my kitchen smells like grease - I dont' like it one bit. - it's rare that I make apple slices dipped in batter and fried. bc it's not good for me that's why ;) - I try to make things mom used to have as a child.
it was very good though - I had 1/2 of one slice
I have to the door open for fresh air.

got mom groceries - they are still in the car
fruit for us bought and put away
wine for the chicken during the week bought.

I have to make dinner for everyone - frittata
salad

mom is watching some tv. first time today

Thinking of all our SHEs & their families who were affected by the hurricanes. Hoping for a good report from dRose, & also our friends who evacuated & are safe. Don't know how much damage they had but the news showed their area was hit pretty hard. They decided ahead of this last storm that they are moving out of F lor ida.

Solving Sunday is so appropriate for me today :) . In order to keep up here I need to log on more than once a day. I usually only read posts mid morning & don't often turn the computer back on for the rest of the day. So checking in sometimes before or after dinner should help solve that.

The other problem I've been thinking about for a while is how to attach the thick foam arm rest pads that I bought & put on my old office chair onto this new one. New chair has a long continuous metal loop on each side with arm rests built in on top, & although padded they are not very soft. Old chair had rectangular rests that foam pads easily slipped onto. Had an idea to put grommets in the material underneath them & lace them up along the bottom to keep them in place. Bought a kits with grommets & tool at A ma zon that had good reviews & it worked great! I put 4 grommets in each & used leftover pipe cleaners from kid craft projects to lace them tightly to chair & that worked well, better than I think string might have. They are snugly attached, don't slip, & feel great! Problem solved :) .

Keep thinking about how wonderful Nancy's kitchen must smell with loaves of bread baking in her oven. (Yes, I'm hungry ;) ). When dh gets out of the shower we will have leftover pork chops, stuffing & carrots. There's some leftover roasted broccoli, too.

~~~ Waving to all. Hope you have a wonderful, restful evening.
Late post, but a thought I’ve been meaning to share. It is from James Clear:
“Two is better than one,
But one is infinitely better than zero.”
For example, one minute of exercise is better than zero, one minute of housework is better than zero,
one minute of gardening is better than zero.
I think this is really something I need to hang on to.
Right now, I’m giving myself a gold star for doing bedtime routine before I actually am too exhausted to do it, and doing exercise, even though I didn’t take time to do it first thing.
Dgs has been with me all day, possibly dealing with a stomach virus. Dgd is home with ddil, still coughing, but possibly improving. None of us went to church this morning. Ds is on his way home from your area,LadyM — but he was on the eastern state line, I think.
Busy day tomorrow, but at least I’m ending today better than last night.
Tomorrow is another day.
