Dh helped with the bins for pillows for the porch and we put away the fall pillows and put out winter blues. We also got out the smaller electric menorah that's been on front porch in prior years and it's in our large back window. Doubt it could be seen anywhere but back yard but it looks nice there. He also took out and broke down a couple of corrugated boxes.

I got some heavy white card stock from upstairs for signage tomorrow.

Going to nap a tiny bit.

dear kitty went fast- I wish I could have changed things - she died bc of the same cancer her sister did. Even the vet agreed we were lucky that she lived so much longer without a problem until yesterday. I am glad she came to live with us after her kitten hood experience. At least she was safe all of her life. I have her sisters ashes on my garden desk and when I get Ivy's ashes then I will mix them together and put them in the garden. I have done that with all my animals. She is not in pain.

on the mom end - she is coming home today - that changed fast - mom has some fluids that need a diuretic- her heart rate has equaled out and they are no longer worried about her liver.
she is chatty and happy. She will be coming here tomorrow until tomorrow night.

tomorrow night dd younger or I will spend the night and Monday brother will spend the night.

What we have set up:
a care taker will be there from 7 pm to 9 am starting Tuesday night. The caretaker will feed her breakfast and the care taker will have breakfast too- they can't do her meds - -sad thing is that they are not allowed to sleep - something tells me they will. mom can't be trusted with her meds or even eating. At 9:00 am then I pick her up and bring her here as they don't have anyone available. I will give her meds at pm and drop her off. I might move the person to 8 pm instead

I will have to hire someone for days that I need off.

dh - is ok - he has decided he no longer wants to do work and I have to pick up the slack - I am thinking of hiring cleaning ladies once a week.
It's been a lot - dd younger is overwhelmed at the thought that she has to figure out her new life very fast. She wants to go back to Florida for 2 months but I don't think my brother will let her be there herself.

My uncle was given my mom's car (Florida) by my brother (I thought to borrow) nope - my uncle gave his daughter his car and took mom's. my brother said my uncle does so much for my mom. He does nothing for my mom - it's rare he even saw her. I am upset by the way my family is. No one acknowledges how much dd younger did for my mom.

I really would love to go visit a cottage in the woods with the dogs. dd younger could have her own cottage - what do you think? :D
I have to clean up - make dinner- mom is coming over soon. A new normal. poor dd older is getting pushy like my family - but it's out of caring and stress. but still it's too much like my family.

what is going to happen next: I have no idea!

I think I need a vacation. 8-)

bw2, I think I'd run away and change my name. What a lot to deal with at once. I'm thinking of you. Take care of yourself first.

((( blessed))) I know I would be dreaming of a vacation if I were in your shoes! My goodness. You are doing GREAT, and you are doing all the right things.

And (((Harriet))) I know you must be a little bit “traumatized” as your dgs said, but I’m sure you look very chic and sophisticated. (This is my constant struggle with my hair; I will never be described as “sophisticated.” My hair is thick, curly-wavy, and in outdoor situations, if is not in a ponytail or clipped up, then it resembles Roseanne Roseannadanna from the early days of SNL, only mine is just barely shoulder-length.)

Anyway, I hate to bring up my worries when you, Harriet, are facing real-like treatments, but I would like to ask for some prayers. Something is apparently going on in my lower half and I’m scared to call the doctor. But I promise I will, Twins. (See J&C.)
Tomorrow is another day.

I went out to do some errands. Some got done and some didn't. The grocery store didn't have either thing I was looking for. The bank I wanted to go to was closed. The 2 large totes got donated.

Lucy (TMI) sit down and do your business. Wipe the area clean. Wait a minute or two. Wipe the back, check the paper. Using fresh paper wipe the front and check the paper. Wait another moment or two. If either area had blood, wipe that area with fresh paper again. It could "just" be a hemorroid (sp).
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

My heart is hurting but so is everyone else's (but dh-he does not like cats) First time in 34 years that I haven't had a cat/kitten.
I tossed out the bed and the cat litter box.

dh is puttering

Blessed… when we had helpers for my mom, they weren’t allowed to give my mom her meds, but they could take her into the kitchen where her pill dispenser was and watch as my mom took her own meds.

So sorry about your kitty. Cancer took three of mine. Two were sisters …hugs

My work shop went well was pretty much a repeat but for a new year I was glad to do that.
I cleared off a couple of surfaces while listening so that was good too.
Then drove the truck around a bit to say it has been done glad all is well.
Walked most of my steps "saved" a few for seeing the lites with ddoggo.

Hydrating.
Did some knitting and have a new color going now that makes it more fun.
