Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
Mystery we have at least 3 drifts in the backyard that might be a metre high. Right now it looks like there are 3 boats that are all upside down and painted white. Unfortunately one of those drifts is between the house and the woodpile. We really need to move that darn woodpile to a better location. Dh doesn't want to pile any wood against the house. The closest we come to wallet biopsies at the hospital is paying for parking when we leave. Dmil lives near a hospital where I have paid over $20 after less than a 1 hour visit. Locally our hospital isn't as bed, but parking still has to be paid for. Mobility aids also cost money, as do prescriptions if you get them at the hospital. We wait until we can go to our regular pharmacy to get the prescriptions filled.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
The trails I shoveled in the back yard are now green area free of snow for the ddoggo & I to walk on later.
I am studying the microwave settings in the manual.
I am rounding stuff up that seems to be clutter in the main part of the house.
Moving these off the table will be my anti P. task tomorrow.
Tomorrow is also desk day for me I have one item to pay attn. to. x

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
I'm very late checking in tonight (well, it is Wednesday, I guess -- I just missed midnight.)
I just wanted to check in and let Mystery know, my pre-registration appt is tomorrow (Wednesday) and I will meet the doctor afterwards. So I'm looking forward to that, * but I am hoping, surely, she will not have to give me an exam in the office tomorrow! I feel pretty good about it all -- but my goodness, just saw where Harriet had to have biopsy done without anesthesia, so again, I am relieved that I will get to sleep through this! Ladies at teacher group today were concerned that I have someone with me afterwards, but I don't really think that is necessary -- I mean, after I get home. I expect to have some cramping and bleeding; they have told me to be prepared for that. But I think I'll be fine to just take it easy on the couch and the bed and feel no guilt at all for being lazy!
One of the ladies at the meeting offered to drive me next week if DS could not. That is at least two people who have said they would go with me if DS couldn't. That's really nice, and makes me feel humbled and so appreciative.
No real ta-das for today except I finished the laundry.
DS had a friend (band mate) and his wife who were travelling through on their way to FL. We all met and ate at our local steakhouse. That was nice. Otherwise, I have eaten a LOT of junk today. After teacher group, I was hungry and tired, and that is a dangerous combination for me.
It IS cold around here... and getting colder... schools closed tomorrow... chance of anywhere from 1.5 -- 4 inches snow. I've heard different reports. However, the winter weather advisory only lasts through 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, and I don't have to leave for my appt until around 1:00 pm. And the roads are pretty good between here and there.
Dbil's birthday party tomorrow night is cancelled -- dsisil2b decided it might be difficult trouble for dbil's kids, who live in TN.
DS says our church is already cancelled for tomorrow night (we were only having children's activities.) I have not seen anything about that -- I don't know if he saw it on FB or if ddil just got a text because she works with the children.
I am having some very generalized, but sharp, pains in my TEETH. I think it has to be the cold weather affecting my sinuses. It does not seem to be a single tooth. Just very generalized. Hmmm...I'm going to take some Aleve before I go to bed.
Oh -- headlines of our daily paper -- Hospital Closing. They may keep the ER open 6 months or so, but it is coming. They plan to move the ER to the urgent care center and extend the hours, but it will not be a 24-hr ER. They will also keep the outpatient services operating -- lab, MRI/CT/radiology, Physical Therapy, and eventually (within 18-24 months) these will be relocated to the ER/Urgent Care facility, which will have to undergo some remodeling or possibly require building another facility. A larger hospital, which we are already affiliated with, will take over these operations. (The current building was built in 1953; it is a 98-bed facility and remodeling it is not financially reasonable.)
They say 99% of our hospital patients are out-patient and a large portion of our ER and inpatient services are never paid for -- common in rural areas of our state. But... as LadyM mentioned in another post, this means after hours, emergency situations will have to travel approx. 30 minutes for care. It's a sad day and so many of our nurses are upset -- several of them have spent their entire careers at our little hospital. I feel bad about it, but I am glad ddil got a different job when she did. She will remain on staff at our local hospital as well, working weekends whenever she can, as needed.
