I need to eat something and get ready for workout but I'm tired. I'd blow off the workout but I'd still need to run the errands....

I just filled out the continuing education questionnaire for the Association of Professional Genealogists. It was due on 31 January and I just hadn't gotten it done. It's been on my list for weeks. I've been taken out of their online listing because I hadn't filled it out. OTOH, I'm not looking for clients so whatever.

Rebooted laundry over to dryer. When I started to fold the load that was in the dryer this a.m. I realized it was still damp. I had moved that load over but not started the dryer. I rewashed it after the sheets were washed (dcleaning lady kindly put them back on the bed) and it's in dryer. Need to do some other laundry too.

I hadn't realized this week had taken so much out of me.

I have picked up the back yard after ddoggo.
Got one load of stuff folded and most is put away except what I'll wear after I shower it will be in the bathroom.
Sheets are & other load are folded and put away.

MIlder temps. has ddoggo excited for a walk.
I think I've figured out how I can put that piece that fell off the shed back on and just nail it on.
I have some boards in the other shed to use for it.

Got my journaling done for today.
Had my bfast too.
Walked ddoggo.
Got a shelf in the potting shed unloaded yea!
Did up the dishes.
Did more organizing in the potting shed & swept the patio and cleaned off the patio workstation.
Waving to all who follow.

Good afternoon!

Glad to see lucylee back to herself, even if that self still has its days and nights mixed up. ;)

The raccoons and the stew are VERY different things! Unfortunately, we've caught two more raccoons, so we may not be done. DD, however, reports not hearing any scratching above her head last night, so these may be other neighborhood raccoons we've got. The trapper says he can seal up the hole where they've been getting in. We were going to wait to have the repair done when we get other home repairs done this spring, but sooner may be better than later, especially when he says he can fix it for $150 or so, and it's $99 to remove a raccoon.

Chilly and rainy here -- I'd almost rather have snow. Damp cold just sinks down into me.

Working on the grocery list. Have got all the dinner ingredients on; now need to add breakfasts, lunches, and snacks.

I did indeed skip my workout. I got dressed, left the house, and decided to do the errands only. Realized I hadn't eaten enough today - I skipped breakfast early because dcleaning lady was coming then I wanted to get out to grocery. And I had an apple and peanut butter snack before I headed out but I was feeling weak. I made a burger - without bun, and downed it when I got home. I think I'll lie down for a rest.

I have done everything on my list for today except for working out. Five stops at different places plus taking care of outside plants. Of the list I made in the car this a.m. of 7 I've done two.

I'm enjoying a slower paced day. My right hip is not playing nice so I took Advil and am trying to limit my movement. I am not a good patient.

DD13 is home from school. DS16 has finished his homeschool and workday. DS16 GF is here which is almost a daily happening. She frequently spends 2-10 hours a day here. DS16 said 2 of his friends are coming over and they are all detailing their vehicles in our driveway this evening.

I don't have food ready for the evening and don't want to push myself to stand in the kitchen while my hip is being a PITA. My easiest solution and teen favorite for this type of situation is ordering pizza. DS16 & GF can pick them up for me.

Yes, I guess I'm back to myself, LOL... I NEVER closed my eyes last night, y'all. I was up literally the entire night; called my mom at 6:30 a.m., because I realized that she probably told me to call her again after I had a nap yesterday. But I didn't think about it last night, and after the procedure, I barely talked to her because my mouth was so dry -- Mystery, did you have that experience? I mean, my mouth was so dry my lips were sticking to my teeth! Dmom keeps a bottle of water with her all the time because she says her dentures have this effect on her. I never understood what she was talking about.
And my throat is still sore.
But otherwise, I'm good -- at least I'm in no worse shape than I was when Aunt Flo used to visit. ;) Just cramps -- but I'm not taking pain meds or even Tylenol, and I don't need a heating pad or anything like I used a lot when I was younger.
I think I'll go have lunch with Dfriend tomorrow. I've been out today, drove to the post office.
But surprisingly, I'm not even super sleepy. I'm really going to make an effort to stay awake till a reasonable bedtime tonight!

I guess I earned a few thumbs up today --
* s2s, washed hair, did Bible reading
* Phone call to Good Housekeeping magazine. (Somehow I had THREE active subscriptions. I couldn't get to a "cancel" button online so I had to call them.)
* Phone call to the ag office which has been closed and needed my signature on a paper they had mailed me. Mailed that back to them -- found out their office flooded and that's why they've been closed, spread out among other offices and working from home, apparently.
* Printed out pages for dmom's birthday book (I'm going to put all this in page protectors tonight * instead of napping! *)
* Called Dfriend from teacher group who sent dmom a card in the mail
* Talked to DS -- they had to go to a meeting with dgd's teachers because she has some problems with reading. The gist of the meeting is not to worry; teacher expects DGD to finish the year doing fine for fourth grade.
* I will also need to reconcile checkbook and statement later.
* Talked to nurse from hospital -- she just called to see if everything was going okay with me. I thought that was nice.
* Called dermatologist to re-schedule April check-up, after they sent text saying they had to change.
(I'm thinking I may have to re-reschedule, though, because my new check-up is 2 days short of a full year. I don't know if insurance will pay for two general check-ups within a year.)

I'm really getting sleepy now that I'm sitting here typing and I've only eaten the last of the chicken salad, with some crackers, and some Chex Mix.
That won't be enough for supper, but I am going to try not to eat junk food all night.
Maybe a 20 minute nap?
Tomorrow is another day.

Yay and thumbs up because so happy to hear about those feeling better today.

Nancy, you've gotten a lot done as you recuperated today.

LadyM, sorry your hip has decided to protest some. Hope it feels better soon.

Gee, Mystery, I was thinking the critters would not come around anymore - yes to covering up that access sooner!

Today has been super eventful. Some is more likely for J and C and I'll make that post soon. But the technology to get the appt to work was fine. Poor doctor is so sick with Covid! (and just think how she is careful to do all the smart things to avoid it, so that is a cautionary tale at this time) Ddolder stayed with us to be a third set of ears to get all the info. I took it down by hand, then transposed to email for all the kids while I could still read my writing. I am going to be a busy patient for the next 2 months.

Ds picked up the frustrating script and he and his children brought it by after school/dentist.

It was photosynthesis day for the sprouts and those are processed properly now, in the fridge and labeled.
Also, I finished indoor plant care in general.

We have had a busy day, and, like Twins' breakfast, each meal postponed, so I'm off to get supper started.
