I ordered Walla Walla sets - I was going to grow seed but I didn't buy it like I thought and it's too late now to grow onion seeds.

Walla Walla sets
Ohhhhh! I love Walla Walla.
I have been planting a dozen or so onion sets a day. I want to plant in succession, so I don't lose everything if/when we have a super cold snap again. (83F today) Also by not planting everything at the same time then theoretically they can be harvested over an extended period of time. Maybe. That is part of the joy of gardening is giving it a try and seeing what happens.

I am still taking Advil to ease the right side pain so I can slowly walk. Tomorrow will be day #3 so I am hopeful I am near the end of this discomfort.

DD13 is with DD49. DS16 & GF are grocery shopping with another couple. They are discovering that group grocery shopping can be entertainment. When did this happen?
ANYway - DH and I are home alone....with quiet and calmness.

It is the last day of the month. Eeek! Do I have the pages set up for March? Nooooooope. I love that process because it is a fresh clean slate with new possibilities.

......LATER. i am done setting up March templates in Excel and OneNote. It only took about 15 minutes to accomplish. It was quicker because February and March both start on a Saturday.

d Nancy that's so cool!! I can't wait to hear about your pumpkins!
daffodils already! so exciting!

d lady - I have been thinking of doing the same thing - I didn't get any onions last year - I planted them all at once and I thought I wouldn't do that again - I love the adventure of trying new things in new ways! I can't wait to hear about your garden this season!!!

sweet dreams everyone.

I guess I sorta "celebrated" Freedom Friday -- halfway, at least. Dfriend and I had lunch at a local bakery/sandwich shop. That was so nice; an old friend of ours who has moved to another state was there also with her mother, who was celebrating her 86th birthday. We all grew up in the same church and this lady worked at the bank with my mom years ago. So we all had a nice visit. Another friend, in another different state, had sent me a text asking how I was feeling since the procedure, and since I was driving, I just called her and talked to her for a few minutes. So I've been more social today than normal.
As for how I'm feeling, honestly, today I wouldn't know anything had happened at all Wednesday, except I still have the sore throat. It's not horrible, but it is uncomfortable. (Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be hindering my appetite at all.)

Otherwise, I haven't done much today at all, though. Perhaps a sign from the surgery, I needed a nap after I got home from lunch. DGD didn't get here till nearly 6:00 -- they had haircuts this afternoon -- so I was able to sleep a while, and I got a lot of sleep last night, too, finally, but I still felt tired.

Tomorrow will be busy --
I have to get dmom's cake, and
I need to take my air filters to the carwash and spray them -- they are the "permanent" kinds, but they need cleaning occasionally, and the light has been on since the really cold weather we had last week. I should vacuum them first; then take them to the carwash.
I also need to reconcile the checkbook -- right, I didn't do that the other day when the statement arrived.
Dmom has decided she would rather come to my house for her birthday dinner -- probably because she can leave when she gets ready, LOL. (She wouldn't want to tell us to go home if we were at her house!) She also mentioned that the dgrands have more stuff to entertain themselves with here at my house.

I'm going to try to get to bed earlier tonight, so y'all please forgive me for just sending everyone a big wave and good night.
Tomorrow is another day.
