Re: Star Fruit Saturday 15th March 2025
Trussingβ¦ donβt think itβs the same person. Norma was from Washington st and moved to Nevada. She eventually started wintering in the town next to me in AZ. In her earlier years she worked for the FBI and later started selling large boats and yachts. I know she was on your board cause she was always updating me abt AF because she knew I remembered her. I donβt know if she used her name Norma on your board or something else. Her birthday is on Christmas Day

Rose, "our Normy" was definitely not FBI, so it must a different one
I was not able to finish the veggie garden, because I am all out of granulated manure (what I though was another bag was actually starter dirt, which of course I went out and bought more as I though I had none left, duh) and neither of the small corner stores around here have any (while it might be strange to look for granulated manure in a grocery store, these little Vietnamese stores carry everything, even planting dirt and potted flowers, so it wasn't such a crazy thought!). Well, it'l have to wait till Monday!

I am Facebook friends with "our Norm." Her profile doesn't say anything about FBI - though not sure if it would even if she was. It mostly contains things of a fitness/yoga nature and she's from the UK.

I'm back from the Irish Dance performance. That had to do quite a bit of maneuvering pallets to get them a dance space in the middle of the grocery store.
Checking to see if emojis can be posted....

Re: Star Fruit Saturday 15th March 2025
Hello, everyone!
Welcome, L.Ann - it's so very good to "see" you!
WTG with all your hard work in the garden today, Trissie. DH only went for the day to Bridport - it's about 45 miles each way, so quite doable on the train.
FFB, I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time at work. Hopefully with your boss off for a week it will give you a bit of a break. For some reason we appear to be watching Wales v England this evening - apparently it's a recording!
Gma, that's a big drop in temperature! Were colder as well this weekend, but it's unlikely we'll get any more snow down here.
Helian, ues, I think I will post a link to my dolls house blog in the Arts and Crafts section - that's a very good idea, as some other people may be interested. With moving your DMum, signing the lease was one of the most important things, as now the room is "hers". Maybe you could break everything else you need to do to facilitate her move into tiny baby steps, and then tackle it one step at a time? She's safe and cared for where she is ATM, although it will be better for everyone when she does finally make the move nearer you.
If I had the chance I would probably support Scotland tonight, although,.as I explained to FFB, for some reason we appear to be watching a recording of Wales playing England!!!
Nancy, I'm impressed you have a YouTube channel. I'll look them up. I've posted a few videos for Freddie walking for the vet to check his gait (he has hip displasia, but he either refuses to come out of his carrier at the vet, or he lunges forward and attacks people, so no one gets to see him walking normally there).
Twins, my list is a mixture of regular routines (I have to break it down into steps - if I just put "morning routine" then I'd probably end up missing things out, appointments and brain dump areas of things I would like to do *some day*.
Sunflowers are always so cheerful, Rose! I had some free seeds with a recent issue of my gardening magazine , so hopefully I'll have some too!
Harriet, thank you for your clear and kind explanation and words of advice.
The Irish Dance performance sounded fun, Smilelee. You must be a very proud Grandma!
It's been a very good day. As the garden centre ended up delivering late yesterday (they were scheduled for Monday, but as we're just over the hill we probably got added into a trip) I was able to top up the bark on the little path through the middle of the front garden. And I planted all those pansies I bought yesterday in pots. I had a good chat with Dneighbour D, but by them it was starting to get cold(er) so I came back indoors, just in time.for a.phome.call from DF PL (we're keeping an eye on her Mum for the next couple of weeks while PL gets a much needed holiday). I've baked my coffee loaf cake for MQ's birthday celebration, made flapjack for us, and prepped tomorrow's lunch. I'm ready for bed, but that may have to wait, as Jude has decided she *must* have my lap.

Re: Star Fruit Saturday 15th March 2025
Nice to see you made it over here, L Ann. That is a lot of driving.
I see you're not watching the rugby match, Kitty. That sounds like a productive day with progress in your garden and some baking!
FFB, I see France won! Congratulations!
I love that avatar, Smile!!
What movie did you watch, trissie?
RRose, I remember Norma here but I don't remember seeing her on the other board. But I stuck strictly to one thread and she may have posted regularly on a different thread.
I'm not sure Peaches has made it over here.
Well, I didn't make much of a dent in my list.
But I did get the payroll chapter done, jogged a 5K, and went to the the baby shower!
Next:
- payroll: update time sheet
- duo
- get ready for bed
- update toodledo?
Later:
- some qt
- make the bed
- put away clean bedding
- update toodledo and lists in notebook
- don't forget to update timesheet
- WF
- clean fridge: progress
- duo
TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- email deletions; checked SHE websites; weather website
- payroll: communications re: chapter
- payroll: put in the model essay and material around it
- back exercises
- dressed to jog
- jogged 5K
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- wrapped books for baby shower game
- 2:20 - 4:15 baby shower
- home; exhausted and didn't do much. *sheesh*
- dinner: cumin pasta (LO from freezer), green salad
- after dinner clean up
- payroll: did a quick read through of the chapter
- updated health apps
