It’s Thursday which means it’s laundry day!

Got that going and have been working on and off around the house. Took care of my sunnies earlier this morning, but plan on watering them with Miracle Grow once the mowers are finished with their work.

We have boxed up my new rug because it was too big for the area and ordered a new one. Am waiting on Sweetie who is sleeping at the moment, to see how he feels. I want return it. I need Sweeties help to take it to kohls for an a mozon return.. I can still wait a day or two if he’s not feeling up to it.

If not I’ll spend some of my day going day my rabbit hole

Body work i.e. massage seems to have helped headache a bit. He did a lot of work my shoulders, neck and face/forehead. Said my back from underarm level to shoulders was very tight as well.

I went to Staples thinking I would get the 115 pages of the genealogy booklet scanned and then bound with dividers and the scanning was $130. Needless to say I can do it at home, but it's troublesome because some pages don't want to feed. So I just started the process, working in sections. I also bought a new USB drive at Staples, the ones I have are ancient. I assume library will have scanners for microfilm - one can send images directly to the USB drive to save instead of printing. I'd rather have a new one that is bigger and hasn't been carried around in my purse forever. While out I also went the post office to check mail for the HOA.

I'll need to leave for workout in a little more than an hour. I need to eat something - only had time for fruit and yogurt earlier.

I am feeling so pressed for time right now. In and out of the house today. Tomorrow I only have a haircut and no commitments (for now) for Saturday. I need to keep it open. I suggested to dh that we eat out tonight if I feel better. Dh was asleep in his chair when my webinar was over, and ate bread with cheese and read in bed.

What tools and practices keep you thriving in 2025?
I am experimenting with putting more detailed focus and planning effort on categories instead of grouping everything in my life together. I think it is going to be worth the effort of learning how to best achieve the separation. I am using SHE topics to help me keep the categories apart from each other so I can focus individually on them.
Health & Fitness
Happening in the kitchen
Raised Bed Gardening

Homeschool is done for the day. The new month is looming so I will need to spend some time in the next few days planning the lessons for April in all the curriculums.

I keep adding items to today's to-do list just so I can cross them off: Mending, reset dining table are two of them.

I've tested the printer and BluRay player rescued from the Stuff Swap. As our local thrift store no long takes electronics (no time to test each one, and having done two, I understand this), so I didn't drop them at Staple's e-waste pile but brought them back home. The printer doesn't have a driver for Windows 11 so I couldn't test it any further. That took so long, I'm not going to bother with the second printer which is quite heavy so is still in the car. I'll stop by Staples on the way to the airport.

The BluRay player connected to a tv just fine and loaded a movie, but it is a tiny one without any buttons on it and the remote control wasn't dropped off with it. Sigh.... I've posted in our FB group asking if the person who dropped it off has the remote still. If so, I'll keep it because we can use it to play movies in the social room (they put in a 48" tv but didn't connect it to cable so it can only be used as a computer monitor at this point. Funnily enough, you can cast to it if it is connected to the same network as you, so the person who lived in the bachelor apartment above the social room would go there to watch movies because she could stream through her wifi. Now that she's moved, we are back to only being able to use it as a computer monitor. This BluRay player could change that.

Now I'm off to take out the garbage and recycling, and something to our storage locker. Before that, though, I'll start the washing machine.

Fielded a long call from hospital coordinator and scribbled down a few notes in crowded calendar, but mostly we are just going to have to see each other tomorrow during another appt. She will make out a new typed calendar for me by then with all the changes. She says if for some reason ddil can't get by to take off bandage, she will ask an RN to do it for me in the morning while she and I talk. She has moved all my appts tomorrow back one-half hour each so I'm glad she caught me.

I am seeing white dogwood blossoms just peeking out of the woods beside us. And my dmother's pink dogwood outside my office window and bedroom window has tiny buds starting - it is always a little later than the wild ones. Looks like some of the buds may be an inch.

The buds sound delightful, Harriet!

I got three items off my list and the washer just buzzed so the laundry will get one bit closer to being crossed off.

Next up: Something to eat or prepare the spare bedroom for me. I can't decide if I should make dh sleep there or me. It seems whenever Covid is in the household I end up in that bed, whether or not I'm the one with it!

Can't forget to dust the office, either. That's something I obviously have an aversion to since it is a quick job and yet it isn't done.

I worked out, always a good workout. I am tired as usual but it's always a good tired. I think my headache is still with me.

Dh is home early and on the phone. Across the room from he I can hear the person he's talking to - or rather, that's talking to him, lol.

I'm going to continue on the scanning job for now. It's going well and I want to get it done. I need to do some planning for tomorrow, when I actually do have time to do things I need to do.

I created the April calendar to start planning homeschool curriculums. However, I got sidetracked from homeschool planning when I realized how packed with medical appointments in the first week of April. We have seven medical type appointments in the first 7 days of April. It unnerved me at first but if I just focus on one day at a time, it should be fine. I'm glad I didn't procrastinate on planning April because I need to be on my A-game to get through it.

Next up = Pick DD13 up from school

Ugh, I nearly finished with scanning my documents and the first one is too large to upload to Adobe to add a page. So I started over, and I'm doing a batch at a time and won't have it in one document. So goes it. Dh nearly drove me to distraction on the phone - I hope he's not sitting around talking for hours on the phone when he retires?

We walked the ddog - one lap for me and he went another lap with her. I'm over 10K steps today - I was out of breath a lot at workout and when I am they have me walk a lap around the room, so I get in additional steps.

Decided not to cook and found some smoked brisket in the freezer. It's a little on the fatty side but I'll roast broccoli to go with it and call it enough. Ah, we could have berries also for a "slow carb."
