I went and got groceries but the weather isn't great right now, so I didn't go to the bank. Most of the groceries are already put away.

Twins energy is low today, I woke up feeling tired! Perhaps after two days of driving, then the adrenelene of being here yesterday, I'm just now feeling it. I'm also sneezing and hoping I'm not getting sick. Ds was in Washington, D.C. to see Z, our other son last weekend and came home sick. He had a 101 fever when he called me Monday and had forgotten that I was away. I suspect he has either the flu or covid.

This "group" is interesting. Three other members, plus the guy who puts it together and "leads" and a friend of his. The other three members are older and all have canes and more limited mobility and poorer hearing. I'll skip dinner with them tonight I think, it was hard to get away after eating last night.

This building is massive but only two+ stories, probably four reading rooms the size of the Reading room at the Tennessee State Library and Archives. I had 8K steps yesterday, I can walk a "lap" of the building through all the reading rooms. I had lunch downstairs in the "cafe" and am contemplating what I'm doing next.

RR, glad you have your application almost done. The registrar in my chapter checks everything before she signs off and she is a stickler for all the DAR abbreviations and citation rules.

I decided to send a request for a book I'd like to look at. In 10 minutes or so it will be delivered to the main desk here. There's not a monitor in this room but there are monitors around that show a list for patrons for whom books are waiting. While I wait the 10 min or so, I'm going to do a lap in the building and use the bathroom, lol.

It is time for our semiannual teeth cleaning and checkup appt at dentist. DH, DS16 and DD13 have appointments this afternoon with our family dentist. I have an appt tomorrow with the periodontal office for deep cleaning. Today's appts will include an hour drive to city while my appt tomorrow requires a 2 hour drive to the big city.
The unknown.....will DS16 and/or DD13 have their first cavity? They have always had perfect teeth at every appointment. I find that somewhat astonishing and neither teen needs braces.
Today's appointments means that DD13 will miss the last class of the day. I told her to meet me in the school office at the beginning of 7th hour (2:50pm) and I will sign her out.
DS16 boss sent him on an errand to pick up equipment at the John Deere dealership about 30 miles the opposite direction. DS16 is going to be cutting it close to make it back in time for his appt. He will drive from the dealership to the dentist's office and meet us there.

I have a couple errands to do after the appts are over.

Good afternoon! I've definitely been lacking in energy here. It's a gloomy day, with heavy rain on and off. It is supposed to get warmer once this front goes through -- I"ll believe it when I see it. I dozed much of the morning. Waited to log on to the work computer; was not expecting to see any reply to the questions I sent the artist yesterday afternoon till later, but apparently he's an early riser, and the answers were in my in box before 8 am. :shock:

My children have been captivated today by the latest announcements from Nin ten do. They've finally announced a release date for the Switch 2 (I don't remember what it is, but it's relatively soon. They've also announced a slew of software that will be available for it. Anyhow, it was an hour long video that DD watched before going to work and went on and on about, so that DC decided to watch it for themself after lunch. They did not, however, announce a suggested price. If we get it, it won't likely be the way we did with the Switch -- DD won it in a contest. Ah, well, DD has a job now and can save up for it if she likes.

I have a crockpot of broccoli cheese soup going for dinner. I need to check on the balance of it soon. Last I checked, the cheese hadn't entirely melted yet.

Hugs to you all, especially to those of you who are feeling poorly or worried about it.

I'm going to clean up my lunch now (it was a late lunch, but still, the dishes have been sitting longer than they ought to). After that, I'm not sure whether my destination will be Mt. Washmore or Mt. Dishmore.

Good evening/morning, whatever. I definitely have no energy.

Mystery, it's been really gray around here most of the day, and it was 85 degrees! I kept expecting storms, and we were under a thunderstorm warning, but so far, just wind. Looks like the real storms stayed north of us. Cathy, are you getting snow again?
My goodness, another Nintendo... dgrands have the Switch, so I wonder if they will be wanting to upgrade soon.

Nancy, I need to do some pruning too. Especially at the road, where my water meter is. There's a small tree that really blocks access to the meter and I don't know if the water dept even tries to read it or if they are just making a guess at it. :roll:

I hope all went well with the dentist today, LadyM.

Good to hear from you, Twins. Sounds like a good trip!

(((Harriet))) I know you will be so glad when all this is in the rearview mirror.

(((Rose))) Hope you are feeling better soon!

I'm falling asleep as I type -- and I have already had a short nap on the couch. Of course, it's after 1:30 a.m., so I guess most sensible people ARE sleeping.
Busy afternoon/evening --
* post office
* dmom's bank, deposited rental check
* dmom's house, got some more clothes, heating pad and back massager, which she had sent word via ddil that she wanted
* rehab -- label things, sign a million papers, got dmom's phone working -- or at least, it LOOKS like it is working, but it is not receiving calls or messages. Didn't try to make a call, actually. Probably need to call C*nsumer C*llular.
* back to dmom's house, pick up more stuff for ddil to take to her tomorrow. I've got to have a day off.
* Wmart for more stuff dmom requested
* Home, get cookies for tonight at church
* Help with supper at church, stayed for adult Bible study
* HOME.

News Flash -- dmom no longer thinks she needs the PureWick. SMH... (with thanksgiving). She had a "dry" night so now she thinks she can deal with this situation, probably just needs to restrict fluids in the evening. Told DS and dbro that they are right; I should never worry about anything dmom says; because she will be on something else by the next day.
She is still very weak, had a rough day with queasiness and apparent low blood sugar. They checked her bs and it was fine, but from familiar symptoms, I think (and she thinks) it was definitely a hypoglycemic episode. She and I are both prone to that.

I have a new worry -- already put this in J&C. DGS is still throwing up. He has missed the whole week of school and can't keep anything on his stomach, not even water. He had blood work and x-rays earlier this week and goes back to the doctor tomorrow. Maybe they will have some answers. Dmom says he probably needs a gastroenterologist. I can't help but worry about him -- as y'all know, this isn't the first time he's had this problem. I worry partly because he takes the Dupixen (sp???) shot for eczema and of course it has a list of a bunch of side effects, some really serious. Maybe the doctor can tell them something tomorrow.
Tomorrow is another day.
