I hope everyone had a good Sunday. Mine was truly blessed. I realized today is the 2 year anniversary of dmom’s passing. I was very fortunate to take care of her, she was still pretty independent in her own home next door to ours, she was of sound mind and able to move around somewhat on her own with a walker. Everything was fine up until her last day and that night she went in her sleep. I hope to go as peacefully. Hope this isn’t too much for anyone to read. I’ve struggled with it for awhile but was at peace today. It was a very calm day with dh, we had a slow morning, I cooked a hearty brunch, we spent time planting trees and plants, scooping up mulch to fill holes (we had some trees removed and they mulched them for our use), after the trees were planted we got a rain shower which normally brings humidity but this rain was short lived and brought cooler weather. Dh found brown feathers in the turkey yard so Ms Turkey has been making visits to Mr Turkey. I cooked some of mom’s favorites for supper and we watched the last of a Netflix series. We saw cardinals and baby doves at the bird feeder. A red light therapy belt came in and dh and I both tried it, seems like we could tell a difference but that might be in my head so we will try it more before we decide if it really works or not. Now I think I’ll find my list from last week and amend it for this coming week. Hard to believe it’s almost May already!
