We have had really good luck with health insurance for the most part thankfully, Trissie. Our only real issue are meds the insurance doesn’t want to cover. We have been able to appeal and get one covered.

Re: Tuna Salad Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
The boards acted up for me earlier, trissie, but seem better now.
That is frustrating at the last-minute overtime. I'm glad that it is over now.
(((Gma))) You are braced against your own sadness at the thought of losing Tutsi, but your mother's as well. But, as you say, maybe if your mother also sees signs of her failing health, it can help to prepare her?
I'm glad that your mother is in a great hospital, helia.
Bama, I got an early start and then just wandered off track. However you get to it, it's all good.
Gma, I would say that Minnesotans are better than Ontarians because we not only complain about the cold, when summer gets going we will complain freely about the heat. And then assure each other "It's not so much the heat, but the humidity!" It allows us to connect with one another without any awkward personal conversations, LOL.
That's good to know, L.Ann.
Hi, Peaches.
Woo hoo and general celebrations on getting the taxes done, trissie. (Thank you, Bama, I was afraid to ask)
It's one of life's ironies that I actually do have migraine now. I'm just going to take the bread out of the breadmaker and lie down while it's cooling. At least I get the luxury of lying down and closing my eyes.
I take it back. Board is acting up. I'll see if I can get this through.

Re: Tuna Salad Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Gma and others, yes, I'm hoping/ thinking this will be really good for Mom for the time she has left. The hospital is so thorough - I think partially bc they have no med records on her, and also they want to make sure the NH can provide for all her needs. Examples of the breadth of care they're tapping into - speech pathology came in, and I think there's a PT consult later today, and I'm not sure if there's a dentist stopping by or not. (I've got the paperwork in for her to see the dentist that comes to the NH once/ month as well as PT/ OT at the NH.) Cardiology came in and then a cardiac electrophysiologist. They've asked about glasses -- she had them at the old NH. They broke and I didn't know how to get them replaced and neither did that NH. I hope the hospital isn't over-functioning. BUT it will be SO good to get a proper handle on Mom's health and needs going forward. Maybe she will feel better and wake up a bit once she receives better/ appropriate care - who knows?? Since I'm here, I can track and monitor things, which I couldn't easily do when she was in IL.
I've been at home for a couple hours - had lunch and relaxed. I'm going to run to WF to get stuff for tonight + a few odds and ends. Then, I'll head back to the hospital for a short time.

Dirt has been spread in driveway, has gravel mixed in to harden so it won’t be muddy, I’m tired like I did all the work myself.
I did pick some berries and pu sticks while I was out there. Now I’m back in cooling off before I get back to work.

Cheers trissie for doing the dreaded thing.
Have a good visit, helia.
Yikes Dogged, hope the migraine has eased up. Who knew you were so powerful
Wtg, peaches and LAnn!
Updating my list and logging today’s meals and activity. I need to eat more
and move more
Leaving rooms for another day, it’s supposed to rain the next couple of days, and heading outside to get things planted, berries along fence picked, seeds spread…

Re: Tuna Salad Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Tuesday
Called the Absent Line at work to tell them that I’m not well and won’t be in.
Put on pot of coffee
Filled breadmaker
No flour canister
Went through the bin of dry food to find the oldest flour
Dog rejected the hydrolysed protein food as reward for using pee pad
Opened the last container of Go! And set up plastic container for it.
Earned dog’s approval
Set up/filled flour canister
Worked on filling breadmaker
Dog pooped. Cleaned up after dog:
Washed part of the floor
Went toward the bathroom for supplies, found myself in the kitchen with the canisters in chaos.
Reorganized the canister corner to put away the flour.
Found a plastic container of very cool “okra chips” that I had forgotten about. They are whole okra, prepared like potato chips. Ate some.
Saw the breadmaker, waiting for yeast.
Went toward the computer to look up the amount. Saw the peepads.
Cleaned up after dog and put down fresh pee pads.
Went around turning on fans.
Came toward computer, couldn’t find coffee cup.
Went to kitchen for coffee cup/coffee, saw the breadmaker.
Came back toward the computer.
Tested the air conditioner fan: does not turn on. Not necessarily a problem; it probably just needs a reset or the plugs checked.
Sat down with cup of coffee
Updated list.
Oh, for pete’s sake! I just got a call from my supervisor claiming that I never showed up for work and never called in. No Call No Show is a serious breach in a call centre environment. It can be used as a part of terminating an employee for cause, which denies them access to unemployment programs. So I called them back and told them the exact time that I called the Absent Line. But they have found a way to make my day off stressful.
My supervisor called back and I told him that I can send him a screenshot of my call to the Absent Line, which he said would be very helpful. He also asked me to call them a second time.
Called the Absent Line.
Got a screenshot showing both calls.
Saved it to the cloud.
Picked it up on my computer.
Emailed it to myself at work.
Signed into the work computer and emailed my supervisor.
Finished filling the breadmaker and started it
When it beeped, added some vegetable flakes, taking inspiration from Gma’s onion/cheese recipe.
Spiffed self
Cleaned up after dog
Took dog for walk
Took out bread and set it out to cool
Put away the dry laundry
Put away drying rack
Bagged dirty laundry
Sampled the bread
I'm going to see if I can wake Germane up and get her interested in taking another walk. It is almost sunny out there.
