I dropped the stitched picture off at the framer's. Wow! I actually have an entire month before his birthday. Hope non-procrastinating of me!!

I also picked up some ex. virg. olive oil that was on sale and 8 cans of tuna. I went to a different store and bought a scrubdaddy because my other yellow one got very over used and well past it's time to be tossed. Poor old mr scrubdaddy looked rather old and worn out by the time he finally left us. I tried his wife, the pink one, but I didn't love the sponge on the one side.

I've also started tossing some older paperwork. Some of it was more than 10 years old. It all got crinkled up so it will burn easier.

So happy that LadyM's son had no issues and he's home and (hopefully) resting.

He is pacing the floor and making plans with DFriends to do things this afternoon. I'm vetoing each of the plans as fast as he is making them.
I am thankful and ABSOLUTELY THRILLED that he is being a PITA because he feels good and doesn't want to stay down today. IMHO this is a wonderful "problem" to have. I told DS16 that as long as he is on 2 pain meds (opioids) then his activities are restricted. He declares that he isn't taking the next dose of pain meds because he would rather have the pain than be stuck doing nothing. We will see how that goes.....
In the meantime, we continue with 20 minutes on/off with the ice packs on both sides of his face.

DD13 is home from school and is now a 9th grader. WhoooHOOO!

Windy outside and so glad I did outside stuff already.

Watched a show tears dramatic the last episode.
Knitted a bit.
I have a plan for meals thawing out stuff now.

DS16 had a friend here that hung around with him for a couple hours. He made the decision to continue pain meds the rest of the day, so the friend went home. DS16 thinks he can do without the pain tomorrow. We will see.....

Tomorrow morning, I will take DD13 to an appointment for brain testing about her memory loss/block.

Then I am going to kick my heels up and welcome the start of summer break.

I am at gymnastics with Dgd.

I started so well earlier today. Put in boots and headed to the end of the driveway with the wheelbarrow, finally prepared to trim the tree that blocks access to the water meter. Cut three branches and the chainsaw quit! Chain jumped off and I cannot get it to tighten up. Yard man is going to try to fix it for me.

I am so sleepy, sitting here waiting on her.

LucyLee I'm too much of a chicken to try to use dh's chainsaws. They are both large. IF I ever need one, I think I would go and buy an electric one. do have an electric hedge trimmer but I don't think that would do tree branches.

I am doing my regular Thursday night kitchen reset. We have been having easy meals all week. Tonight was wieners and beans and dh was able to find cornbread mini loaves at a local store. They measure 1 inch by 2 inches. Teeny, tiny loaves. Dh also happened to find key lime donuts. Way too sweet for my sweet tooth.

I filled another bag with crumbled paper. Foolishly I started reading some of the papers. BAD idea. I think I have 4 bags altogether.

Neighbour's dd had prom tonight, and they had a lot of cars (eight of them) on their driveway, so I offered our driveway. We ended up with 3 on our driveway and there were 4 more cars out on the street. Not a great idea to park on our street. If a wide tractor had come along, there might have been a problem. Plus the ditches start fairly close to the road.

Cathy — I’d be terrified of a full-size chainsaw also! This is a very small one, 4 inch blade. It’s really good for shrubbery and small branches. The man who mows the yard showed up as I was leaving with Dgd and I asked him if he’d look at it and try to fix it.
