Hello, everyone! Just a quick CI to let everyone in know that Vergerswife has posted on today's PWYC thread with some very sad news. To those of us who remember her from the other boards, I'm sure she would be very glad of our support.

Hello all :)
trissie it varies so much how much I work. I could work every day, so it's just how firmly I'm able to say no :D
Any way, 4 days just is too much for me. And I really whine if it's 5!

Hubby retired in 2003 at age of 60. He has a smallish defined benefit pension as he only worked 20 years at that company.

I quit working full time in 2007 at 50, so we could travel etc. It's why I'm still working now. It was the right decision. My pension is a lump sum type and small because I taught less than 20 years FT. I do have a small defined benefit pension from my subbing years. It added up slowly as we took time for trips and while my late daughter was sick I didn't work much.

Hubby never runs out of things to do, but I find I'm better off working part time.

Getting something done. So that's good.

To Do
1. Start lol✅✅✅
2. Kitchen counters
3. Kitchen floor✅
4. Walk at least 5k

1.Hang Laundry outside ✅✅
2.Vacuum couch cushions, rotate✅
3. Move couches, wash LR floor✅
4. Read my chapters for Monday Book Club

1.Put laundry away
2. Make bed
3. Dust anything

My mom fell a couple times in 2 weeks. The NH is using a newish piece of equipment to help her transfer - for her safety and for theirs. She hates it - because she finds it clumsy, because she is "NOT an invalid," and because she wants to be independent. Unfortunately she physically cannot. This keeps both her and the staff safer.
I haven't accomplished anything at my house yet today.
Been to hospital for doctor's rounds with dfBS. She said it was so helpful to have me there.
Then bought graduation cards for the parties I have missed.
Long conversation with dsil about dsis2. Dbro wants to be of help, and it was good to hear dsil perspective. Dsis2 had a house fire almost 4 years ago now, and she hasn't even managed to get the building permit process finished. Dbro took over and we expect it will be issued in about 3 days from now. He is about getting things done. And now the work has to begin! And she doesn't really have a clue about it, even tho she thinks she can handle it.
Then the other person who helps dfBS called me because SHE herself has problems. So I talked her out of her anxiety.
Again I feel like I need to be 3 or more people!
Thank you, kittykatt, for the link to vergerswife sad news about her daughter.
Yes, helian, we had horrible shootings in our state. last I heard, they were still looking for the perpetrator. I'm 80 miles away from where it happened. We have a music festival in our largest city park today. I'm not going, it's only 64 degrees, cloudy, and rain forecast.
And I have so much to do, I don't even have a list or know where to start.

I'll report back when I have decided what to do - and have done it  I need to eat something too.

You know maybe some places it's called the senior prom? I think that's a fancy dress dance? Ours is connected with grad weekend.

Trying to decide when to get ready. Soon probably. There's a whole hour to get in. My sister is going soon to save seats.

Thank you for letting us know, Kitty. I'll pop over and lend my support to Vergers. I remember her from the old boards.
Gma, eat and take care of yourself too. You do so much to take care of others.
I see your menus, L Ann. I also admire the advanced planning. I have no idea what we're eating next week.
You can do it trissie! --Actually, you probably already did it and are sleeping now.
Have fun Lauralind.
Hi Peaches!

And. . . we will be having a granddaughter! :D :D 🎀 Apparently, ds was wanting a girl and ddil F was wanting a boy.

I don't remember if I shared here yesterday or not -- but my mom is back on hospice. This NH wanted her to be evaluated, which happened yesterday. I was at the NH for about 2.5 hours - waiting 1.25 hours for the nurse to arrive. And then providing information and filling out forms. I'm actually happy about this; my mom will be seen by a nurse 2x/ week and by an aide another 2x/ week. She'll get more attention and support. This is her third time in hospice care - she was on it twice in IL. Both times she improved so much that she was eventually kicked off. The same may happen here -- no idea. At least she can now receive the extra care.

Oohh a girl. So sweet. Congratulations helian. So special those Grandkids. That said like a good thing your mom can have more care.

Paige if it is like here teachers have a very hard time retiring. Lots of them end up subbingand could work every day. I hope you can wind it down next year.

Anyway the grad was fun. Dnephew looked great and his girlfriend was beautiful. Ended up going to find mom and dad as mom needed the bathroom in between. Eeks a bit nerve wracking she has issues getting there on time. But all good. Took some pictures after at the local college where it's pretty.

Now I put some fish in to Defrost. Going to reheat the rest of the potatoes from last night and call it supper.
