Little Bit was thrilled to spend the Kohl’s cash, helian. If you want a really good read, I just finished The Correspondent. It is about an older woman in her late 70s who was a lawyer and law clerk to a judge. The whole story is in letters. It is a fast read - short chapters and not too long and it is fascinating to watch a complex story unfold in letters. In most letters there is a short mention of books the writer is currently reading which is a fun aside.

1-not sure what I want to do next

Menus
Wednesday-DD32 out/leftovers for me
Thursday-seared chicken and apple spinach salad
Friday-spicy Peruvian cauliflower bowls

Events
Wednesday-Little Bit 7:40-5, DD32 PS 3-8
Thursday-Little Bit 7:40-3???, visit DM, maybe art garden playground, bloodwork for me
Friday-No Little Bit

Weekly House Blessing-
Detailed cleaning of bathroom-scrub floor
Extra Stuff- work on last Shutterfly book
Little Errands-check dates for summer stock musical

Accomplishments
-stretching and knee exercises
-breakfast for dog and me
-dress and pick up bedroom
-meds, temp and breakfast for DD32
-walk inside
-breakfast for Little Bit
-15 minutes detailed cleaning in bathroom-wash walls, put cleanser on shower walls
-decide what book to read next
-quick kitchen cleanup
-go to Kohls and get gas
-food for Little Bit
-rinse off shower wall
-Little Bit down for her nap
-walk outside
-read
-clean out fridge-starting to prep to go away

Oh, THAT prep Lauralind. Good on you for taking care of your health.
Doggedly, laundry is a big thing! I'm doing towels today.
L Ann! That is so funny. The Correspondent was one of the books that a friend brought and highly recommended. I think several of them have read it. I'll definitely have to look into that one.

OK - I got some things done and then got lost in a podcast and then games. I'm hoping to have dinner on the table in 1.5 hours so need to get moving.

I changed the jog to a walk bc it was hot and also so I could jog more strenuously tomorrow.

Main Goals for Today
1. Work out with AS
2. Walk
3. Procure groceries
4. Email EP
5. Finish laundry: f and p/a 2 loads; towels - w d f pa
6. Write
7. Progress on brain dump items

Next:
- some qt
- towels --> dryer
- record food so far

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- dw 2/3 emptied
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- dress to work out
- gather everything for work out and otd
- 10 - 11 work out w. trainer
- reclaimed kitchen
- lunch
- back exercises
- Kroger order
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- made the bed
- basket of towels: f and p/a
- darks: f and p/a
- towels: washing
- put away groceries

I'll second you on that one, helia! WTG on getting those towels done.

Cleaning out the fridge is a big one too, L.Ann. WTG!

I have had an epiphany. As I was walking Germane, it occurred to me that I don't actually want to drive to the farm stall that is only open when the sun is up to beat down on my non-air-conditioned car. So I didn't. I have spent a good part of my afternoon contemplating my future and I don't think that I can wait for the fall to put in my notice. I won't be doing any kind of effective job search while I'm working in the call centre, as I just feel wrung out all the time and accomplish very little on my off time. I had thought to at least stick it out to my next dental appointment, but I just checked that and it's not next week; it's the end of July. I'm not waiting that long. I have enough savings to tide me over until I get settled, and I can take the summer off.

That's a good idea, L.Ann. I'll call them to ask. But it's just a cleaning, so it won't be a big deal if I have to pay out of pocket, and by next year I should qualify for the new gov't dental program.

Wednesday

Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast and Benedryl for ddog
Made breakfast sandwich
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed some dishes
Put more in to soak
Emptied out granny cart
Spiffed self
Walked dog
Called db: arranged phone visit for after shopping
Went to bank and deposited OAS cheque
Went grocery shopping
Brought up the first load of groceries
Called db for phone visit
Put away cold groceries
Brought Germane down and brought up the rest of the groceries
Continued phone visit with db as I did these things.

Doggedly that will be a big change for you. Seems you work a lot. I think it will be good for you to take a break for a bit if you can afford it. Will you retire or look for a different job after a while?

I did have a productive day. And even chatted with dd for a bit. Bible study was good. Shopping . And even rearranged my chair and such again so the living room and tile floors are actually accessible now. Moving a couple things made a big difference.

That greenhouse... I don't know what to do with it. Feels like I am fighting a losing battle with the chickweed. The poor carrots and beets are almost impossible to find. I did some again today.. the weekend is busy we're invited and doing sound for a wedding Saturday with rehearsal Friday night after work. I might have to go in the morning and do a bit more and maybe more on Sunday cause that test is going to put me out of commission for a few days next week 🤔
