Yes, good for mental health, Kitty. And also to arm myself with facts when "those people" say things that don't make sense. WTG on ordering a new fridge!! Exciting! So nice they'll take the old one when they deliver it.

I'm back from the get together with friends. I was going to go jog immediately afterward -- but I didn't charge my phone overnight, and it was dead this morning. It needs more charge before I can take it on a jog. (I use it to listen to podcasts/ music while jogging.) I'm going to work on the shopping list while I'm waiting for it to charge.

Next:
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- jog

Later:
- back exercises
- dress to jog; gather stuff
- jog the arb hill?
- s2s and self care
- make the bed
- some qt
- darks: f and pa
- lights: w d f pa
- lunch
- grocery list - short
- go to WF? Or order?
- make corn and black bean salad
- figure out fitbit small band (it broke)
- payroll: GGT
- pay bills: lawn guys; magazine renewal
- pay Mom's med bill; let trustee know
- cancel Mom's urology appt. later this month (on hospice)
- start packing
- marinate chicken for the grill
- can I finish tidying the desk?
- can I finish reading the book? (50 more pages)
- 5:45 otd with food to CG2 cook out!
- duo (forgot last night)
- update health apps
- anything else?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self -- down; used back up scale bc other is losing battery life

Morning all. I am actually in my right mind able to process and cuop. Yes gma. I wonder if I had a reaction to the other prep? I was so nauseous. This time I'm wrung out and weak but I don't have to force myself to drink more of that awful stuff. It did actually work in a much gentler fashion. We leave in an hour for a 1045 appointment time.

Kittykat how good the fridge did actually go on sale and it will be delivered and dispose of the old. It will feel like a fresh new kitchen with the making room for it.

Trissie enjoy the cottage. Hope the rain stops.

It's raining here too.

I like that helian. Arming yourself with facts. I have done that myself in specific relationship so they don't make me doubt my sanity thinking I am the wrong one. My dh is good and level headed at that as well and the whole the lands itself in the middle of my family. Trying to navigate mom's care. And he needs himself to reach out because neither of us can do it right. Nough said it's probably confusing like that but maybe not either. Way to go on straightening out all the facts in writing.

Gma your poor mom. She's getting confused so easily these days. I thought of you when reading an email about caregivng to several people at once.

And then one of my other devotionals was based on one of dana k White's books. Hmmm. Food for thought.

Anyway i better get myself ready for the trip.

kittykatt, I hope Matilda's seizure is an isolated incident. Thanks for the turtle dove information. I hope the protection is successful and the population grows.
helian, I too, grew up with mourning doves as a sound of summer. I don't remember hearing them at my home (MN) but in Nebraska where my father's parents lived. To me it was the sound of a hot summer day in Nebraska, where I had loving grandparents, and a small town where they knew everyone. The church was across the street, the grocery store just a short walk, Grandpa's barber shop about 20 yards farther. And Alvin's drug store, where we could get penny candy, just across the street from the grocery. Grandma always brought her own mesh bag to carry the groceries. Idyllic memories.

Now I have to be an adult and clean my refrigerator for garbage day tomorrow.

Thank you for the pleasant start, Kittykatt. I used to have some kind of doves or pigeons where I had my house, and I thought that their song was a nice gentle sound.
You are wise to get your outdoor things done before the heat of the day. It's going to be hot here, but not desperately hot, but very humid.
I hope that Matilda's seizure was a one-off.

I know what you mean, Bama. I think that there are probably a bunch of birds that we just call "pigeons".

That recipe looks delicious, trissie. I suspect that it has to be so tomato-ey to provide enough liquid to cook the pasta.

That is funny about the great big doves in Netherlands, helia. The writers' workshop sounds like it will be very helpful to you.

Hooray for being in your right mind, Lauralind. It sounds like this process has improved a lot.

Those are nice memories, Gma.

Hi, Peaches

patting myself on the back :D
Got my refrigerator cleaned out - ddog died 3 weeks ago, and I had foods that I had specially cooked for her that needed to GO. It's just been dificult to get to that chore. And to pay attention to the fact that I am alone - and don't need to have as much food on hand. Unfortunately I found that I had to toss almost $30 worth of foods.

Mom finally got to sleep about 0130 last night. And towards the end of her "episode" she realized that she had been confused and difficult, and apologized. I have realized that since March 15, 2023 I have been on very high alert regarding her health. When is the other shoe going to drop? as the saying goes. I pay daily attention to mother's wellbeing, to make her life as good as it can be, to make sure that anything preventable, treatable, can be caught when it's early, to prevent serious issues. And of course if there is snything that is not curable, we want to keep her as comfortable as possible. The only thing in that category is her arthritis, and it is not life threatening.

wEll, it's time to head to play BINGO with her, and look at some pictures.

Hi Peaches!
Thinking of you Lauralind and praying the test is accurate and quick and easy to recover from.

I'm moving slowly - but did jog the arb hill which caused me to be drenched in sweat, including the sports bra I had just washed. I'll just let it dry and pack it stinky. LOL!

Oops! Let this sit for a while.

Next:

- can I finish reading the book? (50 more pages)
- 5:45 otd with food to CG2 cook out!
- duo (forgot last night)
- update health apps
- anything else?
- should we put a hold on the newspapers? (Dh has the info for that.)

TaDas!
- up; weighed self -- down; used back up scale bc other is losing battery life

LOL did not find the floss, but the dental hygienist gave me some in my goody bag, helia. I am giving my car a little outing so that it doesn't rust in place, and treating myself to a pizza.
