I missed you too LAnn. ♥️
I do miss all of yall when one of us doesn’t post. My road to good intentions has some u turns apparently, that’s all that kept me away. I wandered off path.

Dogged, we bought a very “as is” home and found out it was a Jim Walter home, kit home from the 70s, and the floor plan is called Hollywood, so that’s our nickname for it, to keep it separate from the other homes of dhs family nearby. The home is close to the road with weeds and trees filling up the rest of the yard and his sister doesn’t really keep it mowed. She lives on the property in her own manufactured home after landlord evicted her, long story there. It’s definitely not Hollywood-esque as far as the city in California goes lol.

Next is pet chores.

That makes more sense than anything I came up with, Bama
Enjoy your dinner. It's good to have you back, whenever a U-turn turns you in our direction!

I am eating a cheese and pickle sandwich. When I used to see British shows with pub goers ordering a cheese and pickle sandwich, I used to wonder "Who on earth would choose that when hot pot was available?" Then one day I made myself one out of curiosity, and it was an eye-opener. It was delicious! If you have ever eaten a cheese sandwich and thought to yourself "I'd like to pour a quarter-inch layer of salt on this, but it would just slide off," well, the pickle accomplishes that.

I have not thought that about salt on a sandwich, Dogged, which goes to show how lacking my taste buds are. I’ll have to try that.

Finished eating and watching big brother, now back to the floors.

Nice to see you Bama! WTG with progress in the kitchen. We all have those days and weeks. Didn't realize your sil was also on the property with you. Sounds like that could be complicated?
LOL Doggedly! I've never had a cheese and pickle sandwich, but I love cheese and I love pickles.
Hi Peaches!
Is your DGS with you now, L Ann?

We had a very animated conversation over dinner, lots of things to catch up on with the Cs. Drama at S' work (and dd29's since they work for the same org). We rehashed our travels to WA. We all oohed and ahhed over J11yo's placing in the state swim meet - 2nd in 2 breaststroke events for 11 and 12 yo girls; she is 11yo, so on the younger side of things (and 4 inches shorter than the 1st place swimmer). In addition, there were 2 puppies in our house - Fable (10 months) and the Cs brought Raven (14 weeks). They get along pretty well, but are active together and there were several p** accidents from Raven. S and J11yo cleaned them all up. It was barely contained chaos. LOL!

I still need to track my food for the day. I ate OK, not great. I didn't get in a walk. :? Tomorrow is another day (said Scarlett O'Hara).

That sounds like a fun evening, helia. And as you say, there's always tomorrow to get things back on track.

WTG on whipping the kitchen into shape, Bama.

I found a new book that I've been listening to. It's called The Underground Railroad Records written in 1872 to record the narratives of escaped slaves and the people who helped them. That's mostly what I have been up to this evening.
And now I'm going to start getting ready for bed. Good night!
