Cathy - Where are you??? >>>>looking left, looking right, looking up, looking down<<<<< I can't find her.
"Olly, olly, oxen free" or "Come out, come out, wherever you are"

How do teens accumulate here during the middle of the weekday? DS17 seems to be always surrounded by 1-6 friends.
DS17 school work isn't finished. I went looking for him and found him with DH in the shop along with 2 of his friends. They are deep into multiple projects and having a great time.

The heat index is below 100°F today, so I told DH he could stay outside all day without any risk of heat stroke if that's what he wants to do. He is happy to be outside doing things.

I've made progress on painting outdoor furniture and planted some carrot seeds. Also 38 SHE cards completed.

Since I watch videos in small bursts, it usually takes me a few days to finish an hour-long show. Still, I enjoy it and appreciate having time to reflect on each short segment I watch. Right now, I’m exploring Michigan's Upper Peninsula (Finnish Community)

d Nancy you are very busy today! ;waving

cleaned out fridge and washed shelves - much needed
all the recycling washed and put in recycling bin.

I wouldn't say I'm back in the groove at all. Dh is home, icing his jaw. I showed him that we have pain meds from my surgeries so hoping I don't need to go out to pick up meds for him.

Has been raining most the afternoon. Going to walk with dMillie before it starts again. Weather channel says I have 20 minutes.

Hi!

It DID rain here this morning. For less than a minute. The patio got wet, but not fully covered with rain drop marks. As of yesterday, there are burn bans in effect for most of the province,

I was actually napping for a while this afternoon. Earlier today we decided on hamburgers and mac and cheese for supper. When I first woke up from my nap I told dh I wasn't BBQing the burgers and I said I wasn't feeling too great. Now he doesn't even want me to make the burgers to cook them on the stove. I guess will will just grab whatever and eat it. I have some tuna and mayo from a sandwich that I made earlier today. We have some nice buns.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.

Hello, everyone! No rain for us - we've had the most beautiful sunny day, hot, but not humid (unlike yesterday, which was less hot, but very, very humid, so very draining).

Today has been mainly housework and gardening, along with feeding DF CW's cat while she is away, and keeping and eye on the plasterer who I think has now finished his work in her DD's room.

DH has been WFH today, so my DPCs have been shifted to tomorrow, when he is taking the day off work to go and volunteer at a restored steam railway line. I am hoping this will be one of the things he will do when he retires, which could be as soon as the end of this year! He needs to leave the house by 7.30 am at the latest, so I should have plenty of time to write out what I need to say and have all my facts to hand before I make the first phone call. Matilda has been on my lap, but has now jumped down, indicating it's now time for her second supper and bed!

DD14 asked if she could hang out with some friends at the park. This thrills me. DD14 tends to isolate herself because she says social cues are too hard to deal with. ANYway, I dropped her off and she is having a new-to-her experience.

18 tacos, tostados, cheese dip and chips was a success. No need to put away leftovers because there is nothing left.

Declaring my reading retreat a win and I will do this again when weather is extreme.

Nice soothing music in the back ground.
I have not napped today.
Ddoggo is napping however.
