Not true, Bama. You did pet chores. And got to hang out with pets. A worthwhile day, says the lady whose dog is curled up in the bathroom ignoring her, LOL.

WTG, Peaches.

Oh, no, L.Ann. You never want to have a problem that the front line agents can't solve. Pack a lunch, this is going to be a long trip.

You are making good use of your time off, trissie. You make me think of my old friend's mother's saying: If you want something done, ask a busy person. They are already in motion."

That is funny about your DD bribing her DB with cheesecake, Lauralind.

I thought that it would be a good idea to wash my hair before starting on thing, and my Inner Brat thought that it would be a good idea to kick the distractions into high drive.

Why do I suddenly want cheesecake? 😂
Trissie, I think each state does their own version so who knows which is authentic anymore lol. (We have a lot of transplants from other areas that claim they can’t find the real deal here)

I have tadas!
Cleaned both toilets
Wiped down main bathroom
Scooped litter boxes
Fed all animals
Watered all animals
Washed all the water bowls

Doggedly, when I wanted pets I pictured them all adoring me and sitting on my lap while I knit or watch tv. Instead they all lay just out of reach and holler for food when I get up lol.

We don't really go to McDonald's -- but once when the kids were very small, we needed a fast meal in the Netherlands and went through the drive through. I don't remember the food -- but I do remember that we could buy beer in the drive through. I don't think that would work here in the US. That was maybe 25 years ago so maybe it's different now.

LOL Bama! We lived in Austin, Texas for 8 years and when we first moved to Michigan, we were dismayed by the lack of "authentic" Mexican restaurants. We have since found a couple that are quite good - dishes not piled with cheese. LOL! I'm actually not particular - Mexican/ Tex Mex - I like it all! LOL at the reality of pets!
Coffee cheese cake does sound good, Doggedly. And that sounds like a good use of the rotisserie chicken carcass.
Oh my, trissie - that is hot! Enjoy dinners with friends! I'm having coffee with 2 friends the next 2 days. :)
HI Peaches.
Good luck with the freight, Lauralind.
WTG cleaning the fridge, L Ann.

I got home from payroll a little after 2, had lunch, and then was so tired, I actually lay down for a bit. I slept a little but not much. I'm up - but still very tired and headachy. I think I have caught a cold or something. . . I don't feel hungry for dinner. I don't feel like cooking -- so that works out alright. LOL! BUT I wasted this afternoon. I DO need to prep for class tomorrow because I'll be meeting with S2, K, and J in the morning before class.

I'm thinking of going to bed super early tonight -- and hopefully getting up super early tomorrow.

The young hawk is complaining again. I'm not 100% sure that's what it is, but I've matched it to audios, and I know this dynamic happens: Mom refuses to keep feeding the young hawk who then complains and tries calling out (incessantly) to get Mom to pay attention to them. This happens here every late summer. . .

Next:

Later:
- some qt
- change to jog
- JOG - short (I jogged yesterday too) - revisit this tomorrow?
- 1 more shelf in fridge
- work on decluttering bin
- bank errand?
- payroll: prep IR D4 (no time tomorrow morning with KS2J get together)
- taco meat --> freezer
- dinner: chicken masala, rice, salad
- after dinner clean up
- duo
- update health apps
- start knitting baby blanket

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - trending down
- coffee
- email deletions + weather websites; a couple say that dh and dd27 will get some rain while backpacking today. One says it will be minimal.
- kitchen reclaimed
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- make the bed
- payroll: update gradelink week 2
- payroll: prep to sub
- otd by 10:45 (or earlier depending on what I need to do to prep)
- 11-1 sub Adv. Writing
- 1-1:40 Instructor Meeting
- payroll: found a couple missing GGT items; emailed teacher
- home, lunch
- feeling extremely tired and headachy; lay down for a bit

Where I live, TexMex is usually just painful heat without a lot of taste, and California Mex is heat but you can taste the salt. I suspect that we are not doing a very good job of replicating the cuisine, LOL.

Helia, the hawk mom sounds like the universal typical mom, she needs a break from her kid. I’m not too picky when it comes to food, as long as it’s good. We have a local Hispanic family that runs our favorite restaurant (our kids grew up together) and their food gets criticized as not authentic all the time.

Doggedly, lol at the heat vs non heat versions. I guess we all have different tastebuds depending on what we are accustomed to. One dd would only lick butter pats at “fancier” restaurants but will always eat a plate of refried beans and rice.

I dusted, vacuumed, took down some pics, hung 2 wall baskets in kitchen (one for potatoes, one for onions), hung a vintage hurricane tracking chart in the living room to go with the map theme, stripped my bed and am washing the sheets. I can’t find my blankets and I know I have several that we get at the yearly pow wow. They’re light enough for now but will work for fall too. Where did they go? 🤔

Next is unload the dw and cook. Dh worked all day and is push mowing the turkey yard in this heat. He’s going to be starving and dehydrated when he comes in. What can I serve to drink…
