Good morning gals & guys too.
Got the shelf down stairs that I painted blue yesterday.
Turned the fan on for a bit.
Did 2 of the journals on the deck.
The smoke and pollen drove me back inside.

My thoughts was to play in the sprinkler but I did not!
It was 64* this morning and too cold.

I need to work on the table some more.
I did get the books and journals for the most part out of the living room or put away that I"ve been using daily.
Another pr. of pj's to cut off.
Adjust sewing machine tension needed.

Veg. & fruit stand is OMM.

I called a local book buyer/seller. I am giving them 2 first editions and they are looking through their stock for 4 books I am looking for. I have put all the rest of the books into 3 reusable shopping bags so they are ready to go into my car on Monday. My library already looks better!

Good morning

Cathy- Thank you for the start and such interesting information. I did a deep dive into black and blue moons.

I am enjoying a quiet & calm home this morning. DH is in the shop. DD14 is at DD49 home. DS17 is working and having a blast. It makes me smile to watch him learn and be excited about what he is doing.

I inventoried our ready-to-eat food and we have plenty. I won't be cooking today.

So much to CUOP (catch up on posts, Lauralind) this morning! Of course, it's 11:30 here.

I slept in until 8:30ish, I'm sleeping poorly again from achy hips on both sides. I've done a few things now - walked ddog two laps, started laundry, started challah, beginning to straighten up for the day.

Well, just found that bread maker was not working....the thing on the bottom that rotates and mixes it wasn't seated so it wasn't mixing. The mechanism on the bottom of the mixing bowl is loose....I'm running a test for a few minutes with it empty to see if it spins itself out or will stay, now that I've regrouped.

I need to measure ingredients and restart challah and see if it will go. Dh has been after me to make some, and I'm supposed to make two batches two, four (or more) loaves. And then clean up kitchen, had spill of dough wet ingredients when I had to pull bowl out earlier. And monitor breadmaker.

It's :11 before the hour, setting a timer to go to 12:30 on clean up here....

I have walked but the fruit & veg. stand was not open they might have sold out yesterday.
Saw goat on our walk there today it was different.
Tried to put a board back on the shed it was not a super successful attempt.
Had my cran. juice.
Watered in front; more in back now.
Reading a bit will do more in my journals.
Luv having quiche with broccoli in it in the house now!
Got a few mini cans of pork & beans I'll rinse and add to soups in the fall when it's cooler.
No cooking here either LM.

almost 11 am
played a long time with the dogs -
cleaned out the fountain - it really needed it and took a long time.
cleaned out one bird bath
clipped pots in yard - my tall verbena B. dried out during the heat wave - even with watering!
the helper has mom outside and I get the feeling that she wants to be on her own with mom. I decided to come in for a bit. When they come in then I will play with dogs again before it gets hot again.

still need to pick up dog stuff.

I keep a variety of protein, carbs and vegetables already cooked and ready to eat. We eat whenever we are hungry instead of preparing a meal for everyone to sit down at the table together at a set time. I wish we could return to that way of eating but I don't see that happening.
Today our ready-to-eat foods include
Protein = BBQ pulled pork, chicken burgers, Hamburger patties with cheese, Shrimp
Carbs - Zairians rice, mashed potatoes, potato salad, mac and cheese
There are always staples on hand—yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, various types of bread, and a well-stocked freezer and pantry for anyone who feels like cooking.

I just came in from the garden and brought in my arms loaded with okra, onion, garlic, peppers and tomatoes that I will be sautéing for my first meal of the day. I will add a couple eggs to it. The family won't touch the meals that I prefer like this dish.
