Twins, I love being at home, so today's title resonates with me.

Nancy , WTG getting steps in before the rain. We have rain here today as well.

Lady M, I hope you can find some planning time today.

Cathy, I rinse my mop after I've used it, but to get it "really" clean, I throw it in the washing machine with my cleaning cloths on a hot wash, and also some Calgon, which hopefully cleans and decloggs the machine.

Blessed, I hope the nice helper returns to you DMum soon!

This morning was church, followed by coffee with my DF E 99 (she will be 100 in January!) who was in very good form today. Then home to cook lunch. I've folded laundry and PA, and I'm now relaxing on the sofa with a cat on my lap (first Freddie, now Matilda).

Noon meal happened.
This morning got some notes in my planner so happy for the time to make this happen yea!
List made in the back of my bujo of books I've read this year too that;s been on my mind.
Thawing out food to cook up for later to have on hand dough for a pizza or mini ones & meat.
Crockpot for some of it the chicken thighs. So glad it's cool enough to cook.

After DD14 finished baking in the kitchen, I spent an hour there and ended up preparing two dishes. Both are simple to make and family favorites. Each has a card that pops up every 14 days to remind me to cook them: spaghetti with meat sauce and Zatarain's Bourbon chicken and rice.

I’ve been planting something in the garden every day. I think some of my seeds might be old and won’t sprout well. I’m marking each mini row with the date planted so I can track which seeds are good and which ones need to be composted. I’ve also ordered some new seeds that should arrive tomorrow.

I feel torn between getting things done and taking the time to plan. I'm trying to focus on the priorities that can't wait. The most important thing is to take better care of myself mentally and physically; otherwise, nothing else gets accomplished.

LM thanks for saying that about the seeds a lot of mine did not come up could be why.
WTG on the dd14's cooking.
I have 2 brownie mix boxes might do one of them today great reminder on the cards!

Made the one box of brownie mix and froze all but two of them that I ate.
Made up a pizza froze all but two slices that I ate.
Chicken thighs are cooling as is the soup did not have any of that.
I'll freeze up a batch of that and do up packages of chicken.

I've had a good afternoon upstairs. I put some stamps/dies/punches online to try to sell. I think there's a glut of stampin up products being sold right now. I'll start donating if these don't sell.

Walked the dog with dh already - pump at pool is still running. One of neighbors was there with his son and commented on it being so loud and running continuously - yet he didn't let anyone know. Anyway, I texted the pool chair person and the "grounds" person who is handy. Might try to find a kill switch to at least turn it off until pool company can come. I commented to dh that I might advocate for closing the pool early this year - it's expensive to keep up for the amount of use it gets in October. Perhaps if this is a major repair I'll suggest it.

I've been down a genealogy rabbit hole - a several times over great grandfather...I cleaned up the records on FamilySearch universal tree and now I'm hooked. (Mixing my metaphors there....) His (third) wife, not the mother of my ancestor, is a DAR patriot because she furnished supplies.

Starting list for tomorrow. I have my workout (Ugh! but I'll be back) and need to get groceries. Also did some prioritizing of my list...with Rosh Hashanah dinner on Wednesday, I'll have Monday-Tuesday for cooking (challah, dessert for temple, gelfilte fish) but need to do most of additional cleaning this week. Dh is going to say "Let Teresa do it" (cleaning lady) but there's too much for one person, and it's not fair to ask her to do some of those things when she comes for every other week cleaning.

The helia household also on my mind today.

I thought of the chat on mopping today, since the only housekeeping chore for me today has been sweeping and mopping of the hallway (main part in front of master bath entrance and all three "bedrooms" although all are not still used for architect's idea of needs). This was wood floor mopping, but it is the Bono type wood floor cloths I use, and Bono spray when necessary. So basically Swiffer. I know there is disposable throw-away that seems a bit wasteful when I use regular Swiffer on regular floors like a bathroom, but when I've finished it's gone, and I find that disappearance of bathroom grime especially valuable. Although - a scientist might well make a case that kitchen grime is just as problematic. I console myself, also, that the fragrance lingers in a bathroom trash can keeping the atmosphere pleasant. Maybe that's worth a nickel, anyway.

Ds reports that our green-eyed boy was fine yesterday after an antihistamine OTC and a shower. Ds ponders whether he is allergic to cat dander, but he's been hanging out close to Tobias since he was a little kid, so I think it was either the oak or some organic dust hanging out on the oak leaves. My granddog at their house is hypoallergenic, so no help in figuring out animal allergy.

After supper I loaded the dishwasher and then I went and laid on the bed and finished yet another book. Now I have to pick my next book.

Thinking of Helia tonight. Also wondering how LucyLee is doing. I expect to see a post from her when I get on the computer tomorrow morning.

I DO have another mop head, but I just feel like I should be able to get this mop head clean. I should make a note to check it much more frequently than I have been.

We have a busy week coming up here for dh and I. Dh has 2 appointments this week. As I mentioned elsewhere, we will talk to dh's regular doctor about the progression of the Parkinson's on Tuesday. Dh has an eye appointment on Thursday.

Time to hunt down my next book. See y'all in the morning.

Looking at the coming week,
Tomorrow is an appt for HRH at 10:45, not too far away but certainly chopping the day in half.
Then on Tuesday holding down the fort again at ddolder's house.
A couple days respite and then for the long haul on Friday, 3 appts for me far away and not very convenient time-wise.

More declutter done today.
We've heard nothing about the dishwasher installation. Just staring at a nude cabinetry area and trying to get used to new placement for utensils and implements.

Seeds - it helps some to be stored in the fridge but doesn't always work. One big success I once had was daylily seed harvested from my grandmother's yard. I stored those in the fridge overwintering and they had really good germination, better than should have been expected according to everything I'd read.
