Mysteries are about the only thing I watch unless I catch some history show of dh’s. Some updates on Chernobyl are fascinating, how the animals have survived and seem to be thriving. Maybe you can help if I’m misinformed there as I’m not sure how old the tv show was we watched.
Hugs to moms all over, and women taking care of moms. I still haven’t sorted out mom’s house and the girls use it for storage, so you can imagine what it looks like. Mom was so organized and almost sterile in decor. She’s probably rolling her eyes now. It will get better. There are lots of people online that go live with family members with dementia now, if in need of ideas or just knowing that others are dealing with the same issue. I fear dh is getting it, early onset, he already has Parkinson’s from his father’s side. He’s getting a double whammy from both parents. I totally blanked and forgot to discuss with the doctor yesterday but he has follow-ups every few months so will bring it up in January. I saw an ad saying there are meds for dementia now so maybe we can slow it way down. He’s going to get grumpy just like his mom did. I can already tell. He got upset that his a1c was over 10 and acts like he doesn’t know how that happened. It was 8 last time. :/
We can both do a lot better so I need to work on that. Make menus. Shop mindfully.
I just came to post a list and get moving lol. Dh went to Hollywood to bush hog and visit his sister. I felt a headache coming on and with this heat I didn’t want to make it worse so stayed home. Yesterday was Dr visit, longhorn for lunch, Sam’s, place Walmart order, pu (for planner if I ever get back to it).
In other news, dd1 has left her fiance, caught him cheating with multiple women. He’s a firefighter taking an ems course and apparently has been with at least 4 women in the class. Then tried to turn it on dd saying she was with one of the women’s husband…yep he’s with married women too. Of course dd works full time on the other side of town and hasn’t even met anyone in his class so his accusations are ridiculous. Anything to assuage guilt. I’m sorry she got hurt but not upset that they aren’t together. Dd2 is in need of a roommate so she moved in with her and d2s best friend who are renting a house off campus at university of Alabama. It’s a much bigger city and she might be able to use her degree (music therapy) while she continues her education in occupational therapy. Prayers for us all appreciated. So much going on.
