Verge and ridge tiles on garage roof
Sort out cabinet that wobbles - does the back need some sort of bracing ?

Book eye test for me
Find picture hanging equipment for DH πŸ˜€
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024

Gma, I'm so sorry to hear that things aren't working out at the NH. ((HUGS)) I'm surprised you aren't "allowed" to offer food and drink - and that they won't feed her if she won't feed herself. That was the MO at the nursing home my mom was at.
I hope you have a good day at payroll, FFB. Not being bored is good, I think.
WTG with the good dental appointment, Kitty. So nice you can sit in the garden and enjoy the fruit of your labor.
trissie, I do hope DBD fully recuperates soon. Have a good day WFH! - I really enjoy Shakespeare! And that sounds like a really interesting read.

It is gray and damp today, and our summer weather is finally gone. :( Highs are forecast to be in the 60s, 70s over the weekend. And we should have sunshine again tomorrow.

I didn't get back here yesterday. The payroll meeting went until almost 2 pm. I stopped by the NH to pick up the quilt for my mom and got home about 2:40. I then had lunch -- and sat down and finished the jigsaw puzzle I was working on. Well, glad that's out of my system -- except for moving chunks around and finishing with the final "mystery" part. This is the type of puzzle I find addicting: https://magicpuzzlecompany.com/ I just completed Big Rock City - minus the mystery section.

Today: This morning, I'm getting together with S2, K, and J. This afternoon, I need to get groceries, jog, pay bills, make progress on laundry, and perhaps work on payroll. And other tasks too. Dinner tonight will be chicken curry with lots of veggies.

M left this morning to travel home (Florida) to visit her parents for 9 days.

Next:
- payroll: final read through of reading exams
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down bathroom

Later:
- finish reclaiming the kitchen
- 10 - 12ish S2KJ get together
- progress on knitting while chatting
- home; lunch
- some qt
- groc. list and menu plan
- Kroger
- put groceries away
- towels: fold and p/a
- clean sheets on bed?
- dress to jog

- email trustee re: 2 pieces of mail for the trust
- dinner: chicken curry, rice, roasted veggie - TBD
- after dinner clean up
- garbage and recycling to the curb
- duolingo
- update health apps

trissie, I don't have the time for puzzles either. I'm going to pay for it and get further behind in everything. :? WTG working on keeping workers accountable for finishing their tasks, though! Hopefully, it's seen as helpful to the company.

I think there tends to be a lot of romanticizing what the past was like, Trissie. Which seems to translate in some people’s minds about going back to more traditional gender roles.
I am sorry you are having difficulty with the nursing home , GMA. I hope you can get things sorted quickly to care that you think is appropriate. My Mom spent 5 years refusing to participate in the activities at the nursing home because she felt they were beneath her. It wasn’t her best decision but she was adamant.

I love jigsaw puzzles helian but they are super addictive! Hi kittykatt, we have lovely weather today as well.

L.Ann, I think that those who romantisize past would not last a week in it!
helia, the board does appreciate me being... a bit pressy. The people I like to work with, they appreciate reminders. The rest... they already don't like me :-)

Hello, all. My rest day is over, and I'm happy to say that I am back to normal, so I am ready to start on the chaos. I keep wanting to start the laundry, but have to remind myself that there is no floor space to set up the drying racks. Unpacking must come first. Though I could do hand washing with the gadget, as I have cleared off the top of the bin that the gadget is stored in so I can actually get at it now.

Thank you for starting us off, trissie. You remind me how long it's been since I watched the play, and how little I remember about it. Shakespeare proposed what today we would see as gaslighting, as a better solution than torture and humiliating devices like the scold's bridle and ducking stool. I guess he framed it as a play within a joke play so that if he was attacked for suggesting that we shouldn't actually torture women for talking back, he could say that it was just a joke meant to confuse the drunkard.

(((Gma and dmother))) This is such a difficult situation.

Woohoo for the good dental appointment, Kittykatt. Enjoy your garden time. We have a wet, rainy day today, which is good news for the trees to drink up before winter.

FrenchFly

I'm sure that spending some downtime with the puzzle did you some good, helia, though I understand the increased pressure now.

It's not fun to watch people create their own problems, L.Ann, but sometimes all that we can do is to stand back and accept that is their choice. Still frustrating, though.

Time to spring from this chair and see what I can get done.

Tuesday
Cleaned up after dog
Treats for Germane
Sorted dirty laundry
