Dogged, keeping small places with limited storage clean and tidy is difficult! We have very limited storage in this house and it's an every day struggle too.
L.Ann, sometimes we need to switch to doable stuff to gather energy for the undoable stuff!
Bama, we can cheer each other up! My struggle currently is the office and master bedroom too! But DH let me declutter a couple of his old DVDs yesterday (he has a box of pirated DVDs from his college year - nobody has touched it in years and none of it would work on any of our computers and we only have one machine - out of the 6 or so computers in house - that even has DVD slot, and he doesn't even play any games anymore!), so I consider it a start
Paige, I hope there will not be a self-fulfilling prophecy with Winter's Tale - not ready for winter yet!

What I am not ready for is another crazy night. DS came at 5:58 with "oh mom, we do have a scout session after all, starting at 6!" and there went my plans! Drove him there, dinner was late (actually just in time for when DS and DH home at 7:45) and everything is off again. That's just my life!

I have found my people!
I do love the “no shaming” here. All are welcome.

I searched and found Hudson and Rex so set it to record. Then checked and that channel isn’t included in our package. Bummer. I love mysteries with a little humor. Right now we are watching a home improvement show, Castle Impossible, a woman inherits a castle in France from her grandfather and is fixing it up room by room. I guess next will be “only murders in the building”.

Dogged, I commend you on your laundry achievements. Finding ways to dry things with limited options is a challenge.
Paige, I don’t do much when dh is around either. It’s twice as hard and twice as long for some reason. I’m with ya on the kitchen mishaps. A bag of boiled peanuts leaked all over a shelf, dh knocked a package of blueberries out of the fridge and all over the floor, a bottle of bbq sauce burped all over me just this past week.

On a whim I called dd1 and ended up chatting for over an hour. To shorten a lengthy phone call, dd2 graduates in May and both girls may come home then to live for awhile. I’m ecstatic. Dmom left her trailer to them so they can live right next door. I get the perks of having them home but also my home to myself. I love it! Of course they are welcome here as well and I have told them that. I am very proud of their independence and determination. They are much more outgoing and inspiring than me. Dd1 had her heart broken a month or so ago, her fiance was cheating on her, she moved in w dd2 and things are going well.

Made lemon water, something has been helping with swollen fingers and I think it’s this, been drinking it off and on for about a week

Turns out Hudson and Rex did tape so we watched one episode. The one where Rex gets locked in a railway container and someone else has to let him out while Hudson stands around. Some friend hmph.

Fly-by
Saying that mother is responding to rehydration is not saying that she is amazingly well. She was unable to tolerate being out of bed for 20 minutes.
What I can say is that hospice has been amazingly helpful, and is offering so much mroe help than I ever could have imagined. And when she realized that she was coming home, she used the word "ecstatic." She is so grateful, so happy to have all her children together. My niece is coming on Sunday from 500 miles away.
I've got a few minutes at my house, a few things to gather, then go back to Mom's house.
My siblings and I are all working together so well. No one is arguing about anything, except for telling me that I should stop for a bit and eat
I've go to help mother sign my dsis birthday card for Sunday.
Called the college food service: They will make breakfast egg bake with ham, cheese, potatoes, and a fruit plate for Sunday brunch - her birthday- and chicken alfredo lasagna for birthday supper, plus salad. They are delighted to be of help! Another friend who really isn't able to do much but wants to be helpful, will come to visit, and will order some cinnamon rolls and caramel rolls, also from the college. I have to bake the birthday cake, as the cake baker has a few days off and I didn't make that order with any timeliness. That's OK, we have a family birthday cake recipe. But I will have to clean up my kitchen a bit -
and am heading there now to load the dw.
