I think I slept a bit. All 3 cats are now inside.

Dh 's appt. was good. Average daily sugar is down. His appetite is down but he has gained 12 pounds in the last 2 months. Doctor wants him to go for a walk between waking up and first meal. I think that's a very good idea and I will join him if/when he starts. Actually I think I will start doing that tomorrow.

We will be having noodles with veggies tonight.

Early morning walk before sunrise done
Went to the gym and then to WM groceries. Came home and everything is on my counter. Frozen foods in my cold bag. Need to clean out and organize both my freezer and fridge. But before that walked Coco again and drank my second cup of coffee. Made breakfast for Sweeti and now I need to make lunch for me!

Another bull story… when I was living on the farm, my uncle had a little black Angus calf that was just born. He was cute as can be with big eye winker, and just a beauty. But from the day he spotted me he chased me no matter where I was.

The bigger he got the more he chased me. One day my aunt called me early in the morning to go out into the pasture to check to see if the cow had had her calf. As I crossed the fence and started towards where I thought the cow was off in the distance stood The Angus bull. He was now about 18 months, but still very big. As soon as he saw me here he came. I quickly jumped over the Bobwire fence and made it safely to the other side.

When I called my aunt and uncle to explain why I couldn’t find the calf, and told my uncle about the bull, he said I’ll be right there. He drove up in his truck and said Girl…that’s what he always called me …get in the truck. We’re going to the pasture. When we got there, he said to me get out of the truck and stand out in the grass. I didn’t wanna go cause I knew that bull was coming. My uncle just laughed and said trust me. Sure enough as soon as that bull saw me he started to charge towards me. My uncle was waiting on the sidelines and as soon as that bull got close enough to me, my uncle took a 2 x 4 and wacked
him on the head, knocking him down and over. I thought my uncle had killed him, but he hadn’t. My uncle just looked at me and laughed and said… He ain’t never gonna bother you no more. And that bull never did.

oh my goodness about your uncles calf - amazing that your uncle just needed to give a little "act right" to have him behave. so glad the Angus bull stopped chasing you.

Next: work on bathrooms
hoping dh will let me work on his bathroom.

chose a different path: Christmas job. working on one cabinet of canned goods. I thought that I did this last year but I found quite a few cans that need to be tossed from 2024 - I need to do this at least twice a year. I am finding it very very boring but I know I will feel better once it is done.

I've been to see my doctor. She asked what meds they gave me and when did they call to let you know you have a bladder infection?

Decluttered items have been put near the road with a FREE sign. Hopefully someone will give them a new home. If they aren't taken, then they will go to the city dumpster later this week.

I reached out to the wildlife removal guy to help manage the gopher, mole, and vole population around my garden, and he responded positively. As long as they stay on the other side of the fence in the pasture, they’re welcome to live their best life. But since they seem intent on invading my garden, they've crossed the line, and it’s time for them to go.

The kitchen activities have led to a couple more dishes being prepared, with one added to the ready-to-eat stash. The brisket is sliced and ready to enjoy. The cornbread was freshly made but was devoured almost instantly while still hot and slathered with butter.

The wildlife removal guy and his wife came by and set up gopher traps. They'll be back tomorrow with four types of mole traps. They mentioned that gophers are easy to remove, but they don't have much success with moles.
