Good morning. I have slept a reasonable amount, at my house.
My niece left yesterday morning. everyone else is still here.
Including Mother. She is very much hanging on - way more than I would have expected. I wonder if she continues to be so happy to be home that she is relishing it? Or her constitution is so strong. She sleeps very much, but responds when someone enters the room and talks to her. She cannot swallow. We are administering morphine for pain when needed, but at low dose. It is a very small volume of liquid, that absorbs through the mucous membrand in the mouth/ cheek. She appears very comfortable. Friends have been supportive.

Hello, all. I woke up in a very contrary mood, and should have fed it toast and coffee right away instead of reddit. Still, the day is young, I don't have to get in a line to try to sign up with the new doctor that was reported as accepting new patients in reddit as they are already full. I would have had to go yesterday to apply, and considering how quickly they filled up I can guess what a zoo that was. So my day is still mine to do with what I wanted to do anyway, which is to clean and tidy in the apartment. And to take Germane for our short little walk.

Fun times at the Kittykatt household, around the work getting done. The supper at the church sounds fun, and I'm sure that your dh is looking forward to his day on the trains.

It really was a good concert, helia. I didn't get much of a music education in school, so at the beginning of the concert I was wondering whether they were singing into those things like a kazoo, or if the they just blew and the instrument made all of the noises. Well, one of the talks was about how the sound works. The musician got us making the basic raspberry sound with our mouths, then he added the piece they put against their lips to show that the sound changes a little. Then he attached a plastic hose, which changed the sound again, and finally added the cup which changed the sound to very close to the French horn. Then he wound it around his neck to show what blowing into it to make the hunting sounds while holding the reins of the horse with the other hound, and it looked and worked a lot like the hunting horns that the Germans were using before the French added the buttons to make it more musical.
For the tech, yes, I've been working on computers and then supporting them since the early 1980's. But it doesn't take long to fall behind. I have not looked into AI at all, and am not really sure how to start but I think it would be worth looking into.
I think that the race organizers are making excellent use of tech: where it enhances the experience but doesn't interfere. As in, the runners don't have to change how they run or change their goals to fit into it.

Good morning, L.Ann.

I'm with you, trissie. Dystopia is never my favourite, and I really don't want to watch when I'm concerned about its becoming reality.
(((hugs to you))) It sounds like it was a hard week at work, and you are always working at full speed at home. Here's hoping for a pleasant and productive weekend for you.

(((Gma))) You are doing everything possible, and your dmother appears comfortable.

Hello everyone!

Trissie, I just made a simple.coffee traybake with a coffee buttercream topping for my contribution to the being and shared supper

I hope you have a nice time with your DF, Helia!

Enjoy the pumpkins at the library, L.Ann!

(((Gma))) Now we all know where you get your strength from!

Dogged, the concert sounds very educational as well as enjoyable.

Hi, Peaches!

I'm in bed after a good day. I got lots done in my back garden so it's nearly ready for winter.now. I need to work in the front, but it's still looking good so I'm reluctant to start pulling things out. Maybe I'll see it differently tomorrow? The harvest bring and saber supper was a great success. The tables were all decorated in a harvest theme, and the food all worked out perfectly.

Funny aside, on the way out, DH was complaining that he has to get up early tomorrow (he's volunteering for the day I. The steam railway). So I just replied it was his choice and that he wanted to do it. Ive heard no more on that topic.

Great job on putting dh's woes into context, Kittykatt. I'm glad that your day went well. That cake sounds delicious.
Have a good night!

Germane has had her walk and treat, and is sleeping off the excitement in the bathroom.
