I'm in for tackling Tuesday! I have body work this a.m. then the rest of the day free. Dh is out tonight for bowling. I've already walked dog and took out garbage to street, both in the rain. Dh worked out at 7 but was having breakfast after with dfriend V's ds who is in town this week. I knew I couldn't wait on him to get garbage out. We're supposed to have rain most the day so it would be a good day to stay home.

And I forgot to post this earlier...I'm now home, eating omelet with spinach and a bit of cheese, and fruit with ricotta.

I just let dh know that I'm heading upstairs for the afternoon....rainy day here, don't have to go anywhere either.

Dh has had his usual boring haircut. We went to the landfill while he still had his shoes and coat on. We didn't even look in the shed. ~sigh~ I guess it will have to wait until March or April.

When we got home I put my car in the garage as there is a huge storm expected on Thursday. Dh moved the riding snowblower when we got home so it is now in the garage facing out to the driveway. I don't know how he did this, but he tried to get off the seat going in the opposite direction from usual. He has gotten on and off that machine hundreds of times in the past 10 years. This time he got "stuck". Thankfully I was standing right there.

Trash has been picked up & I've refilled it mostly again with leaves leaving room for the house trash.
Got a basket out for a gift I'd stashed it in the shed.
Had my lunch.

Worked on another one of the hard bound planners.
Just one more to go I think.
I will need to get up and look around a bit for the stuff to put in it and sort.
On a rest break at the moment.
It's chilly outside here still.
-----
Looked over the last planner and low & behold it's notes I can used for a writing project
I've resurrected from the depths of my brain. Gotta luv that. LOL!
This will make it easier.
-----
Napped a bit.
Then ddoggo nuzzled me & we walked just
in time storm heading our way.
Raked more leaves from the winds that got leaves off another smaller
tree in the back yard. Almost have my steps in for today yea!

Got an alert from ddoggo had dinner early bs was a bit kiw,

quick hi - just came back from hallmark store - I ran out of paper, shirt boxes and tape. I also got a sympathy card and get well card.
went to the bank for Friday.

waving to you all.

mom is struggling to fall asleep even though she is tired.
she was very chatty today!

next: wrap the last bit of presents. (until the rest of the presents come in) :D - done! put away the extra paper etc. for the next grouping of presents.
I will have to wake mom soon. I am tired! sweet helper is sound asleep on the couch while mom sleeps.

what still needs doing - dinner for mom.
put away veggies for salads in the fridge downstairs.

what needs doing:
sweep the kitchen and front hall
tomorrow bird seed
tomorrow pick up (maybe) rental van ???? one hour away
take presents downstairs
tomorrow shower and get cloths for mom and I together (pull-ups and wipes)
LAUNDRY
did not do bathrooms today
tomorrow prep 7 layer salad (I thought I would try it for family again - we used to make it in the 70s/80s)
mom's Alsatian carrot salad
regular salad

moving
decorate moms tree
hang garland on stair rail
hang garlands over window
bring up the rest of the christmas decorations
put thanksgiving away

Just a CI while we're all making our tackles ;)

Addressed, stamped and returned addressed envelopes until I got to the stopping place of the ones whose addresses are not 100 percent certain.

Took a break and had a bite to eat.

Now I'll try to make sure of the addresses before I go further.

Spent a while believing that ingredients for pie baking hadn't arrived. It dawned on me that the fellow delivering seemed to be having trouble in the yard, determined (as many men are) that he could make just one trip. Went outside and lo and behold, a small bag had gotten away from him and there it lay in the grass.

I think we've had rain most the day. I can hear it coming down more since I'm upstairs. I've stamped a bit, played with genealogy a bit.

Dh said the roomba downstairs was driving him crazy. I would have run it yesterday while he was out bowling except that he left shoes that he's purging on the closet floor, and I decided not to mess with them. Earlier today I left a note for him when I went to my massage that the dog was walked and fed, and I asked him to get the shoes up so I could run the roomba, and then he didn't get home until after I came back. I only knew he was working out this a.m. and having breakfast with someone.

An aggravation - but he called me after he got to bowling to "remind" me that we're having breakfast with ds and Z, his best friend from D.C., tomorrow at 9 a.m. We discussed it a long time ago but he didn't put it on the calendar so I was looking forward to sleeping in, since I've needed to be somewhere the last two mornings. I'll also be making challah at some point tomorrow, to take on Thursday.

I don't have much enthusiasm about stamping for some reason. I'm going to try for another card, sometimes it takes me awhile to get into it...

I have done NOTHING today, except get groceries. And dgs brought them into the house for me. (I did put them away.)
I must be in denial about Thursday.
Tomorrow is another day.

I have enjoyed a day without any appointments or teenagers. DD14 stayed with DD49, DS17 has been at work all day and the GF went to Texas to see her grandparents. We are discovering what a quiet home sounds like and the strange experience of food not disappearing.

DS51 has called twice today to chat with DH.

It has been a wonderful day that felt like a break.
