mom's temp helper is very nice - young enough to help.
my fireplace wood is burning quickly - it is taking a bit of the cold out of the house.

I love coming to our SHE village and reading the wide assortment of topics.

Homeschool is finished for the day with zero drama.

doings in the kitchen =
** Pancakes made for DH
** 9 breakfast cupcakes
** double batch of mac & cheese
** Chicken breast tenderloins cooked in butter/BBQ sauce that caramelized.

I am paralyzed with proceeding on house insurance decision. I don't want to make a mistake so i am procrastinating AS IF THAT IS HELPFUL. NOT!

the chaos keeps coming in lol
I just got the groceries and they are laying all over our kitchen

bringing my magic wand out -
groceries emptied - sparkly spark spark*
now to put away done

I asked dd younger to help me prep some food for the freezer (tomorrow)

the guys are outside - it is 19 degrees right now - brrr - I did get them coffee and donut holes
they are pouring the cement footings!
we had to loose our peach tree bc the machines had to go over it so that they didn't have to take down our temporary fence for the dogs.

next clean kitchen counters - check fireplace if it needs more wood - clean stove top - sweep kitchen floor - fold laundry - put away mom's laundry

Decided earlier that we were having cabbage roll casserole. It's currently cooking on the stove. Dh had a glass of tomato juice and the rest went into the casserole.

Did some writing got some info. on 4" x 6" note cards.
We've walked a mile.
Had lunch after.
Got the can back from the road.
Looked for bruises after my s2s found some.
Today thankful for my "padding"!

1 can of tomato juice
1 package of ground beef, cooked
1 onion, chopped
1 cup of uncooked rice, not Minute rice
i head of cabbage, chopped into bit sized pieces
Garlic and black pepper if you want them. NO salt.

Cook the onions with the meat. Throw everything else in and cover it. Stir occasionally.

Serve with sour cream.

There are numerous other recipes online. I like fast and easy.

Two hours later.....home insurance new policy is in place, and the old policy is cancelled. ***Big sigh of relief***

I'm going to take a 45 minute break before getting DD14 from school

It's cold. The temp is 39 but "feels like" 33, and apparently there are snow flurries on the mountain where we used to live. You know how excited all we southerns get about snowflakes. There's probably a run on the grocery stores as we speak.

Dh has gone out to run and errand (pick up a bowling ball). I need to walk ddog myself I guess. I was hoping he would walk her this afternoon...
