I'm at payroll but done with my class. I forgot I needed to do my annual self-assessment, so I took about an hour and did that. Dh made 5:30 dinner reservations at a new Vietnamese restaurant on campus we've been wanting to try. I'm just staying here until time for dinner, and then I'll walk over and meet him. We might go to the Kindlefest market together after dinner. The yarn store is near the market, so I hope to stop by and get more yarn as well.

trissie, glad you know it will pass soon, but it's not fun while you're in it.
kitkat - so nice to see you again! How is your dog? The grands?
That's a lot of miles to drive, Gma.
I hope the financial appointment is helpful and encouraging, L Ann.

I'm going to work here for 15 more minutes and then head out to the restaurant.

Next:
- payroll: update gradelink
- walk to restaurant; dinner with dh
- go walk around kindlefest?

Later:
- make the bed
- towel laundry w d f pa
- clean towels in bathrooms
- call optometrist
- Memorial thank you progress
- payroll: update gradelink week 2
- payroll: start on exam prep?
- walk or go to the gym
- dinner out with dh
- duolingo
- update health apps
- anything else from brain dump list

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - same

Hello, everyone!

I hope the appt with the financial advisor is helpful, L.Ann. That is a *very* good way to deal with outside decorations.

What are you planning to knit next, Helia?

Good to "see" you again, Kit kat. How is DDog?

Yay for a successful day at payroll, Trissie!

I hope you had a lovely time over Thanksgiving, Gma! The only thing I really have to report is that our church's parish Christmas lunch took place yesterday and was a success.

Hi, Peaches!
Y .ai. Achievement this afternoon was to cut Fred's nails on his front paws (especially his dew claws) without incident :D - just one nip which didn't break the skin- and no growling,.hissing, swearing or "proper" biting . Ive folded laundry and PA, and done two wool washes. Everyone has been fed, and DH has been to choir practice.

The financial appointment was just a look at investments…. My granddaughter is 4 and a half KitKat! She is in a nice church 4 year old program and will go to the public kindergarten next year. They put DD32 on a new med which means she has neutrophils but it is a constant monitoring of the new med side effects. I had a hysterectomy at the beginning of November for endometrial cancer. Surgery went well and the lymph nodes were clear. Due to how close the mass was to the back wall of the uterus they are recommending 3 radiation treatments over a 2 week period and then checkups every 6 months. I think that’s a quick summary of us this fall.

1-kitchen clean up
2-FACE
3-quick house pick up and vacuuming

Menus
Saturday-sheet pan Mexican shrimp tacos
Sunday-left over chicken curry
Monday-left over enchiladas
Tuesday-chicken burrito bowls
Wednesday-left overs/DD32 out
Thursday-pesto chicken salad wraps
Friday-out on way home
Saturday-Little Bit spending the night, Hospice open house with Clydesdales, tuba Christmas??????
Sunday-eat out at party

Events

Tuesday-Little Bit 7:40-5, Little Bit to school 9:15-3
Wednesday-Little Bit 7:40-5, Little Bit to school 9:15-3
Thursday-Little Bit 7:40-5, Little Bit to school 9:15-3
Friday-Little Bit 7:40-9:15, Hopkins
Saturday-Little Bit spending the night, Hospice open house with Clydesdales, tuba Christmas??????

Hello! I have been out doing errands. It is a cold day today, but clear. It definitely feels like winter. Wind chills are around -20 C, with the actual temperature around -10 C.

Friday
Found a reasonably priced Christmas concert in my area and signed up for it
Spiffed self
Laid new pee pads in dog pen
Settled dog in pen with treats and probiotic
Left
Realized that I forgot the library book that I am returning
Came back in to little dog howling in rage mid-poop because I had left and she wasn’t going to get her treat
Cleaned up after her
Gave her a new treat
Left again
Went to Canadian Tire. Picked up my order.
Checked out the glass containers. They had no floor models to check out, so didn’t bother with them as I couldn’t check if the lids would hold, were hard to get on, etc.
Forgot that Canadian Tire had boot trays on for sale for $3
Went to grocery store. They did not have the beef on sale. Bought fish, coffee, and a few other groceries. Forgot that they have Boursin on sale.
Went to bank and deposited OAS cheque
Went to library and returned book. Librarian checked if I had returned the other Tintin DVDs: no
Bought a few donated DVDs and CDs from library
Brought all shopping up
Released dog
Cleaned up after dog
Put away the cold groceries

DB just called. Time for phone visit.

I had a really good phone visit with my db. Things are going well with his new dcat, but I was alarmed to hear that the shelter had released him before completing deworming or administering vaccinations. My db is taking care of that.
He is one of the most interesting people that I have ever met. He is really into science, so he can often figure out what is happening. I told him that my sauce for the lasagna turned out weird. It's usually so reliable. It's not bad on its own, but not as good as usual, and it's kind of weird on the lasagna. My db asked what I had put in it. I told him my usual tomato sauce that I like so much, onion, savoy cabbage, paprika and a bit of Italian seasoning. He said "Well, onions get sweeter as they cook, cabbage ferments and a slow cooker would not get hot enough to stop the fermentation. Ketchup is basically tomato sauce, sugar and vinegar. You made ketchup. I'm not surprised that it tastes weird on lasagna."
