It's almost end of the day for me but figure skating requires a comment. I spent many hours at the rink while dd did figure skating from about 4 or 5 till 13 ?? She made it almost to the top level.

Doggedly that is really interesting about your ketchup flavor lasagna. Hmmm interesting. I've never heard of cabbage in it. Might be good if you cooked it on stove top .

Gma I read your post. That's a lot of traveling. And alot of thank you cards. I'm glad you got to go places now.

I've been tired and a bit sore. Goodness my hips must have gotten a major adjustment the other day. They complained about stairs at work.

I'll try for light duty tomorrow. We're doing a new thing. Anyone heard of a nesting party? Instead of baby shower for a couple in church. It's their second baby now due at new years or so. So we're all bringing supplies for batch freezer cooking and cleaning and project stuff before baby comes. Should be interesting. I can prep cook or light cleaning. I push myself hard at work.

Between that and I want to come home and put the tree up and a bit more decorating plus the kids are coming Sunday. So a little prep for that.

Update for gma. -- things are moving along ok with care for mom. Dad seems happy with housekeeping and that should help now we've got her set for once a week. Mom goes to day program 3 days a week and enjoys it I think. Dad's getting some rest and odds and ends. Still some hard days and I think he would be physically ready for her to go to full time nursing home. Probably a lot of wait time yet. But getting there.

Anyway I'm going to crochet some and bedtime soon.

Lauralind, I am happy to hear that you have some help for your father in caring for your mother. 1 step at a time.

I am just home from our annual Christmas in Christ Chapel music celebration. An amazing, fabulous, cant think of enough superlatives to describe 3 choirs, orchestra, bell choir, dancers, from one of the finest Lutheran College music traditions in the US. It will be live streamed at Gustavus.edu starting at 730 pm, central time (Chicago, Minneapolis major cities in that time zone). It should also be archived and accessible since it will not be a convenient time for my European sisters to watch. This year's theme is hope, and uses the gospel story in Matthew about the Magi, and helps us reflect on what "they returned home by another way" means when our lives find us going "another way" than the way we have known (for the Magi, the way they came).
