kit ~ there's always another day. I'm sure you knocked out a bunch of that dirty ol' laundry!
kitty ~ you're doing important work - photos. my pile... daunting...
Doggedly~ you are hilarious! I laughed out loud! I'm thinking I need a bathtub fairy wand for my stalking. Looks like you had a productive day.
wtg, L.Ann!

The only thing left to do is putting the net lights out - after the snow melts on Tuesday or Wednesday. The middle of my bannister lights went out. Good enough, I'm not redoing them.

Tomorrow is house focus day. Yikes.. it's ... uh... yeah..

Off to get some supper.

Have a good night, Kittykatt. We'll see you tomorrow.

I'm leaving laundry for the week, kitkat, because the competition for the laundry room heats up on Sundays. You can relax and watch me scuttling back and forth to the laundry room tomorrow.

You have given me a new life goal, Smile*Lee: acquire bathtub fairy wands to hand out. On a related subject, one of the 2nd hand DVDs that I bought from the library is The Bucket List, so I will finally find out why people are keeping their lists in buckets.

I got cold and snuck off to bed to warm up and fell into a deep sleep. Now I'm back up and ready to dive back in.

Sunday
Cleaned up after dog
CUOP
Sorted dirty laundry
Started handwashing mop pads
Put away dry dishes
Put down blotting for where Germain peed on the floor
Cleaned up after her
Rinsed mop pads
Showered/washed hair
Rinsed mop pads
Mini grooming session with dog
Cleaned up after that
Rinsed/wrung out mop pads
Hung them
Put a tower under them to catch the drips
Rinsed out the handwashing gizmo and dumped the water out
Swept

Smiles and Kittykatt! Loved the conversation about berber looped carpet and pets. I was going to bring upt exactly the same thing! Dogs' toenails can alos get caught in berber. But no pets: go with what you like! (If you ever need a walker, it is easier to get those wheels moving on thinner rather than thicker carpet. But falling on soft is much better  )

My exercise began with light snowfall to be removed on the driveway before church. I started early enough that I wasn't even late for church, which was a good thing because I had a small part to do in the service, and had to discuss it with the pastor first. It was a short talk on giving/ stewardship, and several people told me I did a good job.
Then I went home and baked a small batch of scones.
Brought a bday gift to elderly (86 today) friend, but that age is getting to be "older" rather than "elderly" as I am creeping up too.

Sad: On my way home from her place, I stopped my car when I saw a girl standing on the street, talking on the phone. She looked like she was crying. Then I noticed - no hat, no jacket, no mittens. I stopped, she told me she was OK, but I saw the tears and told her I knew she wasn't and she should get into my warm car and tell me what was going on, and that I was safe. She was talking to the emergency (911) operator. She is only 17, her father was abusive, she ran out of the house, fearing for her safety, and didn't even have shoes or boots on. He locked her out of the house. And her mother is not in the picture. I kept her warm in my car until a deputy came and said he would help her into his car, and would contact emergency shelter/ foster care for her.

Then I went to a delightful alpaca farm 25 miles away, where the owners have a little "warm fuzzy" store and bought warm sox for almost everyone on my list! That was FUN!

Snow angels used to be so much fun! I loved making them. But the last time I tried, it didin't look much like an angel after I worked to get my body up from the snow! Guess I need to start going to exercise and agility classes! or start doing more at home. But I am trying to focus on declutter, clear and clean.
A very good friend gave me what I have called a "gift." Her dh fell down their inside steps, has been hospitalized and in rehab, same time as my mother was in hospice, died, and we had the funeral. When I invited her to join us for supper one night that she was home (had been staying near her dh, as the hospital was 85 miles away) she told me that for 6 weeks she had been coming and going, just dropping things, and nothing had been picked up. You see, that's been the past 10 years of my life, with caring for mother, and now I am working to overcome that. The gift was that it reminded me that my clutter is not the result of a deficiency, but normal for living in a caregiving chronic crisis mode.

I have taken a couple small bites of the elephant that is the K, but so much more ot go. Tonight I washed the floor by the door, and the door (It's not flat, but has areas where dust collects) and the moulding where the chair rail separates the lower wallppaer from the upper. And the fron of the microwave (above the stove model) and pantry small door. It's not a huge area, but now it is clean. That's starting from the door and going clockwise around the room.
Stove will be next. That puts the table last and it's the worst part. I need ii clear so I can wrap gifts.
I interrupted my K work by hauling my vacuum up the basement stairs and vacuuming the carpet that is on each step on my way up. Each time telling myself, see, you do now how to clean - you just ahven't had time to do it for soooo long!

Nwo it's time to go back to the next bite of my elephant!

Oh, and yes it's coldhere too. 0 F = -18 C. and we are hovering right around that - a little above, a little below.

That was kind of you, Gma, to help that girl.
