My reorganization efforts have left me with 5 boxes and bags to go through and declutter, but my surfaces are looking so good!
I'm going to take a break for food, as Germane is very interested in the kitchen, but looks at the four, count 'em four, food choices on her plate and back at me like "Don't you have anything that I can eat, Mom?" And then I had to stop her from eating her poop.
I'll try cooking some veg in the microwave to see if she wants carrot and potato.
Hi LAnn - do you use the bread maker? It must smell really good in your kitchen:)
Dogged WTG on the clean surfaces.
I need to get there,
However, I DID accomplish something:
filled a basket with give away shoes, slippers. (I even made DH try some on and make decisions!)
Tomorrow we can take them.
Laundry is going
and I'm going downstairs to continue
WTG on making the decisions about the shoes, kitkat. They will benefit someone else.
I received my projector that went missing the last time that they tried to deliver it. I am having a ball setting it up. So far I have it working independently from my wifi, showing youtube. Over time, I'll test with my DVD player and my phone, tablet, etc. Did I mention that I love gadgets?
Saturday
Filled the onion bin. That took care of about half of the onions.
Looked up how to store the rest of the onions. There is nowhere in the apartment that meets the onions’ demands. The cool part of the apartment is right by the patio door, but they want to be out of the light. The bathroom is moist and it and the closet does not have good air flow.
Opened an empty laundry bag to catch the onion skins and hung the onions from the laundry cart. I’ll have to make other arrangements while I do laundry.
Checked emails. The delivery date is tomorrow, but the tracking shows that it is on the truck out for delivery today. Will start watching for it.
Spiffed self
Tried to give Germane breakfast. The turkey and potato food and the salmon food that were a delight yesterday are a disappointment this morning.
Made breakfast.
Germane graciously accepts green beans from my rice bowl, but can smell that I have chicken in there.
Bagged up kitchen and bathroom garbages. Saw that the bathtub has not drained.
Got a new box of garbage bags from the back of the cupboard
Germane is suddenly wide, wide awake and there will be no sneaking out of the apartment to look for the delivery without her.
Cleaned up after Germane.
Put the last of the venison and sweet potato dog food in her bowl. Germane rejected it, but ate the other two. I’ll take the win.
Took Germane out for a walk. She walked all the way, and further than we have been going. She found a very interesting smell, so the walk was a success.
Checked for parcels on the main floor on the way back: none so far
Cleaned her paws and stomach
Gave her treats
Went on to Best Buy’s web site to check my order status
Pulled up the strainer in the bathtub
Made sandwich for lunch
Did tour of main floor looking for the parcel
Shook out grocery bag that had held the onions and put it away
Rotated the plants
Watered Pinky And The Brain
Changed mouse settings to give it a tail
Papered the back of Germane’s pen
Cleared everything not connected by wires off of the top of the entertainment centre
Went to get the duster, saw the coffee pot, tried to put the entire coffee pot in the microwave absentmindedly, physics said “No.”
Poured a cup of coffee into a measuring cup and put it in the microwave. Physics permitted.
Dusted the TV, VHS player, etc.
Moved everything to the far right
Brought the standing desk to the entertainment centre and set it up with TV and everything connected to it
Cleared off the computer desk top level
Set up monitor stand
Cut down tissue boxes to put under monitor stand’s bases, as they could fall through the wires
Set up second monitor stand on desk.
Started taking things out of the boxes where I had stashed desktop clutter, identifying the useful stuff and putting it back on the desk in a more organized fashion.
Set up boxes to organize the things on the desk
Cut up vegetables and cooked them in the microwave
Checked the tracking: delivered!
Got the parcel
Unpacked it
Went over the instructions
Set up the projector
Connected it to my wifi
Tested it on youtube
Wrote the vendor to tell them that all is well.
Dogged - just an idea:
do you give yogurt or kefir to Germane? My daughter found it very helpful with her anorexic dog... I give it regularly to mine to keep the guts healthy... (I have some from time to time to help myself, too )
Laundry is coming along...
waiting for another load then I'm off to bed.
I have a wonderful Mitch Albom book waiting...
LOL, kitkat, I have Greek yoghurt in the fridge that I'm stuck eating because she won't touch it. Happily for me, she has had a burst of appetite, so she has eaten a good serving of dog food and I got her Apoquel into her.

Convinced Germane to eat by hand feeding her bite-sized pieces of the warm potato and carrot slices.
Took a break
Batched up the last of the vegetables
Hand fed Germane some more vegetables
Gave Germane her Apoquel
Washed out sink and basin
