Hope you got to enjoy the sunshine and blue skies, Kitty. The beer festival outing sounds like a very serious undertaking for DH and friends.
Is dh taking public transportation to work while his car is in the shop, trissie? Dh and I love Indian food, but I know not everyone enjoys the flavors. My dh likes quite spicy food.
Sounds like a nice day of connections with IRL friends and family, kitkat. What will you do with the photos?

We got a little more snow overnight. This morning it's gray and fairly cold, 20F (-6.7C). We're forecast to get more snow between 12 and 2-ish. It will get much colder next week, and there's no sunshine in the foreseeable future. :(

Last night, I stopped by my friend SS' house to help her work with some ESL students from her church. I might be doing this regularly - I haven't decided yet.

Today: I have another day with nothing on my calendar - no appointments or meetings - but plenty of other things to do. I'm loving these days with empty calendar squares. :D I would like to: exercise, make progress on the brain dump list, make that one bank errand, maybe finally declutter my mom's knick knacks. I started updating the exam record for payroll yesterday, and finishing that would be good. I can also work on mailing out NY cards -- getting it done before January is over would be novel.

Next:
- some qt
- back exercises
- reclaim kitchen

Later:
- exercise: outside this afternoon? It will be warmer but the paths might be snowy.
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- payroll: finish updating exam record
- NY cards - international cards ready for the mail
- bank
- sheets and towels: fold and p/a
- remake guest beds 1 2 3
- declutter mom's knick knacks
- make appointment with foot Dr.
- email reply to EP, ML
- other things?
- duolingo
- update health apps: WW, MFP, Finch
- dinner out with dh
- read for fun
- restart knitting project

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website

hi L.Ann! the vindaloo was altered for European tastes (i.e. not as many chili peppers), but it was still a lot :-)
kitkat, I've learned some tricks that I will definitely use - like putting my onions in a cold pan if I want them to dissolve into the sauce. Never heard of that technique but it makes perfect sense, because hot oil creates a caramelized crust that keeps the flavour and the moisture inside.
kittykatt, I knew it was spam, but you tempted me to try my German skills on it (currently working on my French in duolingo). Yeap, a spam, offering discounts for temu.
helia, he dropped the car off this morning (and continued by public transportation) and is picking it up on his way from work. Somebody just had to settle the bill and pick up the second set of keys :-)

When we check now (automated), we're happily told that our "Site is Clear". Definitely hoping so - fingers crossed. We understand the problem has been widespread.

We are awaiting our next daily security check by GoDaddy, which usually happens later in the afternoon here, and assume it will say the same.

Thank you to Twins' Mom, who did some extra housekeeping in the village this morning.

Thank you to KittyKatt for pointing out an unwanted post. trissie has excellent language skills - with computer translation, we could see a shopping sale was the only content.

Hello, everyone!

Did you have many guests at your bird feeder today, L.Ann?

Thank you for sharing the onion tip, Trissie!

Enjoy your free day, Helia!

Harriet, thank you for the update! I'm glad everything seems to be operating normally again here :D

Today's been fairly successful. I managed some time in my garden, and had a walk round . the estate. I also walked the bag of donations over to the charity bank. The rain returned during the afternoon, so I've done some more admin jobs - a little towards the house insurance (I need to do more tomorrow on this) , ordered the prescription cat food and meds from the vet, booked Matilda's wellness check for the end of the month, and ordered the rest of the cat food and supplements from Pet Drugs Online.

DH enjoyed his time at the beer festival, and is now watching TV. I've folded and PA laundry, do e the wool/delicate wash, and fed everyone.
