Enjoy your class, KitKat! You're right about the weather, sunshine really does have a "feel good" factor.

Helia, thank you for the words of encouragement. Ive done one coat of paint, and I'm waiting until the 2 hours are up so I can paint the second and final coat. Then I'll wait another hour until it's touch dry to let the Girls out of the bedroom! (Freddie is asleep on top of "his" kitchen cupboard )

I'm sure you'll still have a full day, even with just Little Bit home, L.Ann!

Trissie, I'm glad today went better for you. As the weather was beautiful and sunny this morning, I went for a long walk. I'm not sure when we'll see the sun again, so I wanted to make the most of it. Of course this means I'm not going to get much done on my list except for the painting, but tomorrow is another (rainy) day!

Bama, your Christmas tree sounds so pretty! I know a couple (a retired bishop and his wife), who always leaves their tree up until Candlemas on 2nd February, which marks the end of Epiphany, so you're in very good company!

As we had a beautiful sunny start, I made the most of it with a long walk round the estate a d even some time in my tiny front garden,.where I can reach everything from paths. I have snowdrops, daffodils hellebores and cyclamen flowering now, so it's starting to wake up again. I was just contemplating maybe having a little look in my back garden,.when I felt the first spot of rain. So I took that as a sign it was time to come in. I painted the first coat of paint on the wall before lunch. I'm just waiting for it to be ready to recoat, and then I'll paint the second coat, and that will be it. I'm not a good painter by any means, but if it looks better than it did before, then I'll be happy.

Kittykatt, I’m honored to be in such esteemed company. And I’m admiring your paint job from afar. I’ve been meaning to paint some things here for months but can’t seem to make the time.

Trissie, When we were a family with younger kids we went with the big tree and decor that needed to go after Christmas. This tree takes up maybe a square foot of floor space in the corner so isn’t really noticeable other than the light it puts off. Is it the weekend now for you? When I worked there was a radio station that would play a certain song every Friday at 5pm, “Weekend” was the name, by Wet Willie, and it got you in the mood to relax and enjoy the time away from work.

Still iso mojo! Will dust and vacuum until it gets here.

The pool and hot tub are all indoors, Bama. It's all very comfortable and civilized. I even showered there afterward. This "gym" has a spa component, and the locker room facilities are very nice, almost reminiscent of a Korean Spa. A Hawaiian meal sounds interesting!
I love shrimp too, L Ann, but now my bad cholesterol is high for the first time in my life, and I think shrimp has a lot of bad cholesterol? I haven't figured out yet how I will navigate that. I like the Tuscany shrimp recipe that I got from you and have made it several times. Dh also likes it.

trissie, your weekend is here! Yes, the last week of session 1 at our school finishes next Friday. I'm on (I think) to teach 1 class in session 2 as well as to start training for more admin responsibilities in session 3.
LOL kitkat! I hope I can find the small gift for dh. . . Otherwise, it will become a small gift for me later. Earlier this week, I found a Christmas gift for dd27 that I had completely forgotten about!

It is sunny with clear skies here! Very pretty. I might go for a short walk outside later. Though I spent 2 hours of my day on my gym outing, in terms of exercise, I only clocked about 17 minutes. LOL! Not sure it was worth it from that standpoint, but I did get to visit with dd27.
