Cathy… I’m around, just have to spend much of my time overseeing what’s going on with Sweetie.

He is not very steady on his feet, but refuses a walker. He does well around the house, but I have to really watch him if we go out

Today if pjs and sweats day. Sweetie is experiencing mild hallucinations, but at least ca n explains what he’s seeing. Anyway we are spending the day watching things on tv that doesn’t stir up his mind.

Otherwise my days are pretty quiet.

After talking with DS17 and DD14, I set our three bicycles by the road with a FREE sign. After many years of enjoying bike rides, none of us are interested in riding anymore, so there’s no reason to keep them. Hopefully, they’ll end up with someone who will enjoy them as much as we once did.

Dh went to the nurse's clinic. He refused the compression socks, but did say I could bring them home and put them on tomorrow morning. I was given the supplies (compression socks x 4 and some moisturizing cream, plus a small bottle of saline to clean out the wounds when needed.

Dh was irritable and he complained it was too hot in there. He's the one who had 2 sweatshirts on. Now that we are home, he's gone to bed.

Was well enough to go to in person church today.
Had lunch, sun came e out and walked ddoggo.
Found some really inspiring music.
Did some crocheting.

I've had a pretty good day -- enjoyed lunch with dbil and family -- I'll never learn the names of all dsisil's family. I know her only daughter when I see her at family things, and the two kids that go with her, and dsisil's two sons' names (but I can't keep straight which is which) and it is impossible to keep straight which child and which wife goes with which son. And all these are grown children, some with babies of their own! But they're all super nice and I always enjoy talking with them when something brings us all together.
DDIL had about enough when the grandson's wedding became the topic of conversation and we left (we had all gone over there in my car to save driveway space) -- but we weren't the first to leave, and we had been there almost two hours. I could tell the rest cleared out pretty soon after we left.

After that I texted a while with Dfriend who had heart surgery -- she's doing well but looking towards having a defibrillator installed next month, and she dreads that.
Also talked with dh's cousin in nursing home for rehab. She is NOT doing well. She is too weak to stand on her own and is expecting to have a PET scan this week. She knows the cancer has spread, but she does not know to what extent. She was feeling pretty miserable.

I took a pretty long nap and then dgs and I had frozen pizza for supper and watched Naked Gun 33 1/3 with Leslie Neilson. I had forgotten some parts of it and we both LOL a lot (even though some of it was kinda embarrassing to watch with one's grandson.) I had to explain some of the references to older movies, like Thelma and Louise and The Shawshank Redemption. Of course, it really shows its age, co-starring O.J. Simpson.
DGS is spending the night since school is out tomorrow and he hasn't had his night alone this weekend.
I also did a load of laundry and ran the "clean" cycle for the washing machine.

I'm going to watch the news and finish the episode of Gunsmoke I was watching and work on my planner for the week... then I plan to get a shower tonight in hopes that carpenter friend will call in the morning and come look at this roof. DS asked if I could take dgd to softball practice tomorrow, which I can. I won't have to stay for the whole practice. It starts at 6:00 and DS and ddil have chiropractor appointments at 5:00. I bet they will want to eat supper together before they come get DGD, though... so there's that.

LadyM, one thing that is kinda embarrassing about my dgrands -- neither one of them has ever learned to ride a bicycle without training wheels! I hold DS and ddil responsible for this. I guess it will not affect their lives too much -- there are no other children within bike-riding distance of them, so there was never any peer pressure to learn, and they just never did.
I remember riding a bicycle a LOT. I even put baseball cards in the spokes. Kids are just growing up in a different world, sadly, today. I'm glad your two have those memories.
DGD does spend a lot of time outdoors on her trampoline, and as I said, will be starting softball tomorrow. DGS thinks football is enough for him, but it does occupy his time 3 days a week, so I guess that's enough.He's not on a screen all the time he spends with me at least.

Twins, LadyM, I may have mentioned -- the church I grew up in is experiencing some problems because the pastor seems to be taking it upon himself to remove older ladies (my age ladies!) against their will from their positions as Sunday School teachers and even nursery workers! They have lost a LOT of long-standing members and people in leadership positions, but they keep bringing in young people, young families. It's a difficult situation for a lot of the "old-timers" whose families have been there for generations.
I will not be teaching the Wednesday night class myself during Lent. The pastor wants to do a church-wide Lenten study, so that will start this week and give me a little bit of a break. I will be teaching ddil's Sunday School class until Easter, I think, and I don't mind doing that, but my goodness today was sorta chaotic. The pastor's grandson (2nd grade) was there... I think he is ADHD... and two little boys who were with our nursery worker -- ages 4 and 5! I don't think anyone got a lot out of it. When the little girls are my only students, we have a good lesson. The 5th grader is extremely smart and catches on to everything, and helps her little sister, and dgd is quiet but helpful also. Anyway I was struggling this morning.

Our church has a meeting Tuesday night to decide whether to keep the current pastor. I'll put more in J&C.

This is one of the brief times of the year that it is not too hot...not too cold...but just right.

YES, LadyM... I'm watching the weather and they are predicting high 70s for later in the week. But then back around 50 by next weekend. It's just up and down around here.

Harriet, your delivery person really needs some better training doesn't he (she?) (For some reason, I think a woman would be more considerate.)

So tomorrow -- I need to go to Wmart for a few things, * almost out of toilet paper! * and will have to finish the laundry. I plan to do the bathroom part of the WHB, and then take dgd to ball practice.
