Hello, all. I am having a distracted day, where I don't seem to actually do anything that I start on.

Bama, chicken livers are not something that we see often here. I remember being astonished by the variety of things that KFC covered in breading and deep fried when I visited my df in Virginia. In Canada, it's only chicken and French fries that go into the deep fryer.

Thanks for starting us off, Kittykatt. I hadn't heard of that flower before. It's pretty.
Boy, Matilda really let you know that you were in the dog house, LOL. On the bright side, you can't turn your back toward someone you can't trust, so even while she was telling you off, you are still in her inner circle.

I'm glad that your knee is feeling better, L.Ann.
Your cupboard looks neat.

Clean floors are nice to wake up to, Bama.

I hope that your errands go smoothly, kitkat.

Lauralind, I hope that things go well with your dfather.

I'm glad that your dh got home safely, helia.

I have made it to the end of Page 1. Time to finish something that I have started. Or at least advance it.

Wednesday
Cleaned up after dog
Put on a pot of coffee
Breakfast for Germane, who today wants only broth. Carrots and potatoes both strewn around the kitchen, and don’t talk to her about dog food!
Looked into next afternoon concert
Looked into df’s stitch n bitch
Spent some time on course
Discovered a GPT for government and explored it
Looked at delivery from Costco: cocoa powder.
Wrote to the mfr to ask why their cocoa powder looks so different from the store brand that I normally buy.
Started grains/legume mix in rice cooker with the cottage roll broth that I had thawed out

8 hours later with not much to show for it. I’m glad to not be the only one distracted. My mind is all over the place. Forcing myself to focus on one task at a time.

Done:
Up :)
Inside pets fed and watered
Litter boxes scooped
Made sausage cheese balls (in loaf form) for a few days of breakfast
Ate and logged brunch (coffee with sloppy Joe mix and a pc of cornbread I found in fridge)
Unboxed 13 pcs of glass fruit and used un-do to get the price stickers off
Emails
Dbrother called, will visit and deal with some pw in a few weeks/back problems
Stared at empty bird feeders along with birds, they sure do eat a lot, you up north should thank me for filling them up before they head your way, it’s like raising teenagers, always hungry, lol!
Unloaded dw

Do:
Rinse dirty dishes and load dw, run if full
Clean out fridge
Wfd? Probably frozen burritos and enchilada sauce
Clean out dish towel drawer
Drink water!!!

Hello everyone!

I'm glad your DH got home safely, Helia.

I hope your appointment is successful, L.Ann. The jelly cupboard is a beautiful piece!

Yay for unmarked floors , Bama!

I hope you have a good trip, Laura, and can get things more settled for your DDad.

Yay for successful appointments, KitKat! I think it was you who asked about Matilda yesterday - she's a tabby (adorable, but she definitely has Opinions!)

Dogged, thank you for the reassurance - Matilda seems fine today - her usual cheeky self. :D I *think* I'm forgiven!

Today's been "bitty" but I got lots of little jobs done. Ive walked the bag of donations over to the charity bank, and then made the most of a fine day to walk down along the stream. I managed to see Dnextdoorneighbour C and give her the bag of ties and twine I'd decluttered, Ive filed the paperwork from yesterday , and put Matilda's vaccination certificate and passport back where they belong. Ive also had some time in my garden before starting the housework. Everyone is moulting, so I hoovered upstairs again today. The kitchen is clean and everyone has been fed.

Bama, I too am happy that I am not the only one! I haven't improved at all, but I did get a call to the ISP done, and made a batch of pease porridge with the cottage roll broth that was thawed out in the fridge, so it's not wasted. According to my new ISP, the reason that I don't have basic features like record TV or pause TV is that I'm running it on a tablet and I need a ROKU or Firestick. So, I've been pricing ROKUs, found a cheap one at best BestBuy, checked that my TV can accept an HDMI cable (it is an old TV) and then ordered ROKU and cable. If that doesn't make the TV work better, then I will probably have enough on the ROKU to just drop the TV service, and order BritBox instead.

kitkat, I'm glad that your appointments led to good outcomes

LOL, Kittykatt. I'd say that Matilda's opinion of the camera is not high.

--Oh, my brain just snapped into gear. This is the perfect place to ask this question: I'm trying to feed my chocolate addiction and dodge the worst of the price increases making brownies or fudge with cocoa. Even if the price of cocoa escalates, you can get a lot of desserts from one container. Anyway, I have used up my little can of Frys cocoa and was pricing options, when I found that I could buy 1.5 KG of cocoa from Costco at a lot cheaper per gram, so I ordered it. When I saw it today, it is a pale colour, more like Nestles Quick than straight cocoa from the grocery store. I checked the ingredients and it just says cocoa. Have you seen different colours of cocoa powder, and do you know what the difference is?

Spiffed self
Started grains/legume mix in rice cooker with the cottage roll broth that I had thawed out
Looked into alternatives for new ISPs TV application
Called ISP to get credit: successful
Spoke to ISP about missing features for TV service: need a ROKU or Firestick
Researched that and then ordered ROKU and cable

Dogged, I looked up cocoa and cacao in my Costco app and they only sell one, rodell brand. The rest is for a hot cocoa drink mix. Could yours be a mix? If it’s straight cocoa, I’m not sure why it would be so light. Maybe make hot cocoa with it and see how it tastes before you make a batch of food with it. I got organic cocoa at Christmas and it was totally different than the Hershey brand I usually use, in color, texture, and taste.

Yay on your donations kittykatt.

Kitkat, wish I had that reason but I have been home all day.

Got labels off glass fruit, soaking in sink to get off sticky residue
Walked dogs, sitting outside now while they cool off in the big dog yard
Fed outside cats and turkey
Fill bird feeders
Pu pcs of wood and put in Polaris to get off ground until I decide what to do with them

Dogged I think there are different kinds, likely coming from different areas of the world... Also, there are different processes - thinking like "Dutch processed" . I am definitely not an expert... but those are my thoughts.
Kittykatt she is definitely cute...

I just got my pup home after a walk. She wanted to play more in the backyard, so I took her. She was having a grand time when I spotted something red in the snow... then another spot. I followed her closely: it's her front foot. Brought her inside, had her stand on a white towel: I know it's her right foot. Bleeding stopped almost immediately- I wiped it down w a wet towel... I can't do much more at the moment. She lets me handle it- puts weight on it readily... Wait and see?
I felt so bad, she was so happy outside...

Next up:
lol fpa /adv laundry
dinner prep
