Morning all. I am not going to stress over tomorrow already. It's turning scheduled from morning to night. Quickly. I think I just don't like super scheduled days. Why do they always land everything at the same time.

First off today is easy but work. I need to get up and do a few routine things before. After work one of my new co workers is coming. She will meet all my critters and decide if she wants to stay here or just come a couple times a day and take care of them all while we're away in a couple weeks. Honestly just pick up a few things and a little straightening in the kitchen will make it acceptable. If she stays it will require some cleaning to corners again.

Then tomorrow is off.. so called. School run. Dentist 830. Bible study 1030. Hair apt. 130. Then I just realized tomorrow is half day school and I should go see this bunch of teachers again. Ds is a different kid since he started high school. Suddenly his goals are that of getting into a university later and needing all the high end classes to do it. I have to remember to book that this morning. 3 ish?

He's still got his quirks. Telling me he would like to be in a city cause he can disappear and be anonymous in the population..? And sitting playing game and when it doesn't go well smacking himself? Not liking social. And not liking distractions.

Anyways that was a rambling planning post.

Kittykat dad took to that point of view when mom was still home. A very good method. He kept it for a moth or so . She really could have had a little more time to get to some details but did a good job. At this point he doesn't very often have people there it's just him. A battle I choose to let slide. I'll help occasionally but soon we need to help more with downsizing and selling. He has started doing some repairs. New rug for the stairs. Tile for the front entry and under the woodstove. And he fixed a hole in the wall from that first fall a couple years ago signifying something happening with mom. So stuff is getting done now. Getting doctors onside and legal stuff going. Medication for him. Taxes is on dh agenda today. And who knows what computer/ phone plan things that are almost getting harder for dad than easier. Ohh goodness I am so thankful for a super patient dh and my administration talented sister. I feel like all I can do is be a listener and tack on mom care and do the urgent I need this right now errands. I should probably go one day and spend a couple hours getting some details in the house again. After I catch up on my own stuff. Phew. 😆

Oh I don't think I shared my other news yet. Which is the other part of the whirlwind. So same night as I got the news of my aunt... dd called a couple hours before... we are going to be grandma and grandpa again. She's due early September. Story of my life.. happy and hard all together ❤️ 💓

Yesterday was sooo full, I never got here.
Yay for new internet and smooth install, kittykatt.
helia, you are really on the move after return from vacation.
laurlind, so happy to hear about dd! I hope the pregnancy goes well. That is indeed good news. Sorry about your aunt, All mine were precious, so I suspect she was too. Does you dad have a little more energy for fixing things in the house without your mom's constant care?
Bama, when and where are you planning the cruise? Sounds delightfully luxurious!
L.ann, you are surely getting information in order and all in one place. How good for emergency situations.
Hi, kitkat, enjoy your mild weather and wlk with dgd.
doggedly will be by later I supppose, and maybe peaches?

I haven't figured out today except that I am taking ds and family to a restaurant for supper, to have a nice visit while dgson is home from University for spring break.
He was such a help to me yesterday! 4 hours of trimming bushes at my mother's house. The weather was perfect for us to do that. Of course there is so much spring yard work to be done in her huge yard, one would hardly notice what we did. But we tackled 2 hugely overgrown blue sprice bushes, and trimmed out so much dead, plus trimmed back some but hopefully not too much. I was grateful for our community meal so I didn't have to cook supper.
DfBS called with a health problem. She took an extra water pill as a first intervention, but it hadn't helped so I took her to the emergency room after supper, and she was admitted to the hospital.
I finally got home just before midnight, and went to bed instead of unloading my dw or making a list for today.

kittykatt, I agree, those who know exactly how things should be done are indeed those who should be doing them!
L.Ann, can I come over for dinner? shrimp tikka massala sounds delicious!
helia, you have a busy day - as always! But you have fun activities like meeting friends in it too, so that's good!
kitkat, looks like winter is over for you too!
Bama, I am with you on trying to wake up. Been trying to do that the last 12 hours (alarm went off at 5:30 and it's just past 5pm now), with varying success :-)
lauralind, such happy news! Another baby! And DS wants to go to university! Sorry about DAunt, must be very hard for your dad :-(
little by little, the garden will get done, gma, and especially if you have that eager helper :-)

Home, finally. I was so tired at work today that I had to look for no-brain tasks to keep myself busy at times, but I did not fall asleep at the one meeting I had today (that would have been bad, as it was a one-on-two annual compliance meeting / risk assessment that I have to undergo with every department of the company, so they very much would notice me dozing off  ) Did a work lunch with our head of IT - so much of my work consists of getting people to talk to me year-round about what problems they encounter, where shortcomings are and what is going on off-record. Then DBD had her speech therapy apt, and now we are home and it's 5:30pm. But I did get upstairs cleaned yesterday, so today is just the usual upkeep.

TaDas
- morning madness
- survived day at work
- sorted insurance for late grandmother's apartment (now in my name and with the employee discount which means it's pretty cheap)
- pick up DBD from school
- DBD's speech therapy

ToDos
- morning routine
- 15 outside
- 30 inside

Hi, all. Today is Germane's grooming appointment, so that is our main focus. I hope that the elevators keep working today. Yesterday I didn't hear any alarms testing, so maybe I'll be lucky again today. I won't be able to keep up with answering all of the posts, so I apologize in advance.

Thanks for another artistic start, Kittykatt. Yes, I never expected to lose battle to a clothes hanger, LOL.
Wow, that was some quick service from the installer!

Yup, Gma, I'm here, a day late and a dollar short!

Tuesday
Breakfast for dog. She’s not eating unless it’s a piece of fish.
Cleaned up after dog
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a few basinsful of dishes
Showered/washed hair
Brought Germane to groomer
Checked mail

Laurlind sorry you you are going through difficult times. Stressing ahead of difficult days does not help (ask me how I know). Having gone through a period like that, I found, there are days when all we can do is put one foot in front of the other.
Hope it gets better for you soon.

Waving to all my other SHEfriends. (Apologies, no time to properly reply )
Just back from picking up dLittle one.
Nothing much got done here... I'll see how much laundry I can do b/4 I leave.

what are you reading, L.Ann?
I'm cheering you up, kitkat! I shall see you in the laundry room after dinner, unless you are done and gone by the time I get to it.

There's a huge pile of branches in front of the chokeberry bush, but you can hardly tell any change. I will continue tomorrow :-)

TaDas

- cooking with DS - now he knows a new recipe :-)

Enjoy time with the little one, kitkat. Yes, we have mild temps today too. So nice! Apparently it's -- 76F?! And the sun is out now. We're forecast to get rain tomorrow.
Congratulations, Lauralind, on another grandbaby! I hope dd is feeling OK. I'm sorry about the loss of your aunt. Great news that ds wants to go to university!
Has Germane been beautified - more than usual, I mean, Doggedly? Does she like the groomers?
I like peonies, L Ann. I still need to refill our bird feeder.
Glad you avoided nodding off during the meeting, trissie. That's a lot with payroll and DBD's speech therapy.
Hi Bama. You're probably well awake by now. :)

I got home from payroll late. I made copies of another practice test for my students after class. Then, I left my phone at the school so I had to return to get it. I got home at 2:05. I've had lunch and am now looking for mojo for grocery shopping. I may not get to jogging again today. It's almost 3:20 now.

My weather website says it is 76F here right now. That's pretty incredible!! We're supposed to get thunderstorms tomorrow.

I checked this morning and I need Savoy cabbage for the recipe dh is making. (Funny after we just talked about Savoy cabbage here.) WF is out of it -- but Kroger seems to have it, so I'm going to Kroger.

Next:

Later:
- some qt? short?
- back exercises
- grocery lists
- WF?
- Walgreens - pick up script
- Kroger?
- put everything away
- Jog/ Walk
- spiff main bathroom
