L.Ann, walks are good :-)
Bama, I'd love me a hot breakfast, but I am too dangerous to cook before coffee! :-)
kitkat, DB will be 9 in June! But due to her issues, she's emotionally and interest-wise closer to a pre-K then to a pre-teen! :-)
kittykatt, so what are YOU getting?
Dogged, people here don't do cruises, so the swimsuit season does not begin till... well April. Yes, by the time you need the thing, it's no longer in store these days! One year I was looking for Halloween decorations mi-September, and they were already replacing them with Christmas sets!

Still can't cross anything off my garden list, but I was busy there! It will take time to get everything done, as our garden is full of trees, bushes, hiding places and flowers plus fruit and stuff. Little by little, though, it gets attention.

With all of the sewing talk today, I'll give you a laugh and tell you that Germane's bed cover for her dog bed is my old tshirt folded around it. No sewing, LOL.

helia, I'm glad that you are getting a less-scheduled day today, and that you and your DH are on the same page about it.

On the subject of movies, I have Good Luck Chuck queued up for later. It looks fun: a guy realizes that he is a sort of good-luck charm: his ex-girlfriends meet their soul mate as soon as they break up with him.

kitkat, I was listening to The Cost Of Living. Paul Haavardsrud has the unusual ability to make talk about money interesting.
And speaking of people who make unusal topics interesting, did you catch the interview with David Suzuki this morning? He's coming up to 90, and he has not toned down his spiciness one little bit.

Enjoy your sewing, FrenchFly. Your movie line up sounds fun for tonight.

Very wise of you to ensure that you are buying a bathing suit that meets your DD's needs.

I'm glad that you had a nice walk with your df, L.Ann.

Woo hoo on the shiny sink and full dw, Bama.

I need to step away and come back to continue CUOP

Sunday
Heart pill for Germane
Set timer for one hour and took up her food
Put on a pot of coffee
CUOP
Put away dry dishes
FACE: paid bills, checked balances
Measured the walk-in closet opening for a door covering project I am thinking of
Gave Germane breakfast: rejected, and I’m not giving her fish for no reason as we are out of fish in the freezer
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a couple of basinsful of dishes
Soaked dishes
Germane came out and mugged for fish again and finally went and did a pee to earn herself a treat.
Gave her a piece of fish, and peace reigned in the land
Washed the soaking dishes and put more in

Morning routine is done and I’m taking a break to cuops and drink some water. It’s warm here, there is a carpenter bee buzzing around my head. Is it wood? :P

Helia, deep breaths. You’re doing great.

Dogged, an old tshirt is ingenious, it’s soft and comfy and smells like you. Plus it’s easy to toss and replace when needed. What could be better?
The only Suzuki I know is the motorcycle lol.

Trissie, I’m with you on the warm breakfast. My kitchen has to be completely cleaned every day before I cook so I try to set myself up to not cook until later in the day. I remember the days of you pre-child and I believe you were single. We have all grown so much. Isn’t adulting fun?

We have plenty of swimsuit stores around here that sell all year long. Unfortunately they cater to “spring break” teen/college age people and teeny tiny bikinis, you’d think you would get a lot more for the prices they charge.

Hi LAnn. Pita pockets sound delicious.

Kittykatt, I’m glad you have a helper. If I gave dh an option, he’d add his own option “none of the above”
He did help when I was pregnant and he will clean when it comes down to it but he is “blind” to most everything without a little nudge, which I’m happy to oblige.
The copper butterfly is very pretty and dainty. I found out recently a friend of dd22’s collects real butterflies on pins. I’m not sure if she catches or purchases them, I didn’t really want to know.

Kitkat, yay for making it through your workout, time to treat yourself with a book.

FFB, do you enjoy sewing? I started learning as a preteen and stopped, wish I had kept going.

My scroll has ended. Hope I got everyone. If not, I’ll get you next time, my pretty.

Time to update my list and feel accomplished lol

trissie - I'm always impressed with how much you do with and for your children.
Dogged I only listen to radio in the car... In fact, I've been planning to get a small radio for home (just in case).
LAnn Has Little Bit seen the doll?
helia here I am cheering you for that jog! I bet you felt better after. It does clear the mind.
Kittykatt - her bed is a mini couch... Not only that, but it's curved. I'm goint to attempt to create a paper pattern for it and take it from there. My oldest DGD has a machine...

Back from our walk. Over 45 minutes. I'm proud of pup, she handled herself well despite barking dogs etc. I can see she is stressed by them but knows not to react. Jumps right next to me - for a treat

Ate a little sandwich. Had coffee.
Now: lol then a bit of rest (with my book or a word puzzle)

This grandma woud also indeed have a fit if a grandchild spoke of going to a tattoo parlor. In fact, my grandson at University is getting an allowance from me, with a stipulation that it stops if there are any tattoos. (Because they are expensive, and if he can afford one, he doens't need my allowance mpney)
trissie you deserve big congratulations for finiding that swimsuit!

Yesterday was so lovely where i live: temp hit 80! I cleaned the inside of my car, not just emptying out what doesn't need to be there, but really cleaned: including scrubbing the wheelchair soil marks on the backseat leather from all the times I took Mother places. And found her wallet - that I had lost months ago and it's been too cold to thoroughly clean out the car. If only I had new car smell scent, I could add that, it's so clean! I ran out of both time (4 hours already!) and energy so will have a little soil in the ceiling to deal with when we have another warm day. It's only 30 today, and completely cloudy, plus wind, so not a nice day to be outside. Glad for what I got done yesterday and the day before: lightly raked my front yard as well, in 2 days. Crazy weather pattern here: 1 week ago we were having a blizzard and 10 inches of snow, then 80s yesterday, and back to 30 today
I'm physically tired after to days of raking
Got to chruch this morning
ate scrambled eggs for lunch
Now planning to go to infoor community walking track for a mile walk
and as I feel like a really need a nap, it will be my reward for my walk.
later plan, if I get a nap - go to Walmart to get some over the counter things that my new insurance says they will pay for - I'll see if it works.

I lookes up more info on Bama's Bible, will share later

Oh, for crying out loud! I thought that we finally got a day without a weather warning, and I just walked by my Alexa and saw a yellow warning for freezing rain. I might chance it and still go to the grocery store, or I might just go to the closest grocery store to get Germane's fish.
--never posted that. I have made rice and spiffed myself, and have settled on going to the grocery store across the street as my plan.

WTG on getting that floor scrubbed, L.Ann.

Have a good time at CG2, helia.

LOL, Bama, I remember an overly-friendly carpenter bee who followed me into the bathroom by walking under the closed door. It was like a horror movie. I couldn't bring myself to take off my clothes in front of an insect that was so determined to make my acquaintance, and ended up putting off my shower for later.
That was my thinking about the tshirt: it's easier to wash than a dog bed, and it matches my sewing skills. ;)

kitkat, your best bet is a handcrank radio that will work when the power's out and you want to save your batteries for light. You can play the radio on your computer or Alexa or phone, so you don't have to buy a radio for that.

Gma, I am envious of your weather. I'm sure that you are further north than I am. Oh, well, the nice weather will get here eventually.

Washed pot and put it back into soak
Spiffed self
Ate some rice and veg

Last CI before bed

Dogged and Bama, the Suzuki that comes to mind for me is Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese ambassador to the UK. He's really thrown himself into his job and all things British, and as well as his "official" assignments, he travels all over the UK visiting places of interest, along with his Paddington Bear!

Trissie, the rose I'm thinking of getting is a miniature moss rose called Dresden Doll. I've been looking out for it for several years - there aren't many stockists.
https://www.garden-roses.co.uk/shop/dre ... ture-M1921

Waving to everyone else!

I am finally up to date with putting the cat photos into albums :D (this is the biggest category - no surprises there! ) Next week I'll see if I can start work on the photos of the garden.
