I am never golng to get these random time zones straight, where some are on DST and some are on ST. I was scrambling to bring up the link for The Walrus Talks but it wasn't appearing on their web site. I finally double checked the current time in SK, and it's not seven o'clock yet. And CBC just lost their link to their reporter at NASA, so I think I'll go wash some dishes.

Heart pill for dog. Picked up food and set alarm.
Cleaned up after dog
Started to CUOP
Got distracted by how annoyingly Windows had arranged the icons on my taskbar. I was blaming the space assigned for widgets that I had turned off.
Did a bit of research online and found that it was an alignment problem. Easy fix.
Checked out info about today’s moon mission launch
Offered Germane breakfast: both dog foods rejected
Gave Germane a piece of fish: accepted
Gathered clothes for shower
Emptied out WPBs
Put away dry dishes
Showered/washed hair
Quick scrub of bathtub
Cleaned up after dog
Accepted delivery
Went through box: one item missing. Box says 1 of 2.
Checked GT’s web site: no info
Checked courier’s web site: much better. It shows the shipment in two boxes, and one of the boxes is still stuck in Montreal.
Looked up ticket info for tonight’s talk about wild fires: it starts at 9:00 pm in my time zone, not 6:00 pm.
Went back to check the original announcement: it says it starts at 7 p.m. CST, which logically should be 8:00 pm my time.
Tried to check SK time zone in timetemperature.com: the website doesn’t exist anymore.
Went on NRC’s web site and found that in the winter SK is on Central Standard Time with MB as it always has been, but in the summer it moves to Mountain Daylight Time with Alberta. That’s a two-hour difference from me.
Bagged kitchen garbage. Brought it and Germane to chute
Checked mail with Germane
Tracking for missing parcel has been updated. They still list today as the delivery day, but a couple of hours ago it was still in the sorting facility in Montreal, so not likely.
Put away the last of last week’s laundry
Put away the dry dishes
Empty out granny cart
Tried to join the wildfire talks: was too early.
Cooked some salmon out for Germane
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a few basinsful of dishes
Wiped down accessible surfaces
Gave Germane her Apoquel
Watched talk about wild fires. Interestingly, one of the big takeaways is that we have to get used to doing burnoffs like we used to do every spring on the prairies.

What in interesting day: Napoleon, Waterloo, The Duke of Wellington whose given was Arthur Wellesley. My husband grew up on the corner of Albert and Wellesley streets! I often wondered where the name Wellesley came from. I learned something today. And the boots too!

Freddie had tooth care : I went to a dentist specializing in root canals, and found out I had a tooth so badly infected that part of the bone is eroded. Fortunately the dentist said that as the infection improves, the bone will fill back in. AND happily enough, that whole side of my face feel so much better! My nose is more open for breathing, even my ear feels like it might hear better! I put a cold pack on the area when I came home, fell asleep for 2 hours, and woke up feeling amazing! The local anesthesia made it painless during the procedure.
I made creamy asparagus soup for supper so I didn't have to do any chewing. And I am going to bed early, hoping that I will wake up feeling great in the morning. And no, I didn't have a severe toothache ahead of time, just some tenderness in my cheek near my nose. Never more than a pain scale of 4 out of 10. I guess I'm a tough cookie!
I have unloaded, loaded, and in the process of unloading my dw, then I will put the equipment I used to puree the soup into the dw, run a short cycle, and go to bed!
Tomorrow is Maundy Thursday - A new commandment I give you (Maundy from the Latin root of the word Mandate) and a church service in the evening Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Church is in the evening, dfBS will have a phone call appointment with her Nurse Practitioner at 3pm, so I should probably plan on being there. And maybe bring her a small bowl of soup.
Otherwise, I have LOTS of cleaning to do. MrVKM may be coming here for Easter Sunday dinner, and I'm NOT at all ready for dinner company.
