LAnn - Yes, I did. I'll make a note of that book:) I like his writing.
Glad to hear DD is feeling OK. Hope they find a solution for that abscess.
Home again- another load in:) while I'm warming my back and drinking coffee...

Re: Soil Thermometer Thursday
Kitkat, is your new machine acting right? What brand did you get? I try to do something for my face to keep these pores and skin under control so added a face mask to my monthly regimen, I love the kind you peel off and see all the ick lol.
LAnn, I’m watching a show where the bad guy is called the ferryman so your comment made me think there are a lot of famous ferrymen. Hope they come up with a fix for dd’s abscess. If they can put a man on the moon (and now sling people around it) then modern medicine needs to do its thing.
Trissie, hope you’re winding down now and things are calm in your home tonight. I remember getting my ears pierced and being so excited. It must be cool to share that experience with a twin.
Dogged, cheers for your fun s&b. Costco fish must be something special.
Welp, dh got me again. Yesterday he said he’d get off at 1pm today for the meeting and he’s not here. Called and he said he told me 2:30. Um sure, they sound so much alike… 1:00, 2:30, they practically rhyme.
The good news is I’m all ready, got a walk with the dogs, left Thumper off leash as I was just going to do a quick around the house 1x and he did run off toward moms house but when I used my stern voice he ran right back. And who can be mad at a thick body with tiny legs and ears flopping running toward them.
We are sitting on the porch now enjoying a nice breeze. I have a deep wind chime that goes off occasionally like a church bell, Beau is chomping on his ball, Thumper is laying on his rug looking out and I’m in grandmas rocking chair.
I got peppermint lotion in my eye that’s burning so I hope I don’t look like I have pink eye at the meet lol.
I totally forgot lunch so gonna grab something to eat.

That’s a lot of steps, helia. Speaking of soda, do you like poppi? It’s flavored sparkling water. I tried the Shirley Temple and it was pretty good.
LAnn, is little bit planning a trip?
We are at the event a little early so waiting for it to start. We did make it to pick up our book club books “The Old Federal Road in Alabama” so I’m excited to read that.

Oh, my, the tenant in mother's house, who said she would be there for a few years has an inflamed tendon in her foot and has to find a ne w place to live where she doesn't have to do stairs. So I get to work on finding a new tenant (since I have nothing else to do

I got my errands done, and as a special bonus the very threatening skies and wind did not deliver torrents of rain. Instead they went "Psych!" and brightened up to blue and sun.
Actually, Bama, the sale was on in a grocery store in the same area, so I went there instead. Costco cheese will have to wait.
You are right. Those stumpy-legged dogs get away with everything because they're so cute and they know it.
I haven't worked up the courage to check for fish at Costco, helia. I buy 1 kg at a time if I can. A good price is $10. The regular price is now about $19. Metro had it on sale for $7.00 for base, so I bought two bags and crammed them in the freezer.
Thursday
Spiffed self
Papered Germane’s pen
Settled Germane in pen with treats
Brought parcel to courier to send
Went to Canadian Tire and bought tension rod small enough to fit in walk-in closet doorway
Went grocery shopping to get fish for Germane on sale
Brought up all purchases
Let Germane out. She has hurt one of her front legs.
Put away the cold groceries
Put some fish on to cook for Germane
Used my coupon to order a pizza
