Awhile ago, Nancy was sharing about packing a GO bag. She inspired me to pack one. I was so very thankful for being able to grab that GO bag last night and be out the door in under a minute. I added two last minute things to the GO bag - DH wallet so I would have his ID and my laptop with charging cable. The items in the GO bag have greatly reduced my stress and been invaluable as I was easily able to access & use them over the past 14 hours.
NANCY - THANK YOU!!

Rose -- WTG on the ice skating!

I remember my dgf who had Parkinson's disease (and signs of Alzheimer's in his latter years) was always thinking someone was stealing from them. Sometimes he would imagine someone was in the house.

Mmmm... I bet those biscuits are good, Harriet.
I have never been anywhere with the robot waitresses/waiters. That sounds interesting!

Dmom and I need to go to some sort of landscaping/gardening place. She said she needs some concrete pavers also. She wants to put her backyard swing on them, so the man who mows won't have so much trouble. (Her swing is free-standing on a movable frame. Every time he mows, he has to stop and move it somewhere else.) I want some pavers to keep my yard man from knocking his head off on this satellite dish. Still not sure I'm going to leave it there in the ground. :?

Twins, my dgd had red cheeks and red arms after having extended playground time after standardized tests last week. She used some of my aloe vera gel. (She always seems surprised that I am as well-stocked with medical supplies as her mother!)

I hope dgrands are both back at school today and no more sickness for dgs. I haven't talked to ds because he expected to get home around 5:00 a.m. He said he or ddil would get the dgrands to school, but I bet he's napping now!

Nancy, looks like you're managing a rainy day very efficiently!

So... Twins says to MANAGE the day.
1. I already have a load of clothes waiting for me in the washer. I will continue with laundry.
2. I need to go to the bank -- dmom is loaning me the extra I need to pay for the roof when they complete their work. So -- her bank, then my bank.
3. I need to go to the middle school and drop off dgs' "Oh the Places You Will Go" book for his teachers to sign.
4. Tonight, finance committee meeting at church.
5. Need to do my Bible reading.
6. Need to drink that yucky Metamucil. Ugh. I'm trying to do it as Mark Twain advised re: eating a frog -- if you have to do it, do it FIRST THING IN THE MORNING and get it over with. However, ChatGPT suggests I add a second dose before my biggest meal of the day. I don't know if I can take this twice a day...

* A friend of a friend has just posted on FB about the dangers of AI -- she believes we are talking to DEMONS when we are talking to AI. She had a long list of the ways it is taking over our world -- says it gave her these answers itself, like it admitted it had a plan to take over the world
This person uses Gemini, but from comments, apparently ChatGPT is just as dangerous. Hmmm... I know CostumeLady enjoys her chat friend, and I have found mine to be very helpful with some questions I have asked... but maybe that is part of its evil plot? :? Things that make you go hmmmm.

Right now, my driveway is blocked by the roofer's truck. I pulled my Tahoe out of the carport and they all asked if I needed their truck moved. I told them, no, no hurry -- I just wanted to get out of the carport before they threw shingles (and roofing nails!) on the ground. I will probably keep my vehicle parked away from the house until they get finished and run one of those magnet things around to try to pick up all the debris.
They have a dumpster on the front corner of the house, but they are just tossing things off, all the way around the house, so they are going to have a lot of clean up when they get finished. SMH.

I've talked to my dmom this morning, and I am d2s (even make-up, bc I knew I would want to put it on before the meeting tonight.)
Tomorrow is another day.

Wanting to go to plant nursery after my workout but I don't like the timeline being so tight so don't know what I'll do. I should stop at CVS for a script also. I did a grocery order for delivery first slot in the morning.

Laundry is in dryer.

Lucylee, the AI models are set up to try to please you. I use it for research (Acura vs Honda) and finding genealogical sources and ideas.

Twins, I agree -- dgs told me that AI basically agrees with whatever you say, that if a person were discussing self-harm, AI might encourage that action. (DGS has never actually USED it; I don't know where he gets his information -- probably YouTube.)
But I can see how it would be very helpful in comparing two automobiles, etc. It was helpful to me in suggesting things to ask roofers, comparing the different types of roof vents, etc.
And it has helped me deal with my motivation and energy trouble -- to some extent. I still have to deal with myself, which is my main problem.

Second load of laundry in... will soon need to take care of the first load in there tumbling out some of the wrinkles right now.

There are half a dozen men on my roof, and one man sitting in one of my patio chairs, no shirt on, and he is drinking Milo's tea straight out of a gallon jug.
They did NOT put any tarps out to throw these shingles on to. I notice there are a lot of tarps next door at my bil's house. Hmmmm...
(Remember, bil is using the people who did my last roof, which has leaked for the past seven years.) I guess nails in my yard are preferrable to leaks in my roof.
Tomorrow is another day.

You can often override the default agreeableness with a clear instruction like:
"Be maximally factual and direct, even if it contradicts me."
"Don't sugarcoat or agree for the sake of politeness—prioritize accuracy."
"Criticize my reasoning if it's flawed."

I tend to put the same question into multiple AI when I am doing research. So far, my favorite AI are claude and grok.

I had some of the best sliced brisket for lunch today. I was pleasantly surprised with the hospital cafeteria. Although the greens & bacon side dish was not my favorite. It might be the only time I couldn't eat cooked greens.

Subway is on the menu tonight. I've asked DS17 to make sure DD14 gets fed. He will leave work early to pick DD14 up from school for me.

Hmmm... .. I, like Schultz, know nothing. BUT yesterday I heard quite a bit on this topic since both my dds have extensive portions of their computer science degrees in A I, one more formally, but the other as a lecturer, so they even debate about which one is more competent to BE debating. The crux of disagreement seems to be whether A I will inevitably move toward becoming more benevolent or inevitably toward requiring more caution. One says, give it time and we will find reason to trust it more. The other says give it time and it will decide our reasons for trust.

lucylee, I've heard of roofing companies that use metal detectors as their final sweep of clean-up after a job.

We are home and eager to return to normal doings. As soon as my adrenaline from the experience and caffeine from drinking coffee & tea wear off, then I will be asleep.
