Re: Thriving on Thursday PWYC
Had soup for lunch /
Windy walk and we went on a hill it was down a bit and out of some of the wind
did not think of it at first then saw that street and took a bit of a detour instead of
heading back home. Ddoggo was glad as we have not been that way in a while.
Going down hill a bit of a challenge.
I need to change out the dog lead with retractable button as the normal one has been hanging up.
Had to drop it to get it to release again today.

Re: Thriving on Thursday PWYC
I was just falling asleep earlier when PSW phoned and I got up for a while. Dh was sleeping on the couch/sofa/ I finished the book I was reading. I went into the bedroom with the next book in the series and got all snuggled in under the covers and fell asleep without having the chance to even open the book.
Neither dh or myself are hungry. Neither one of us can agree on what we want, so here I am. I think I will make ham, fried egg and cheese on toast for myself.

Re: Thriving on Thursday PWYC
I love to cook but am definitely off my game right now. We have eaten take out for the evening meal several times this week. Last night was food from 5 guys. Tonight we are getting hamburgers cooked on grill by local person.
I'm watching what I eat because one side of my jaw is hurting if I use it much. Chewing isn't my friend right now. I'm choosing soft foods and soups. I suspect the jaw pain was brought on by stress so am going to give it a few days and hope it will resolve itself. The family doesn't want soft foods & soups so they are getting food cooked by someone else. Life is full of challenges, adjustments, and changes. I'm just going with what is working best for us in this moment.

Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

Delighted to find that a cantaloupe, of all things, turned out to be quite summery-good. Must have traveled quite a way to our grocery. I realize that is not a good example of eating with the seasons, but it was almost inspiring to smell it, take a bite, lol. I think my body was saying, "It's been a long time!"
Nancy, good job recognizing it when terrain is a challenge, and thinking that out. I found myself challenged as well, today, walking under the trees at the nursery, where they use the natural canopy to keep the shady plants from sun. I had the thought to be careful on the extremely uneven ground, very dark under there with so many surprise man-made features in addition to rocks, like metal bordering placed around trees. Not complaining - got in a lot of steps and happy about it.
I've been outside watering and puttering until it fell dark.
Sounds like a good mental health day, calm and collected, Cathy!
Waving to blessed.
Ouch, LadyM, hoping that pain doesn't last and also that you two find your days becoming more familiar and calm. You were very thorough on your laundry room clean.
Enjoy the family meal, atlantic flyer.
Twins', I do a poor job of using coupons in time for savings there. HRH asked me a question and disturbed my thoughts (not hard to do, probably) there at the shampoo aisle where I was JUST telling myself to remember a coupon. By the time we checked out and were in the car ... .. oh, well.
lucylee, simple zipclose baggies come in all shapes and sizes. Somewhere around here (not saying I've misplaced them), I have some that would be a good size for that purpose (I've also seen them used for business cards). I use them for pills that must be cut in half, and keep rolled into the pill bottle so I can find a well-stored half-pill quickly when needed. It would have a similar protection, but no one could say you had offended the lamination police.

Re the chicken question /
Black Australorp a good laying hen and hawks do not
bother them b/c they look like crows from the air.
Feeling better now after putting on a hoodie not cold any more yea!
Not really thriving today but had a good chill out day after yesterday.
It was a bit more than I usually deal with.
