Ticks give me the willies. >>>.shudder<<<< It is never a pleasant experience to find one.
I just realized it has been several years since I have found a tick on me. I believe the last time was after walking in the thick brush in mountain area.

2nd meal of the day has been prepared. One meal required some cooking and one meal didn't (fruit, yogurt & cheese).
After taking a pause on meal prep while recovering from DH amnesia episode, it feels good to be back doing things I enjoy.

Glad you found the guy before he dug in, Harriet! One of the trainers yesterday said she had some kind of spider bite, and the other mentioned seeing ticks outside.

I have done most of what was in mind for the early part of today. Somehow, my dh has disappeared. Said he'd be gone an hour and a half and I think it's been much longer. (Ah, I hear the garage door now.)

Roomba has vacuumed screened porch floor, and I did a little dusting there, everything is planted except for the two ferns - they look okay as is and I ran out of potting soil before I got to them. I thought I had another bag in the garage. I used the blower to clean up porch (after potting) and blew out the garage and straightened up. Two small loads of laundry drying in our bathroom, and I washed our towels and replace them in bathroom.

Now dh is getting testy and I might too, lol.

Back from town testing my readers out the keys are looking curved and sort of wonky.
Not as good but... the new distance one with transition progressive or what ever they are called awesome
With blue tint! [I do not look at the keys that much any way when I type thank to typing class!!!]

We have walked. Got my steps in.
Ddoggo is napping now.

Neighbor got his green machine lawn tractor going and is mowing now.
It's been a way for a week prob. had it in the shop.

I made the new batch of salmon cr. cheese spread with smoked salmon it's WAY better this way!
Had that on the deck for my lunch on a soft taco shell aka tortilla.

Got a few fun things today. Plants to put in rain in the forecast tomorrow. Seeds to put out too.
A spading fork for digging out irises to thin I can lift em out.
Got a out of date planner to use for my art stuff the boxes can be for lists assignments & sketching,
doodle of the day, or daily drawings. Got a pocket size coloring book 6" x 8" created by Johanna Bashford whom I luv!

The irises here are showing off their yearly blooms. Some of the iris blooms are white, yellow, coral and multiple shades of purple. I need to separate them because over the years they have multiplied until they are getting too crowded. However, the places I would like to plant them have gopher/moles which will eat the bulbs. *sigh*

Three loads of laundry have been processed. I usually do one load a day to stay up with it and not overwhelm our aerobic system. But sometimes I get behind. #RealLife

I am going in and out, bottom-watering plants before what I hope will be a good planting session outside.
Popping in here often on these breaks, noticing that the site seems to be moving along well.

Spider - that is the bite most concerning to dr for me, and yet they tell us we all have them right inside our homes but just don't see usually because they are little or smart. So, who knows. I was sweeping the front porch area and there were cobwebs up high. Had already reached up with the broom and swept them down when I saw the builder scurrying away. Duh! Don't court problems, Harriet. Oh, well, done now.

Testy - yes, Twins', must admit to some here, too. Moments of testiness over the irrigation work, which is interesting to me since it happened over the same items in the store as here outdoors. I know what I saw - the old needed to be discarded because it was disintegrating when last used. This is not really up for discussion to me, but evidently is to HRH. Proving it? Well, that would be impressive! But can't be done without making an unnecessary mess, and that's not even my reasoning. It is already well proven to me, and that is enough, should be enough, couldn't be more clear. Yet, because I need him for the work, there I am, arguing a point, trying to convince. Sigh. It's not expensive. It's also not done to my standards, but I've gotten so tired explaining each little thing that I'm thinking, what-ever. In general, we're on the same page.

Dh had his cardiologist appointment this afternoon. Same thing as usual. Sit at desk and talk for a few minutes, look at computer and ask if any doses have changed. Told us we missed an appointment for an ultrasound on April 13 and that hospital called dh's number in mid January. Dh ignores his phone when it rings and doesn't listen to voicemails. I had changed dh's contact number last year. I don't know who the hospital called, but it wasn't me. I have called them to re-book. I had to leave a message. I will call again tomorrow.

Dh changed his mind about supper and he wants hamburgers, so ground beef is defrosting in the sink.

I love irises, LadyM! Yes, they need to be divided periodically. They are blooming here across the way.

I don't have family members that reached 100. My mother was 92, my father 88.

Nancy, you remind me that I have zinnia seeds to put out. Dh put the bag of garden soil in that raised bed just now (needed to get it off our back porch!)

And smoked salmon cream cheese spread is wonderful!

Hoping your meds got there safely, MysteryLady. What a pain to do them by mail and have to be there to receive them too.

Dh has gone after the eggplant - it's a "take and bake." He's also going to the drugstore for me to pick up my scripts. I'm resting right now, need to lie down and stretch out my back soon.

The "not to my standards card" is frequently played here. I'm using cloth napkins for tonight and had to refold many. Dh didn't notice one side was the "right side" and one not. And cleaning the kitchen after dinner is a frequent issue but I try to bite my tongue.

In, again. Ya'll are nice folks to chat with in between outdoor bursts, lol.

Lantana and tall Marigold projects - check
Had to go find my big watering can myself, after several family members saying they saw it, but not bringing it to me, lol. (in storage building, not hard) Also after same family members all affirming they could not find any pots there, I found one favorite large 14-inch and one small. If someone doesn't want me to do too much this year, they're going to have to watch me all the time, lol. (Shhh... .. ya'll don't tell on me that I'm doing quite a lot today. We can count on dgdC for secrecy.) HRH is very busy in his office.

Zinnias - watched a garden video yesterday alphabetical order and the fellow stopped with V for Verbena. I was thinking, what, you ran out of alphabet? What are Zinnias, chopped liver? I think it was because, honestly, from seed they do fine, so maybe was just talking about the purchase of plants.

I will get a little nourishment into me and then space out some plants in the longest bed.

I have about a dozen kinds of flowers growing but if I was limited to only having ONE flower it would be Zinnias. In my little corner of the world, Zinnias are not only stunning in color but also the easiest flower to grow and thrive in our heat and wind. It would be impossible for me to count how many Zinnia plants I have growing because they are everywhere. If I had to guess how many I would say a couple hundred plants. Each plant will have more than 10 flowers so easily over 1000 flower blooming all summer. During the long growing season, I tend to pull off any of the fading Zinnias flowers and toss them to let them land wherever. That simple act ensures the next year Zinnias are planted. Absolutely no effort or fuss.

I cancelled DH dental appointment for tomorrow. He has become very sensitive to heat/cold/pain. I have my doubts that he tolerates a dental procedure. The appointment was to fix a cavity that isn't bothering him. I think we are shifting to a different phase of life where preventive care isn't primary purpose. Keeping him safe & happy are my two goals that I measure every decision against.
