Good morning!
Thanks for the start Kittykatt - I could not believe Hobby horses were a "thing". I always thought of them as toys...
As for geraniums - I only knew of the Pelargoniums...
Speaking of plants: My dkids brought me this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ornithogalum_dubium
... and, it seems to love the south east window:)

trissie - that situation is extra tough. The distance is making it super difficult... ((((((())))))))))) Hope you can find an agreeable solution.
Beekeeper club? Now, that is interesting!

Dogged hope you are getting your sleep

I'm back ... Yesterday I had dkids all day. I just fell into bed at night.
Today, I must get things into some sort of order. I do have a morning class.
The weather is miserable: cool and rainy. We had a gorgeous day yesterday and took advantage of it with dpup and dkids.

Morning all. Trissie I am so glad you are managing. Wow so many kids events today. I think too his sister is being a little unreasonable and should schedule things with you all in mind. I hope there is some progress getting care for mil. Such a hard situation. I can imagine by if my dad would have passed before mom got in care. Although only for here I think it would have been easier for us to take mom on. I hope you can get some outside help soon.

I am sitting here deciding what this day will bring. I feel like it should be busy
. But I'm not sure with what. 2 main things. First off tonight is the honors concert. Band plays. Looks like 2 songs. We practice for a bit at 4 and then play at 7. The thing is probably a couple hours long. That's my evening. And then I signed up for helping with some food for the guy that suddenly lost his partner a few weeks ago. Meals I think. Except I told her yesterday I'm not super good at freezer food. The list of what people have done includes most of what I know how to make. I think I'm going to make cinnamon buns and maybe a banana bread or something. Other than that everything is landing at the church. There's a big garage sale there in a couple weeks. So I can dig through some stuff. Load up the car with odds and ends. Go a little earlier for practice and drop off baking. Garage sale. And practice. If I leave the house at 330? And figure out supper in between?

So I should have time for basic routines. Interpretation and connect my t shirt together. Music practice. Baking. A Casper walk. Some decluttering. Oh and I should go see mom and bring her new to her shirts. I guess that's enough. I feel like dad wants to work on tile too. Gotta figure out if ds27 is going to do that cause I kinda said no I am not very capable of that. But maybe he can bring that bag of yarn and patterns back.

Start after dh leaves with

Send garbage out with dh
Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Take sheets off bed for wash and start
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Thorough kitchen clean so I can bake for someone else
Start cinnamon buns dough

You're right, trissie. My mom was already in a care facility when my father passed. I think he was very depressed about it. You've got a great memory. Ugh - I'm sorry your dsil doesn't seem to understand or appreciate the busyness of your lives. ((HUGS)) That's a lot today, but I see you're rocking it! 💪🏼 Will ds and DBD be home for the Twins' BD party? I'm very intrigued by a youth beekeeper club - and competition.
Sleep well, Doggedly.
That's a lot in one day, Lauralind, a little of everything. I didn't realize you played with a band. Is the honors concert connected to the school? Or a church thing?
We have a cool day today too, kitkat, though no rain - so they say. Just gray and cloudy all day.
Enjoy time in your garden, Kitty! The women's breakfast sounded lovely.

Today: I'm up very late. I think I slept about 9.5 hours last night. The good thing is. . . there's nothing on my calendar today! 8-) Woohoo! The bad thing is. . . I dropped my full metal water bottle on my foot last night, right on my pinky toe. It is blue and swollen. I may have put a tiny fracture in it; there was a line at one point too. However, it's not very sore this morning. I discussed with dh; I think I'll try for a jog today anyway. I prefer jogging on Saturday rather than Sunday because we have church + CG2 tomorrow, so the day is already scheduled enough. If it becomes very painful while jogging, I'll stop. Or I'll power through and give it a rest until Tuesday. Other things to do today: refill bird feeder, finish laundry, change sheets, write card for ds, order very late wedding gift, payroll catch up: exam record, set up another subbing document. If possible, get ahead for next week (a busy week) with a start on menu plans and grocery lists and lists in notebook.

Next week, AC will be out of email contact while on vacation in Germany. I'll be taking over some of her duties as academic director at the school. That means: an extra meeting on Monday, morning announcements every day, office hours on Tuesday -- on top of regular S3 GGT project work, teaching responsibilities, and putting out any small fires that pop up. (Hopefully everything will run smoothly.) In addition, we have 5 evening events: M - church plant BS @6pm, T - 6:30 host dinner with a past grad student of dh's + his wife + his lab pup :D , Th - Vol. ESL class for me at 6, Sat. - CG1 - I think we'll host @ 5-9ish pm. Sun - 6 pm host regular Sunday dinner for up to 8 people.

Next:
- some qt
- back exercises
- dress to jog

Later:
- reclaim kitchen
- run dw
- unload dw later
- strip bed
- lights: w d f pa
- put clean sheets on the bed
- refill bird feeder
- jog
- lunch
- after lunch clean up
- Walgreens - a couple items
- go to coffee shop with dh
- write card for ds
- lists in notebook
- order wedding gift
- payroll: set up subbing lesson plan document
- payroll: update exam record
- dinner: leftover chicken cacciatore, rice, veggie - TBD; maybe salad
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- update goodreads
- finish book :) (Happiness Falls)
- check in with dbro re: new trustee proposed by the lawyer
- other things?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self -- much higher than yesterday after indiscriminate eating at a restaurant :D
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website

kitkat, beehives are kinda really a thing here - a lot of places even in the city have them, like museums and even some hotels will have a beehive on the roof and serve their own honey :-) DS14's school has two beehives in their gardens, and the biology professor hosts a beekeeper club once a week. They do theory and also maintenance of the hives, and at least once a year DS will bring home a big jar of their honey :-) It's offered to all students (even the junior freshmen, which would be 6th grade in US counting) and this is the third year he's been going.
lauralind, how kind of you to help the man! Does he have young kids?
helia, the jump arena is for the girls only (the number of participants was limited by the size of my car - so I was driving 8 teen girls, can you imagine the chattering noise? :-) ) and we'll share the cake, but then I hope the girls will just do their girly stuff either in the garden or in their room.

I am sitting with my laptop at the cafe of the jump park, fully intending to work on my taxes. Realistically, it's about an hour's work, but I have some major I Don't Wannas :-) But I can do anything for a 15, right? :-)

I'll try to make this quick without writing a book. Helian it's a community concert band just started this year. Festival everywhere in different communities. Kinda competitive against other performers. A goal for music lessons etc. We played the first night. Honors concert is for the high end winners to showcase everything. Kinda. Its much less competitive here atm. No one to compete with the band. If that makes sense.

Trissie there's a whole book to write on this man but I won't atm. He has 20 ish grandson (he calls him dad) .. he's down syndrome and grandpa has raised him. With grandma his wife. Then another care aid and then 5 year ago he found a new lady. Now she passed too.. a whole other story on that lol. Abbreviation and probably makes no sense. The church helped with the funeral. And did some meals for them.

Anyway story of my life.. change plans. Ds is going to do some tiling. I said I would go help till lunch time. I think the baking will happen tomorrow 😋... now I'm almost late..

Hi there, L.Ann!
lauralind, that's very sad... but at least he has the community to help him!

I've been very productive! First draft of the rental accounting is done, I just need to check everything and the rest of my taxes will be a breeze, I just need to scan the payroll confirmation I have at work and file everything. Luckily, our tax system is pretty easy to navigate - I log into official website with my BankID (that's a verification system which allows to use the secure banking systems to confirm my identity) and just input the numbers and be done. I do feel much better now that I have things under control.

Have a good time at the women's breakfast, Kittykatt. I hope that your DH enjoys his day with the trains.

LOL, you are welcome to share our salmon, trissie. I have been known to sneak a forkful as I am getting a piece for Germane.
Our geraniums are often red or white, and they have a nice fresh smell that is more clean than sweet. I think that ours look more like Kittykatt's.

And that's the end of Page 1. Time to put on coffee.

Saturday
Picked up dog food
Heart pill for Germane
Cleaned up after dog
Dug out coffee from walk-in closet

I'm still sitting here doing nothing. I had lunch and then got totally distracted. I need to get going. It's almost 2 pm so I hope I can salvage a few hours of this day.
