Dh said he was going outside to do some stuff. When he came in a while later he told me he had taken out the garden hose and hung it up and "that's enough for today". I was making myself a hot tea. Dh asked if he could have a hot tea, so I asked him what kind. I opened the tea cupboard (a ridiculously narrow cupboard between the stove and the fridge) and he saw one of his old favourites (orange honeybush something) so he chose that one.
While we were sitting there I told him I had deleted over 40 people from my phone yesterday. He handed me his phone and asked me to show him how to do that. I helped him delete almost 60 people from his phone. I told him that was enough adulting for him today. He wanted to know what that meant so I explained it to him. I told him that I try to be an adult at least once a week and more than once a week is a bonus. So he did another very adult thing. He called someone on the phone and told him he wanted to come to see him because he owed him an apology and he said it was something he wanted to do in person. They will get together tomorrow. I'm happy because in this community, having a friend who happens to be a farmer is always a good thing. (Dh mouthed off to the guy last year at some point.)
Sorry for the long boring posts, but anything dh does that isn't another setback feels like something I need to celebrate. Even if it is just going outside and putting the garden hose up on it's holder.

Oh! Cartoonists -- I love Charles Shultz too, and a bunch of others too.
Do y'all remember, my dh used to read the comics on a phone app, and he read ALL of them... he would get all OCD if he missed a day. SMH...

Re: wednesday and It's a Wonderful World
LucyL. congratulations on your dmom's phone task done.
I had a good talked with dsis.
AC is on 1st time this year not really needed right now but wanted to make sure it's okay. Yea for the win!
I have unrolled the hoses and watered a bit in the back.
It's not a big weeding day today.
Trying to stay closer to ddoggo today b/c she got her shots this morning.
She's napping now.
Got my steps in despite forgetting my phone on a walk and mowing the first 1/2 of the yard.
Read a chapter in my current read and took some notes while I was outside on the lawn chair with
bare feet on the grass.
Next figure out my dinner plans.
A/C all good yea!
I lost at yarn chicken had to pick out half of a row.
Had to turn a/c up 2x. SO glad I mowed when I did it's clouded up today here now.

Re: wednesday and It's a Wonderful World
Happy to hear Nancy's ddog had a good appt.
I like the sound of LadyM's new light mower.
agreeing with atlantic flyer, Bill Keene just wonderful.
Hope our travelers Costumelady and Twins' Mom are enjoying.
It feels as though I've spent all day on history.
A dcousin and I stayed on the phone for well more than an hour and 4 historic articles from 1870s were discovered, plus we deciphered some initials of organizations. We learned that the college president billed as keynote speaker became sick and asked a minister from a large city church to substitute, so no one heard the talk they expected. Then we each continued on our own, each finding out other bits about particular people, especially the ages of the children mentioned. My great uncle was 14 when he entered part of a competition at the event - the winner was 12. Our mutual great aunt was mentioned, etc.
I finally sent that collection back to the minister at 9:00 p.m., although of course all that time wasn't taken up with it.
Ds dropped by and had history on his mind, too. He had been researching my maiden name and learned several interesting things. He picked up the Mother's Day present for ddil that he had had sent to our house.
Any pain I've had all day is still in the previously operated-on eye, not the new one. So, it must have to do with eyestrain from trying so hard to focus when it just can't. I probably should be using drops in it every day, though I hate to start on yet another med-type responsibility to remember.
We had rain - not much but it seemed to me that it was going to help. I tugged some potted plants out of the way. DgdC came with her ddad and said at her lunch at school she could hear the rain just pounding on the roof, so I think I did the right thing. HRH was not amused at me moving anything, though.
