I believe I sleep better once the light and sound is off, plus when I awake the tv is off so it doesn't distract me from anything while I'm trying to get d2s and do my morning routine.
I'm still up super late, but that is not likely to change anytime soon.
Last night, I kept hearing BIRDS chirping outside my window. That was something new. They were pretty loud. What kind of birds stay up all night? (They weren't owls, just regular bird chirps.)
Perhaps the nightingale, as Juliet said, "Nightly she sings on yon pomegranate tree..."
Anyway -- up, d2s, morning stretches, tidied bed, Bible reading, sent message to lady who sang at church yesterday (found her on Facebook).
(She sang the Rhonda Vincent song, "There is a Record Book," which is very meaningful to me, and when I told her, she said she had actually planned to sing something else and it didn't work out. I took that as a further sign that I needed to hear this particular song yesterday.)
Swept the kitchen, watered the plants, brought the garbage can back to the house.
Wmart order was ready -- went to post office, bank, service station for pizza, and Sonic for orange Fanta with vanilla and sweet cream and cheese sticks.
Put away groceries... ate... talked to ds...
Sent text messages and emails to teacher group.
The main categories in the NokBox are
Nokbox Directions
Primary Residence
Vehicles
Bank Accounts
Insurance
Investments
Debt
Income
Assets
Family and Friends
Education and Career
Health
Communities and Online Accounts
Legal and Tax
Estate Documents
These are all broken down into sub-categories --
Primary Residence
-- Mortgage or Lease
-- Utilities & HOA
-- Maintenance & Repairs
-- People (ex. neighbors who might have access to your home, service people, etc.)
-- Home Inventory and Other Information (it suggests taking a video and in this folder you could put where that video was stored)
* There are pages pre-printed for each of these and you can just fill in the info someone might need. Such as the receipt for my new roof, right? Or maybe that would go in the Insurance folder? I'm sure it will tell me which to use -- it is VERY detailed.
There is also a bag for keys (with blank labels included) and a bag for important papers, such as wills and deeds, etc.
I can see how this is a very sensible way to keep things organized, even in my own lifetime. Like you said, LadyM, I can see myself adding to this as the years go by, and it will be good to know where everything is. I'm working out of a file box right now, but I believe I have a drawer in a fireproof filing cabinet that I might transfer it all to if/when it is completed for the time being.
You know, I feel a little "disloyal" to dh, because this may mean dismantling some of his filing systems. OTOH, I think his systems leave a lot to be desired.
Binders sound nice too... oh me... don't let me start re-thinking my set up now! I just ordered more file folders from Wmart!
I have a couple hours before I have to leave for the ballgame. I better do another load of laundry.
Last night, dgs said he would be glad when dgd's softball season was over, and ds said, "What's it to you??? You haven't even been to hardly any of her games -- and when you did go, you just ran around with your friends!"
DGS had no answer to that.
