I cut the grass at the front, back and sides. I think I missed a few spots. I tried a different pattern and I think I probably drove over the same spots too many times. Dh hasn't felt good all day although he had fruit this morning to get the sugar up, then a fried egg sandwich on whole wheat with oats. Later he had some crackers and the leftover turkey from last night.

How do all the trays get "lost" under the other pots and large utensils. I decided that those would get done first this morning. Now there are large utensils and 2 pots left to do.

A/C is one along with one large fan that goes from side to side to blow the air around more. I closed all of the windows that dh opened overnight.

Oy. My body work appointment was at 11:30, not 10 a.m. so I need to reschedule for him. Dh and I were having lunch with friends at 12:30.

We're home from there, and I've dealt with several HOA matters.

This a.m. someone reported a neighbor for putting their trash into the pool trash can because they missed the pick up, so HOA prez sent an email and copied us - turns out it was his own trash can that had been emptied but not everything came out, so he added something to it and moved it across the street for truck to get on their return trip through. (Lives across the street from the pool) And a board member is so persnicky she complained about the "garage" bookcases that the newest neighbor had placed at the street - whoops, I talked to him yesterday and told him that someone might want for storage - so I had to contact him to let him know that they needed to be moved. I gave him info on drop off facility near here and the schedule for the city pick up, which isn't until the second week of June. That was fine with him, he's so new we don't have an email but I gave him the link to the neighborhood Facebook to get him in. (I welcomed them to the neighborhood and informed there were bookcases for grabs on Facebook group.)

I haven't CUOPed yet.

Mystery, I'm right there with you in a tizzy. Wrong time this a.m., and temple admin emailed about our appointment tomorrow and I started to tell her today was Monday.

60 years with glasses from the minute I awaken until the minute I lay my head down, and now - nekked.

I'd feel the same way Harriet, and IKWYM about the glasses making things less noticeable - I've always favored glasses with a strong line across my brow because my eyebrows are so sparse and light. But they will get used to seeing you the way you look now and won't notice a thing about it in two months.

LadyM, exciting! Last day of school and assurances from financial advisor! Mine indicated that he had planned for a new car for me in our retirement planning.

Art date Nancy? And what do your plants need? I just purchased a tomato booster fertilizer and another for more blooms from zinnias and geraniums.

Glad to see Lucylee, both last night and today! Sweet of the teachers, too.

Cathy, sorry dh had a low during the night and is feeling poorly. How is his bs running today?

I enjoyed driving the new car btw and it does smell new. I'm going out now to run my three little errands - two banks and Lowes. I have less than an hour until banks close so there first...

I took DH to get his afternoon coffee & treat. He spilled his coffee in the car on the way home. Thankfully he didn't get burned and it was plain black coffee so no stickiness to deal with.

The shredder bin has been filled and emptied again. Paperwork progress is being made every day even though it seems mighty slow progress. The NOK binder is growing as account information is being gathered and assembled in an orderly fashion.

I am watching Poldark series to help keep me engaged while going through paperwork.

LadyM, Floyd Cramer is a name that tickles at the back of my head but I cannot place -- I guess that's what the internet is for. Ah! Just listened to "Java" now. Much fun.

Cathy, how kind of you and your DH to share your garden! I do hope he's feeling better soon.

Thanks for the sympathy, Harriet! I, too, would feel weird without my glasses. I did use to wear contacts, but between new-mom busyness and growing astigmatism, I gave them up about 25 years ago. Although I do take my glasses off from time to time to read -- sometimes it's better to use my no-longer-quite-so-near nearsightedness than the progressive lens.

Twins, you can count me among those who look browless without my glasses. I've got visible tufts at the inner end, but as you move outward, they quickly fade to wispy and not dark enough to be seen against my skin. What needed to be decided about your car?

I'm glad I don't have the hassle of an HOA. We have the beach club, and although that is limited to the streets in the development that established it, it is voluntary. Don't want to join, don't pay. (If you do want to join, however, they instituted a joining fee on top of dues about 20 years ago, after they assessed all the current members for shoring up the beach wall. Now all new members get assessed a fee which goes to the capital fund.) And there are no rules for anything other than the club.

I'm interested in your art date, Nancy. To view? To do?

lucylee, I'm glad you're setting some boundaries around summer visiting time. You do need time for yourself. As I get older, I am better understanding my mother's attitude of "I already raised mine!"

Waving to aflyer! Oh, my goodness! It's evening in this time zone, too! How did that happen?

DH is out with the guys tonight. The offspring and I will head out to pick up an order at Tarjay and stop for dinner at a drive-in near there. I have to decide whether we'll eat there or at home; I won't get a drink if we're eating at home, since the Tarjay trip includes a few cases of pop. DH and his team won the Brain Brawl (trivia contest) this morning; neither of the teams that made the finals had any seniors on them, so they were able to delay the final to this week, when DH was back. Did get planting supplies yesterday but have not made any inroads. Kind of a shame, as I dressed to get dirty.

And that is the extent of the news today at Lake... Erie. (No Wobegon here.) Will wish you all sweet dreams in advance!

Dh's sugar is still less than 9, but it has been rising steadily since this morning.

Art Date / Today I went to the garden Center Got another cherry Tom. plant and a diff. push broom. & Rx.
Plus three hydrangea plants . white pink & purple or blue plants and some taller marigolds 7 supposed to be 8
Oh well one less hole to dig! LOL!

Then it was to the next stop near by a diff. greenhouse for purple leaf sage aka salvia and a water color journal.
I took vid. for my yt while there but it's not scheduled yet still need to do that.

Found a spot for them to go and planted em.
Had lunch then got the cherry tom. in and the marigolds and
the sage.

Walked the rest of our route and I used the broom to sweep seeds and stems off the drive way.
I had hosed out the dog crate and got it back inside now.

It was nice to sit outside with bare feet on the grass in my lawn chair and use my now blue side table!

An Art Date / Is a solo adventure for an hour or so to get inspiration for creativity writing painting gardening what ever you need it for.
[You take your inner artist out.] / I wore my rose ring my granny gave me that's who got me started gardening. Also a necklace
I made of beads and an amethyst stone with a bail on it as well. Jeans and a long sleeved tee shirt and hot pink shoes!
Just to make it special.

It was a challenge to try to fit 3 hydrangea plants in the dog crate she was at home on purpose.
I only got two to fit with the smaller plants one of the hydrangeas went in the smaller tote with one small plant.
I took the jeep and it was fun to get the push broom it fit in it too!
That kept water and dirt off the rig.

I came home on the scenic route by the Snake [river] release negative energy.
Tug boats and barges are usually there getting grain and wood chips for over seas shipping.
Drove by fields in a lush green of wheat only one other rig on the road maybe two.
I had the radio turned up and was singing at the top of my lungs.
Some times I get take out today I did not.

Then rinsed out the dog crate and tote I used to put in the wagon
for moving plants to the back yard.
It was perfect weather for it!

Nancy I think curious minds need to know more about your "date". Was it with one of your family members or a new-to-you person?

Nancy, sounds like a wonderful day - lots of watercolor enjoyment in store with the journal. You can give your puppy extra attention later to make up for it! The salvia will be so attractive to butterflies, maybe hummingbirds.

Oh, reminds me - saw one hummingbird here yesterday checking out one of my garden beds that has some of the pink vista petunia. In theory, that one is visible from such a distance (vista name), so is why it gets attention.

The children inspected every plant with me and gave comments. DgdC admired the same one I gave her for her bday 2 years ago and it dawned on me too late I should have just given her one of the 3 I have right now - not so established in the dirt yet that it couldn't take transplanting.

A couple mistaken grocery items that were delivered in error were just what dgsW likes, so they are out the door.

HRH would like to go out in early afternoon tomorrow and possibly see a movie, highly unusual for us. We're just watching the weather.

Rain comes in Thursday and stays for days, possibly rescuing us from this drought. The only disappointment for me is that I can't get done with the potting up I'd wanted to have finished. If we do go out tomorrow, maybe I'll just buy the least of what I need (a little potting soil would help) in a fast swing through a store so I can get things ready and finished tomorrow night, Thurs a.m.
