L.Ann I hope the x-ray brings good news.

Dogged a doctor visit after a long time without any visits, is certainly a good thing.

kittykatt You will probably have to train your DH, when he retires, to allow you some alone time. Or just close the door :D Are husbands harder to train than cats ?

So DS7 has a bacterial angina. He is supposed to take amoxicillin, but right now he's really not hungry so I will wait a bit, as it's supposed to be taken together with food. He could be contagious but the DR thinks he can go to school tomorrow if he feels up to it. I hope he does, it's hard to get anything done with h im around so I might as well be at payroll and earn some money.

TADAs
entertain my not really sick kid
doc appt at 11.45
pharmacist, then prepared the powder and water mix
photobook is finished and paid for
ate a bit

TODO
eat a bit more, convince DS7 to eat, give him a dose of antibiotics
send dooctor's certificate to payroll (or bring it tomorrow)
maybe fill tax form online?
some cleaning and putting away that hasn't been done during the weekend
a session of dandelion destruction ?
prepare dinner
maybe other productive things

Good morning to my hard-working friends:)

Thanks for the start trissie - I haven't tried Matcha ... maybe this is a sign? How was your weekend?
FFly first time I heard of 'bacterial angina' - had to look it up. Hope Ds is over it soon. Strep infections are nasty. (I caught it from my DD once - be careful)
I guess, cooler is desirable now, Kittykatt?
Dogged - I'm glad you found a dr. It IS hard.
LAnn - hope DD is fully recovered

Monday - my fav. day of the week. Somehow, magically, my house will get back to order - all my routines will be in place, the day will be 48 hours long - there will be time for everything...

Back to reality:
I need to start MR,
drop off pup
(the-never-ending) laundry
bake tempeh
do have a chat with Dfriend on zoom at noon
cook dinner (cauliflower?)
need to get baby gift
pu pup
go to gym

Morning all. Oh no I hope ds7 keeps recovering. I think I missed him being sick. Here they would rather them home too but nothing says they have to so he should be fine tomorrow. With ds16 though he's still really hard to tell if he's actually sick. Many days if he's late on his getting up routine and looking like not moving fast he's gonna resist going. I think it's just the autism and sleep issues and he says he doesn't know why he's so tired 😴. Just a few more weeks then we have to sort out summer.

It's hard to find a dr here too. One really good one and the rest are ok but need several more and for them to want to stay in rural northwest.

Anyway yesterday was church. Home for lunch and then I did up most of my flowers. A few more to do yet I have enough for one more pot that I think is gonna try to be a little creative. Maybe. Plus the sensitive marigolds etc . Maybe Wednesday?

Oh and last band for a bit. One more at Canada day. Fun but now I have a challenge... he gave me a piccolo. Yikes. Switching back and forth is fun. The piccolo is so tiny and high and takes a different tension to get that clear high sound but I did it. Not so much on the one super fast song lol. But O Canada works πŸ˜†.

Finish qt and routines. Probably 900 shift. And figure out supper cause we missed our small group prayer time a couple weeks so we're gonna make it work tonight. Little later shift means I need to be organized.

Oh - we're very familiar with matcha tea and flavors here, trissie! I like it; many of our friends love it. There's a sizable Asian community here, and many of our friends are Asian - the Cs are Korean American; AC (my supervisor) is Indonesian American; M our renter is Chinese American. Half of CG2 and more than half of CG1 are Asian (Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese, Vietnamese backgrounds). LOL @ that SHEM! :D
I love your positivity about Mondays, kitkat! 48 hours - wouldn't that be nice? :D
I hope ds7 feels better soon, FFB.
Crossing my fingers that the chest X Ray will be clear for DD33, L Ann.
It feels good to get a bunch of small admin tasks done, Kitty. WTG!
Glad you seem to have gotten enough sleep, Doggedly.
Wow, Lauralind, you can play the piccolo too? Do you have training on the flute?

I survived my social and busy Sunday. Seeing baby I on the zoom call was great. πŸ₯° She was SO cute and very active - and I think she understood when we started talking about her. She stopped what she was doing and looked at the screen, giving "us" (or the screen?) big smiles. I think she's quite a happy baby! I can't wait to see her again! She'll be here (with her parents) on June 11. :D

It's nice to be home and to have a relatively low-key week before me. At least payroll won't be as busy. The weather is really lovely, so I can get out and get a lot of exercise.

I need to use this week to start getting things in order as we'll be hosting a houseful of guests June 11 - 15: our son and his family and one of dh's sisters and her eldest DD - flying in from Germany. Our dd30 is having a religious ceremony on June 13, pledging herself to singleness and celibacy (150 years ago, she would be taking orders to become a nun - if she were Catholic), and family is coming to celebrate with us. Our friends the Ks are also coming from Texas, but they're not staying with us - but we want to make sure that we spend time with them.

Next:
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- jog

Later:
- dog park with dd28?
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- some qt
- make the bed
- 12-12:20ish - payroll: phone call with director
- lunch
- after lunch clean up
- 1-1:30? zoom call re: fall plans for the girls
- payroll: collection bin - move
- payroll: curriculum review
- payroll: S4 GGT progress

- what's for dinner?
- towels: fold and p/a
- call venue re: cans of drinks
- other things?
- dinner: TBD
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- update goodreads
- read

TaDas!

- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- reclaimed kitchen
- rewashed a bunch of dishes (the Sunday dinner crew overloaded the dw)

Hi Bama, you have a long list of errands.

trissie what a long day. I hope you can re-load some energy before the next round.

helia, so happy that you have a happy granddaughter !

laura it's hard to tell here too, I really thought DS7 could go to school if we insisted. (but no, he slept most afternoon). Is it easy to play the piccolo ? I have no idea what it sounds like.

kitkat LOL at the way you envision your Monday. Aren't all mornings like that ?

DS7 spent most of the afternoon on the couch, emptied his already empty stomach a few times. Not fun at all. Didn't manage to keep the antibiotics in for more than an hour...
Meanwhile I missed a phone call from the job I applied for, a few weeks ago, wanting to talk for a bit about my profile. They called at 4pm and I saw it at 6pm, to late to call back. MrNG suggests I stay home tomorrow as well and I can phone them quietly during the morning. I may do that. I need to prepare what I'm going to say.

TADAs
DS7 slept, didn't want to eat, so I ate alone
DS7 had a dose of antibiotics
then vomited it all an hour later
spent 15 mns in the attic organizing a bit
started dinner prep

TODO
get dinner ready
manage to give DS7 a real dose of antibiotics
send doctor's certificate to payroll (or bring it tomorrow?)
re-read job offer
maybe fill tax form online?
a session of dandelion destruction ? -> tomorrow ?
bed early
