I think two parties in a single weekend are actually easier - the house will already be clean and all spiffed up, and I am not overdoing it for a children's birthday party - a cake, a couple trays with fruit, vegetables and cheese cubes, a couple bowls of chips and popcorn, and juice/water/kid-friendly soda, and that's it. They will have full access to the swimming pool, the trampoline, and DBD's toys - not much more they'd need at second grade! 
I feel like we need FFB to weigh in. 
Not my department, and I'm also feeling that I've had enough of organising people to come and work on the house over the last few months! In any case, he gets a perfectly good service watching the TV over the internet, so I dont feel guilty.
