kitkat, I still don't know! I mean, there were 9 kids invited to DBD's party (because she is turning 9), and DH handled his invitations, so he needs to tell me. Usually, there's around 30-40 people, but since it's a 12 hour open house event (10am till usually 10 or 11pm), people just come and go.

TaDas
- evening routine
- bath & story time with DBD
- 15 on pruning - finish lilacs and continue with climber roses
- stuff from master bedroom to attic

ToDos
- 30 on laundry
- confirm attendance list & final menu
- grocery order from Tesco

Braindump
home - routines-food-general
- bake something sweet
home - room by room
- DBD's room
- twins' room
- DS15's room
- master bedroom
- living room
- downstairs bathroom and hallways
- office
garden
- garage - usable for DH's car
- carport - usable for my car
party
- shopping list

I have been doing paperwork to avoid rolling up my sleeves and starting on the bed, and I have a big procrastaccomplishment! I managed to get my Old Age Security changed to direct deposit. For some reason, it's a separate system from the pension plan. It's super easy to get the pension deposited to your bank account, but OAS comes out in a cheque and every time I have tried to get it switched over, I end up backing away with my fingers making a cross. I can't quite drop the idea, because banks are making it harder and harder to make a deposit at the ATM, and while my car has been running very well I realize that it's a matter of time before it bellies up for good and stops taking me to my own bank. Well, I tried the online instructions and just went around in circles until it told me to use my phone. I had no confidence in that, having heard radio programs about how bad the phone service of our govt is. But it tried it, and it was fantastic. I reached a competent agent right away, she asked a bunch of security questions and then she took care of it for me. Starting in July, my money will go straight into my account.

I remember the Labrador days, kitkat. Momentum was the best and kindest of dogs, but I remember thinking that he could be kind of a jerk when he didn't get enough exercise, LOL. You are doing the right thing for both your dog and your sanity.

You can tell that I don't make my own jam, LOL, trissie! I hope that you get a nice, restful float in the pool.
Wow, that is a LONG party. And then a kids party the next day. Your energy is amazing!

Dogged - I remember Momentum.... Was he yellow or black?
I try really hard for enough exercise - inside, outside, using some equipment like steps, cones, balls, tug...
They really lose their minds if they don't have enough.

Back from gym - girls arrived - I'm off to make Dutch Baby for them:)
Might be my last post of the day.
Have a great night everyone!

Momentum was a black Lab, kitkat. When I can choose, I always choose a black short haired or smooth coated dog. I always remember my foster mother choosing the one blonde spaniel in the litter because her fur would match the carpet, and since thenI had read and read about big black dogs being the last to be adopted.

Thursday
Got the dw and laundry carts back into walk-in closet
Rearranged the rest of the carts and the box so that I could set up the big drying rack
Hung the dried laundry
Was able to hang the delicates on the other side of the same rack, so I didn’t have to give up space near the bed for the small drying rack
Hung the laundry bags
Spread stuff on hangers around the apartment to dry
Swapped out kitchen cloths
Put away the laundry bags
Checked laundry and put away dry
Cleaned receipts out of purse and filed by month
Tried again to register OAS for direct deposit: jumped through a new set of hoops to log in and then just got sent around in circles.
Despite all of the horror stories that I hear about waiting forever trying to reach govt workers, called the phone number on the insert. Worked my way through the IVR tree and reached an agent right away. She was so helpful. Got direct deposit set up for July.
Rearranged the boxes of pee pads. Discovered that a box of 100 good quality ones weighs more than 150 of my usual ones. Saving the good ones for my trip to my db’s house.
Gave Germane her heart pill
Cleaned up after Germane
FACE: Paid bills, transferred money to chequing account
Did a scavenger hunt for clean bedding
Stripped the bed
Wrestled the new mattress topper out of its box and wrapper
Wrestled the new mattress topper into a mattress protector
Made the bed
Bagged the dirty laundry and tried to find places to stash it
Fed Germane
She brought it back up, but on her pee pads. Can’t ask for better than that.
Cleaned up after dog.
Gave her tiny pieces of salmon

All done for today.
