Re: Christopher Wren Wednesday
Welcome back LAnn - I hope you had lots of fun - we missed your posts:)
Bama - hope you find solutions. (I have no trouble with Melatonin - but it really does very little for me)
Dogged - a balcony or a porch is a must in this climate. The cold season is SO long... We need our Vit D...
Do you have a little table so you could have snacks/meals there?
Laurlind enjoy your free-er day
trissie slow down - too hot for running.
helia - I'll take tempeh and overnight oats with strawberries to DD:) (I was going to ask when is YOUR vacation...)
We have pleasant weather - I think around 23-24 C.
Did:
coffee
texts with df
started lol
D2S
med
pup walk
quick breakfast/suppl.
gym
enjoying 2nd cup
then:
pup out
lol adv/start
bake tempeh

Re: Christopher Wren Wednesday
What was that flash? Oh it’s trissie zooming on by.

Dogged, daunt was one of a kind. I loathed her when I was little, I thought she was mean, now I think of her as very practical and a hard worker, no time for nonsense. She was kind to me in her latter years and we had some good times together. Hope you get your vitamin d today. That Bob is a genius.
KitKat, do you do a certain workout at the gym or pick different machines each time?
Lann, it got rough here. I’m glad you missed the worst of your weather.
Sleeping in separate rooms used to be seen as a bad thing by me but now I enjoy it and couldn’t go back. It’s not as uncommon as it used to be.
Beau is still limping so I gave him a pain pill he hadn’t used last time, keeping an eye on him and it will be a calm day inside for the most part. He still has to go outside to take care of “business” but otherwise, inside is fine. Maybe I’ll make a lick mat for him.
Dh is at the vet with little man, who I discovered can meow quite loudly, he has been mouthing “meow” when he wants me so I thought he had lost his voice. Oh well. It earned him a trip to the vet so we shall see what she finds.
I forgot we had discussed eating out at a certain restaurant today since dd is off work so trying to get have to’s done so we can make lunch. They have a wonderful salad bar.
Done:
Little man to the vet
Dust
Feed water pets
Scoop litter
Gave Beau med for limping
Today’s poda:
Vacuum
Mop
Set trap for Lola?
Trash round up - in progress
Load up donations in car to drop off maybe Friday
Ride mow
Push mow turkey yard and dog yard (if mower will start)
Paper chores - fill out medical forms for cruise

Re: Christopher Wren Wednesday
Welcome back L Ann! I'm looking forward to hearing about your adventures! My goodness on the lack of sleep - I hope you can get some serious R and R now.
Yum, kitkat! My vacation is the end of August before the girls arrive. I should have a week, maybe a bit more with no payroll, no ceremony or reception to organize, no houseguests (maybe my dbro for the weekend, though), and no travel.
Waving at you running by, trissie! Happy errands!
Yay for hot water with pressure, Doggedly!
Bama, that sounds really difficult. I think it's not uncommon for couples to sleep in separate bedrooms as thy grow older -- not that you and Dh are older!
Just agreeing it's not uncommon. I know a few couples who sleep in separate bedrooms. Whatever it takes to get good sleep is the important thing.
I hope you can get to some crafty activities today, Lauralind.
Back from the school for some mundane tasks. I'm having lunch. Starting a lol and getting in some QT is next. I have 1:50 before I head otd again.
Next:
- back exercises
- start a lol
- some qt
Later:
- make the bed
- update lists
- confirm with dh which of 2 weekends we could host dbro (one available weekend in July and one in August - that's all we have)
- text dbro - late father's day greeting + time he can visit us (we have maybe
- email cousins J and J re: famous 4 field
- payroll: check S4 GGT
- WF - odds and ends for camping and for dinner
- after lunch clean up
- lights: w d f pa
- darks: w d f pa
- write out menu plan for the week (I always stick this on the fridge)
- figure out menu plan for camping trip
- help shop for camping trip?
- start packing for camping trip
- 2-3 work out with AS
- 3:45 - 5:15 walk with MM
- dinner: leftover lentils, rice, roasted broccoli
- after dinner clean up
- bins back to the house
- duolingo
- update health apps
- graduation card and gift to AR
- other things??
TaDas!
- up; weighed self - still moving down
- s2s; still need to spiff myself
- M and friend reclaimed the kitchen
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- spiffed myself
- in to payroll - saw new space, wrote good bye notes to students leaving, and cleared out my desk - but nothing was really there
- home; lunch - wip
- text to JY to schedule next haircut

Re: Christopher Wren Wednesday
lol Helia, we are old, I just hate to admit it. He’s 65 and I’m 61, no spring chickens anymore. It’s a little harder to get used to than I thought it would be. All of his health issues don’t help.
Some good-ish news on Little Man, he has an infection in his mouth so she gave him an antibiotic shot and put him on the Solensia regimen. All labs are in normal range. He’s roaming the house, checking everything out, like we moved the furniture and changed out everything while he was gone.
Taking a break before I shower and head out to lunch.
Done:
Little man to the vet
Dust
Feed water pets
Scoop litter
Gave Beau med for limping
Vacuum
Trash all rounded up - just need to empty the kitchen bin before we take the can to the road
Today’s poda:
Mop
Set trap for Lola?
Load up donations in car to drop off maybe Friday
Ride mow
Push mow turkey yard and dog yard (if mower will start)
Paper chores - fill out medical forms for cruise

Re: Christopher Wren Wednesday
Was that the Doppler Effect? No, it was trissie racing by!
I'm glad that you get to share in the nice summer weather, L.Ann, and excellent strategy on missing the storms. Welcome home. Are you happy to see your own bed, or are you missing the beauty of Hawaii?
You are right, kitkat. Our summers are so short, and I am not an outdoorsy person so there is always a reason to stay inside. The balcony offers a solution. It, like me, is not a morning person. It faces west, so there is sun when I'm ready to benefit from it. I have a little pretend-wrought-iron bistro table with chair and stool (I left the back off of one chair to have the option.) When I feel like I can deal with weather but it's too peoply out there, or I don't want to dress properly in long pants and a tshirt that doesn't have dishwater splashed on it, I can sit on the balcony and appear respectable. Like a trial package for outdoors.
I'm glad that you got to see another side of your daunt and understand her better, Bama.
Bama, if you had British relatives, sleeping in separate rooms would not seem that unusual. At least that was my experience growing up. It's just practical.
Imagine those vets fixing Little Man's voice before he even made it into their examining room. The miracle of modern medicine. I'm glad that the vet found something treatable, and that he is showing proper feline suspicion that you might have moved something in his absence.
Germane is like Beau. The visit to the groomer is quite a workout for her, so today she got up very late, got her peanut butter and heart pill and went straight back to bed. She will be displeased when I need the bathroom to shower and wash my hair.
It sounds like payroll was relatively peaceful, helia. You need that after your super busy week last week.
That is Page 3. I skipped Page 2, but will go back to it when I settle in for my afternoon programs.
Wednesday
Cleaned up after Germane
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away the dry dishes
Washed a few dishes
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed some dishes
Dried/put away some dishes
Heart pill for Germane
