I hope that Kittykatt, trissie and FrenchFly are staying cool.

I hope that dpup continues to eat and drink normally, kitkat.

You will indeed need a vacation from your vacation, helia.

A surprise Scout barbeque! Just what you didn't need in a heat wave. It would sink a lesser woman, but we have faith in you, trissie.

I think that L.Ann is dozing off over her supper about now...

We are never at a loss for choices for our "time off" Lauralind. I hope that you find something satisfying and not too tiring.

(((Bama))) It looks like you have tried all of the ways to cope with your DH's snoring.

I bought a bag of Macintosh apples that I think were mislabelled. They are hard, sweet with no tartness, and big enough that I have to question my level of commitment before sitting down to eat one. Ate one.

Wednesday
Cleaned up after Germane

Put away the dry dishes
Washed a few dishes
Scrubbed out sink and basin

Broom/dustpan:
Swept up the leaves under the plants
Moved dog dishes and swept kibble out of Germane’s pen

Cleaned up after Germane.
Gave her a spoonful of dog food and treats

It's 10:00, the scouts left just after 9, I've bathed DBD, read her good night story, and now am ready to tackle the mess left behind :-)
I am glad I was able to comfortably say "yes, I can" to a last minute request to host the BBQ (the family that was to host originally fell ill) - knowing the outside was still OK from the weekend and trusting in the power of the high-impact reset exercise. I guess that's how born organized people (or maybe people who do not have 4 messy kids) live? :-)

TaDas
- clean kitchen
- errands: drop off recyclings, pick up package, pick up DBD from her scout session
- 10 minute outside rescue
- host a last minute scout BBQ
- water veggie garden
- water flowerpots
- remains of BBQ put away
- bathe DBD
- read her bedtime story

ToDos
- evening routine
- 1 batch of cherry jam
- at least 15 on laundry, but not after 11pm

Slowly making progress. I tackled the craft room. Once those rooms are done the cats are not allowed in there. They are so bad. Bed is made and I turned it around. Washed the walls in areas. And cleaned the desk. Almost done the variegated pink 💗. There's purple 💜 and white. Deciding on Grey or if I can use a different kind of yarn. I have some yellow 💛 but it's a different brand. My one afghan in granny square it stretched out. Except the different green those squares shrunk tight. I don't want that.

Ok it's grey . 🩶the yellow is nylon that won't work.

I found the sander. No idea where it's paper is. Oh well.

trissie, that is awesome that you were able to step up and save the barbeque.

No, kitkat, Germane won't even open her mouth for fruit. Did dpup enjoy her walk?

That sonds like a good start, Lauralind.

I should start organizing myself for the Stitch N Bitch tonight.

Oh wow, trissie - I just realized that you spontaneously hosted the scout BBQ. Did others provide the food? You are definitely the little engine that could! (Are you sure you're not BO?)
What are you stitching, Doggedly?
What will you be making with gray yarn, Lauralind?
WTG on all you've accomplished, kitkat. I'm not jogging today. I don't jog the same day I work out with my trainer. I did walk for an hour with friend MM.
I suppose you've crashed by now, L Ann.

I came home after walking with my friend to empty my bladder. I'm heading out now to WF to pick up some things for the camping trip. Then, I'll get dinner.

Next:
- WF
- put food away
- start rice for dinner

Later:
- back exercises
- make the bed
- update lists
- confirm with dh which of 2 weekends we could host dbro (one available weekend in July and one in August - that's all we have)
- text dbro - late father's day greeting + time he can visit us (we have maybe
- email cousins J and J re: famous 4 field
- payroll: check S4 GGT
- WF - odds and ends for camping and for dinner
- lights: w d f pa
- darks: w d f pa
- write out menu plan for the week (I always stick this on the fridge)
- help shop for camping trip?
- start packing for camping trip
- dinner: leftover lentils, rice, roasted broccoli
- after dinner clean up
- bins back to the house
- duolingo
- update health apps
- graduation card and gift to AR
- other things??

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - still moving down
- s2s; still need to spiff myself
- M and friend reclaimed the kitchen
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- spiffed myself
- in to payroll - saw new space, wrote good bye notes to students leaving, and cleared out my desk - but nothing was really there
- home; lunch - wip
- text to JY to schedule next haircut - it's already on the calendar.
- darks: washed and dried
- some qt
- after lunch clean up
- got distracted by videos of Europeans discovering things about the USA - some are funny! Ranch dressing?? LOL!
- 2-3 work out with AS
- payroll: edited 1 exam; communication with AC re: mini discussion topic for PD on Tuesday
- typed recipe for chicken lettuce wraps into our family recipe folder in G drive
- figured out camping trip menu with dh
- made grocery list
- 3:45 - 4:45 walked with MM

It's going in my future dgd baby blanket. I was thinking out loud deciding color. White. Lilac. Variegated pink and Grey stripes. I suppose I could find a group email and send a picture that way once I get further.

I can't find the sandpaper for the sander. Dh says we have lots somewhere but I've looked everywhere I think it could be. So I hooked up the hose and sprayed off the deck and walls and grill and the table. Got some of the loose stuff off with the hose and looks like I have a new grill. I cleaned that too. All the grease and cobwebs off the outside. Now I can reassemble itvall and actually use it for company.

Hmm I think I'm going to make coffee and something for snack and let that all dry out there.

Dogged yes, indeed. She enjoyed the walk and the different smells. It's a good place bc the paths are wide and it's not too busy during the week.
DD's old dog used to eat an apple just like a human.

Lauralind, productive day for you.

helia WTG - trainer, jogging, walking AND a social life!

OK.
We (hopefully) are back to normal with DDog. (big relief for me. I was really worried about an obstruction... )
Just finished feeding her dinner.
Paid online bills (finally)
put away monster pile upstairs
put some photos in frames
took down throws to wash
rhubarb cooking.
Took my pm. supplements (the ones I tend to forget...)

Next:
lol cont'd
pa rhubarb
read a bit:) Best book ever:)
DGDs are coming shortly

I guess it was a pretty productive day. . Lots of little projects done but none of it finished. I just backtracked the deck projects. Grill was letting the floor dry under it. Mats hanging. Now it's downpoured. Maybe it stopped but everything is wet again. I gotta go straighten everything up.

Dryer has a load of stuffies and blanket. Washer was delicate load with my bedroom curtains and the cushion covers for the red couch. I still have 2 weeks till everyone comes. Things are getting there.

Gonna finish that row and then the first color rotation is done. Start supper. Switch laundry and straighten a few things.

Home again! I had a good time chatting with new and old dfs.

helia, I have been working in the ends of an odd sweater. Now that the ends have been worked in, it is a normal sweater that I bought for cheap because it used to have odd ends hanging off of it.
Then I picked apart the headband from a beanie that I had crocheted. It turned out that the headband part was scratchy, and I prefer the beanie without it.
I hope that your trip to Whole Foods is easy and successful. :)

I'm sure that your company will enjoy what you cook on your nice clean grill, Lauralind.
